The Langham, Gold Coast, is often celebrated for its sophisticated ambiance and luxurious amenities, including a gym, spa, and pools—although the latter can be crowded at times. While opinions on service are mixed, with some guests commending the professionalism and others pointing out inefficiencies, the hotel's beachfront location wins consistent praise, despite some accessibility concerns. Room experiences vary, with commendations for the views but critiques on cleaning and size. The hotel's cleanliness generally impresses, yet the value proposition has been questioned by guests expecting more for their money.

We have spent the last 6 days here and our stay was perfect. The staff were all kind and very courteous during all interactions, and when there was the smallest issue like a drink taking a little longer from the bar it was not charge for without even asking. The service we received was second to none. We had some wind noise issues in our room on the first day and a new one was sorted with no issues at all again. They were always bending over backwards to make our stay as welcoming as possible. We will definitely be back as the place, the staff and the service was beautiful. Yeah it is more expensive than other places but it is worth every cent and more.
Thank you to all the staff you made our holiday and us feel special the entire time. Lastly that scent as you walk into the foyer is just magical. If only I could get my hands on that for home. Pure elegance.

A beautiful hotel which oozes quality, Still in the very new throws of opening the staff went above and beyond to make our stay fabulous which it was.
We had a deluxe skyline ocean room on the 18 floor of the hotel which was large quiet and very clean with a fabulous view of the coastline.
The lifts in the hotel are problematic with all guests that I spoke to struggling to get the room card to swipe for at least 3 or 4 tries.
As the weather was atrocious during our stay we used the indoor pool which is in a beautiful area on the second floor.
We ate in the hotels restaurant Akoya for dinner as at the time it was the only one open. The food which is buffet is superb with the deserts being a standout, the drinks menu is slightly on the expensive
side.
We also had breakfast in the same restaurant which again was superb.
This hotel is easily the best on the Gold coast and after settling in will become an absolute standout.
Special shout out to Jo customer service, and Amy duty manager.

A stay at the Langham is pricey but it’s worth every cent. It’s a true 5 star hotel in terms of room, amenities and service in a beachfront location.

We arrived at midday and upon check in were told our room wasn’t ready - which was expected as we were early - however reception sent a cleaner to our room straight away while we went outside to have lunch and within 30 minutes called to say our room was ready. The room and view are breathtaking. The upgrade to an ocean room is a must. We spent so much time on the balcony enjoying the scenery. The bathroom including the deep speaking tub was huge!

Pool area is beautiful. The kids loved it and never wanted to get out. A big shallow area which is much appreciated as a family with young kids which meant they could play and I didn’t have to worry too much about them getting into the pool.

Staff were amazing. Very friendly and approachable. One lady who greeted us while I was in line waiting for our room key was more than happy to help with anything we needed, greeted everyone in line and came out with stickers for the kids to keep them occupied

Location is in between Surfers and Broadbeach so dining outside of the resort means a bit of a walk however we found a dominos around the block to help with the budget a bit during our stay. However due to the hotel being located outside the main tourist areas the beach was very quiet and peaceful. Cannot wait to return one day.

My teenage daughter and primary school son travelled with me for a 3 day escape to the Gold Coast. We opted to stay in a hotel so we could stay in clean , serviced accomodation next to the beach having spent a week earlier in January in an overpriced dirty Airbnb property in the South Coast. From the moment we checked in to check out we were ignored by front desk staff and concierge who were happier to meet and greet other clientele. In all fairness when staff corresponded by text with me wrt my requests during my stay, their replies were prompt and I wonder if it’s because my lack of physical appearance didn’t trigger unconscious bias? We obviously didn’t look the part. I was made to pay for my full accomodation and some more at check in, an experience I have never had in the multiple five star hotels I’ve stayed around the world when travelling with my husband. I was asked when presenting my credit card ‘ Do you have enough money in your account for me to make this payment?’ I offered my platinum American Express card and was promptly told ‘ Oh Ill use the card you’ve already given me.’

The outdoor pool was small and packed with toddlers and preschoolers with very few wearing swimming nappies , it became a human soup very quickly. We often retreated to the indoor pool and ocean. The best thing about the hotel is accessing the beach and swimming at the patrolled part of the beach was nearby. Again I didn’t look the part so I was self conscious of my shorts and slippers attire or my standard Australian beachwear walking through the lobby.

As expected the food was expensive but I refused to pay $8 for a coffee at their 26 and Sunny cafe. We walked down to Broadbeach around 25 minutes to restaurants and Uber’d elsewhere. There are no restaurants nearby.

There were many young families staying at the hotel and your standard ‘plastic people’ . The hotel was obviously catering to a certain overseas clientele who aren’t the most considerate travellers (ie talking loudly on their balconies or mobile phones, spitting in pools etc). Not sure I’ll return and quite frankly, given I went ignored and unnoticed, we won’t be missed!

We stayed here for 3 days, and what a great experience!

Service: Great service, everyone is friendly. Particularly like the ability to message guest service on what sap of text for anything we need

Location: Located right on the beach so can just walk down for a walk on the sand. There are not really any restaurants or shops around, but its only 10min walk to the tram station to take you to the heart of surfers.

Pool: Absolutely Fantastic. The kids loved it. As we visited at the start of winter we were worried about the cold, however the pool the outdoor pool is heated to such a good temp, you could just sit in the water. Not many resort outdoor pools are heated. Others have said that it gets very windy in pool area (which is true) however is still warm in the water and you could also just move to the indoor pool. The indoor pool is fantastically designed, well heated, very clean and relaxing with calming music playing. I am not normally a pool person, but the experience of the indoor pool was so good and relaxing.

Room: Very well appointed, comfortable beds and extremely clean.

My only annoyance is that the ‘residence’ side of the resort only gets serviced every 2 days. I can understand this in other places where the room rate is lower for ‘residence’ style rooms, however when spending >$1000 per night in off-peak season, I would expect daily housekeeping

We were thrilled with every part of our stay at the Langham.

Throughout the entire stay the staff were incredible, they were all extremely friendly and possibly because of the hotel being recently opened you could tell there was a real joy to their work and pleasure to show us the hotel from the room to the gym and restaurant.

We were lucky enough to be on the 16th floor with ocean view and watching the sunrise was incredible. The room has everything you could need and lives up to a 5 star hotel standard. You can’t beat the location of being right on the beach with onsite parking also being a plus.

The pool was great both the outdoor and indoor pools although potentially may get crowded over summer months and when the hotel is fully opened (September I believe all restaurants will be operating) . It’s one of the better hotels gyms throughout my travels.

The buffets (we had breakfast and dinner at The onsite restaurant Akoya) are amazing with great produce and plenty of options which definitely left me rolling out of the place after consuming way too much food!

Overall it was a wonderful experience and we can’t wait to go back. We would of loved to stay for longer but at this stage price appears to be full rack rate so for us it is constrictive for long stays when comparing other options.

I would definitely recommend giving this hotel a try!

My husband and I celebrated my 40th birthday and our 5 year wedding anniversary at The Langham Gold Coast, and it exceeded every expectation.

From the moment we checked in, the service was impeccable. Staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and enjoyment throughout our stay.

The amenities were exceptional. We had delicious fresh fish and chips with a cocktail from the poolside bar, swam in the heated inviting indoor magnesium pool and took advantage of the gym with modern equipment and a breathtaking beach view.

The Akoya restaurant's buffet breakfast was a highlight, offering an extensive selection of food that catered to every taste, including made-to-order eggs, barista coffee, amazing pastries and fresh fruit.

The lobby bar is beautifully decorated with a great atmosphere. Though the cocktails and dessert were a bit pricey, they were absolutely worth it for a special treat.

Our one-bedroom ocean view apartment was simply stunning, spotlessly clean, and thoughtfully decorated. The room had luxurious amenities such as a pillow menu and a list of complimentary items available upon request, adding a personalised touch to our stay. The inclusion of a washer and dryer was incredibly handy, as was the Bluetooth speaker in the living area and wireless charging station conveniently located next to the bed.

The Langham's attention to detail truly elevated our experience, ensuring every convenience was at our fingertips.
The Langham branded slippers (rubber thongs) were a unique and appreciated touch too!

Parking was included in our stay, and the carpark was easy to locate and manoeuvre around, it was nice and roomy with a huge clearance compared to most hotel carparks!

Despite the wet weather, the staff's warmth and hospitality made our stay unforgettable.
Every interaction, from the lovely staff who checked us in and out, the staff opening the door to our Uber, the friendly poolside staff and quick room service with a smile, left a lasting impression.

We couldn't have asked for a better experience and are already looking forward to our next visit. Thank you for making our celebration truly memorable!

Could not fault any aspect of this hotel. Service was great. Rooms are tastefully decorated with beautiful bathrooms that have a large free standing bath. Ocean view room balcony was also huge with amazing views. Buffett dinner in Akoya restaurant had a great variety of foods, if you are a seafood lover make sure you book in for dinner here during your stay. The Langham Gold Coast is definitely a five star quality hotel.

The hotel itself is beautiful, the lobby is lovely and sets a nice scene. The checkin process was easy and staff were nice. The car parking was a bit unclear and far away compared to other hotels, but fine and free for self parking which is good. The pool looks nice… but it’s tiny. There isn’t enough seating around the pool, and as it’s a small area families stay there all day and have the day beds, so there is minimal chance of getting one. The pool is also between two buildings which means it goes in the shade frequently and can get very windy, really odd spot for a GC hotel pool to be located. Otherwise it’s fine if you don’t mind kids running around you. The hot spa had no working light at night time (it’s open until 10pm so we were in the dark). The gym is nice, indoor pool a good size but you don’t go to the GC to be in an indoor pool. The beach location is great but it’s a decent 20min or so walk to either surfers paradise or Broadbeach.

We had food from the pool bar which said it would be a 45min wait once we ordered - luckily it wasn’t but it was over fried fish and chips. For $30 it was not nice at all. The buffet breakfast was also seriously disappointing. The staff didn’t explain anything upon being seated, and the selection was very limited. The usual eggs, bacon, potatoes, Asian, pastries, yoghurt, fruit and cereal. But the bacon was cold and oily, potatoes not crisped enough, etc.

The room itself was huge and really nice, except the balcony was enclosed… so it was a bit of a hot box and didn’t make it feel like you were on the beach side. Some rooms looked like they had open balconies, so definitely opt for that. The bathroom was also huge and good except the power outlets didn’t work with the hairdryer in the bathroom, it only worked in the main room area.

Overall if you haven’t stayed at other luxury hotels then you’d love it, but if you have then you may be disappointed with some parts. It depends what you’re after,

The new Langham Hotel on the Gold Coast promises a lot, but hasn't been able to deliver,
The problems with rooms not operating or functioning correctly to supposed signature Michelin -starred Cantonese Restaurant that serves food no better than your local Chinese Restaurant by staff who that seems to have not much more culinary experience than your local RSL while looking busy falling over their own feet.
The Hotel needs a lot of work in getting the bugs out of its rooms and like a lot of business are suffering by a lack of professional and competent staff,.
Even though the current Langham staff are courtesies and friendly and do try to be helpful, a general lack of experience has them making unnecessary mistakes that unavoidable and frustrating
while you are trying to have a relaxed and enjoyable stay,

The residences have their own pool as well but I'm not sure whether all residents use it instead of the main pool

There is a heated pool next to the gym and sauna's. It is lovely and very clean. Whilst it was windy during our stay in October we didn't find it a problem... we walked each day along the beach in the morning and late afternoon and it was beautiful. We didn't use the outdoor pool.

Water bottles were given in the room each day and there were water coolers in reception and at the gym if you wanted to refill. But I wouldn’t expect them to swap them out for free more than once a day.
