We stayed for a couple of weeks to visit all the usual attractions of the gold coast including the theme parks and the bird sanctuary.
We choose this accommodation based on location, price and included car bay.
Overall the accommodation matched the website description. It is well located with Woolworths across the road and several restaurants nearby.
The internet was a bit variable - sometimes we'd get 30mbps other times an unusable speed with timeouts causing us to swap back to Telstra 4G.
The beds were very comfortable and clean.
There was some dust on fittings and skirting boards which maybe caused by the airiness of the apartments.
Overall we had a good stay and the apartment provided value for money with the ability to self cater for a few nights and also wash clothes etc, something that is a bit tricky in a hotel

We stayed here in a lovely apartment overlooking the river during the January School Holidays and had a terrific time. The staff were very helpful and friendly, the location is perfect as you can walk to anything in Surfers Paradise and the tram stop is a few minutes walk away and a short ride to Pacific Fair shopping centre. The pool area with the heated pool/spa and sauna is very well maintained, our kids loved the pool! Can't wait to visit again next year!

Moorings is a great location on the Nerang River. Views from the North Facing Apartment on level 14 were amazing. The river view provided a graet lookout for watching boats, jetskis, paddle boards and river tours go up and down.
The Apartment was spacious and well appointed, with a full size kitchen adjacent to a dining table and views through the open plan loungeroom to the River. Eachof the 2 bedrooms also faced north and provided an equally impressive view. Outside of each bedroom was a balcony, a small but relaxing place to look out. Each bedroom (which coud be shut off from the living area entirely)had its own bathroom and plenty of hanging space. The bathrooms weren't big, but were clean, as was the entire apartment. A laundry was also included in the floor plan, while parking was in the basement, with request for a space after booking.
Moorings is about 500m from thebeach, strainght down Cavill Avenue, so the apartment is close to many shops, supermarkets and various restaurants and fast food outlets. It was a great location and in my opinion better than looking out to a vast ocen with not much going on.
The apartment had access to a pool, overlooking the Nerang river, a spa and sauna were also available to use, plus a kiddies pool and many sun chairs, which were hardly used and always available. The staff were also friendly and accommodating.
We enjoyed our time at Moorings and the Gold Coast and would happily book Moorings agin.

My wife and I have just returned home after spending 3 nights in a spacious 2 bedroom deluxe unit at Moorings On Cavill , On arrival we were greeted by Tammy who had everything ready for us on arrival, we were in our unit in approx.10 minutes from time of arrival, well done Tammy. The unit was spotlessly clean, very spacious and had all the things required for a relaxing holiday,e.g full size kitchen, large dining area, 3 Seater and 2 Seater Leather lounges, large screen TV with Foxtel, Free Internet and Air Conditioning and Ceiling Fans Plus a large balcony with table and chairs. We normally stay in units with Ocean Views when staying on the coast but this time decided on the River views from Moorings, Brilliant views, great variation of vessels cruising past, from $100 tinnies to $1000,000.00 plus luxury craft, you can book cruises from out the front and board the cruise from the back of the resort. The view of the high rises in the evening is lovely, just sit back on your balcony with a nice glass whatever is your pleasure and enjoy, you are across the road from a large variety of restaurants, supermarkets and everything that Cavill Avenue has to offer, leave the car in the safe and secure car park and take a leisurely walk. I can thoroughly recommend Moorings on Cavill to fellow Trip Advisor members.

The hotel is in the best position, across the road from woolies and only a tiny walk to your main attractions along the tram line. We got room 47 which overlooked the river which was perfect~ The place was very tidy and was the perfect space for my boyfriend and I. The main downside was that the stove didn't turn on. and the room was missing a couple essentials that initially would've assumed they'd cater for when they catered for almost everything else. There was a good sized sink and a dishwasher but nothing to clean dishes with. so we had to buy dish tablets before we left as it was only a 3 day trip and fines if it wasn't left clean so. My boyfriend and I ended up leaving a can of oil spray, the dish tablets and some extra rolls of toilet paper (as it's only 1 per person for the entire trip). Hopefully that'll help the next person. normally this wouldn't be an issue but we are young and so so so tight on money so it did put a couple stunts in our budget, especially the stove not working (we had bought stove cooked meals of kebabs, curry and rice). A lot of people complain about the noise but honestly apart from so many sirens just in the city constantly lol, it wasn't that bad. We slept fine. Pillows were nice and the aircon worked (after trying for 10mins to figure it out haha) The TV was really good, I brought my Nintendo switch down with us and we set that up with heaps of ease.
To wrap up, the hotel is really really great location and price is awesome but you have to check EVERYTHING when you arrive because even though it looks like legit everything is covered, there may be a tiny thing missing.

We stayed here over Xmas and new year with two teens. Although the interior and bathrooms are a little dated, our two bedroom apartment on the 14th floor was fit for purpose with plenty of room to live and a fantastic view of the river and city. We did have a couple of maintenance issues during our stay, but they were resolved quickly with no disruption to our stay. Having stayed all over the Gold Coast previously, I can confidently highly recommend staying here - the location is the best for an active holiday. The new ferry just outside, easy access to water activities, tram stop only moments away, free bus to outlet mall only meters away, supermarket directly across the road and amongst the action of Cavill street and the beach in seconds. The pool is delightful with views over the river. As long as you are prepared for the slightly dated interior, you will not be disappointed. We will be back

We have stayed at Moorings on Cavill twice now and are about to book a third time. The position is fantastic, so quiet and peaceful on the river, but just a quick jump over the road and you are in the thick of the action. The apartments are so clean and well presented. The reception staff were always so welcoming and helpful. The pool area is fantastic in the winter months, as it seems protected from the winds and it is easy to swim in the sparkling clean, heated pool. We stayed as a family and the 2 bedroom apartments were perfect for us. I can highly recommend this little gem!!

Location is good as it’s only a short walk to shops and restaurants. We are currently staying in apartment 14 located on level 3. The noise from the cars outside and party goers the last two nights have been so noisy and regardless of windows being shut. We did request to move to a higher level so that it would be quieter given our 1 yr old toddler had continuously woken up throughout the night due to noise… so we had him sleep around 2-5:30am. Sadly, there was very little empathy or attempt to help us, from the lady at the front reception said there’s no other apartments we could change to available during any of the next 5 days stay, I was told that I’ve come to surfers paradise, and I should’ve expected to get little sleep. I understand the apartments have been booked out but I’m sure I’ve seen the cleaner with a vacuum in the morning and other group check in today. There was no attempt to check the system to see if there would be flexibility in swapping rooms in the later days of our stay. Whether it was because there really wasn’t an alternate apartment, she couldn’t be bothered to check or because it would be too much effort to change our rooms, a little empathy would have gone a long way. Also room 14 is listed as a “superior” bedroom apartment however the view of anything is obstructed predominately by trees. So if you were expecting to get a lovely view of the river or city as shown in the photos by numerous visitors- try to avoid this room. Apart from view though it’s an ok apartment, quite big, ok furniture and dated bathrooms. Might as well pay for a budget apartment so you don’t get disappointed. Carpark is ok, a bit of a funny setup but does the job and is included without additional charge, just remember to book in advance.

I could not fault this place in any way. It was clean, spacious and comfortable for the whole family. We looked straight over the Nerang River. It was lovely. It was central and within walking distance to everything. The only issue we had (which really wasn’t an issue) was our dishwasher didn’t work. We advised Kate at reception on Sunday and we had a brand new dishwasher by 10 am Monday morning. We could not have asked got better service. Kate was amazing.

We booked at the very last minute and yet were still allocated a lovely room, third floor with views blocked by trees but still so nice sitting on the balcony in the sunshine with glimpses of the river; higher up must be even lovelier! The staff were extremely friendly and efficient; access after hours was easy and the communication excellent. The room was neat, spacious and comfortable. The pool was very nicely located riverside and the outdoor spa was hot and strong. It was warm enough for an evening swim which we thoroughly enjoyed. It was our first visit and we look forward to returning!

Our 3 bedroom apartment has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Our 2 bedroom apartments have 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
The 3 bedroom sleeps 6, plus we can add in a rollaway bed for the 7th person at a cost of $30 per night.
The 2 bedroom sleeps 4, plus we can add in a rollaway bed for the 5th person at a cost of $30 per night.
The Penthouse has 2 bedrooms/2 bathrooms and once again sleeps 4 plus a rollaway bed for the 5th person at $30 per night.
I cannot give you prices until we know the exact dates you are looking at staying. Please be aware we do not do 1 night bookings, so if you split your stay there cannot be a one night.

The Two Bedroom apartments are usually made as a Queen in the Master Bedroom and 2 singles in the second bedroom however if you would prefer 2 Queens you can simply request this when making your booking and it can be arranged for you prior to your arrival.

Only a sachet of dishwashing liquid, so take your own. There is a dishwasher but only had three tablets there. You will also need your own washing powder if you want to use the washing machine and toilet paper. There is supermarkets close by if you don't bring them. Also you have to pay $5 to use the pool towels.
