Disappointed with the booking process. Booked directly with the hotel in Feb 24 and had to pay full amount for the airshow weekend 30 days prior to the stay and was then nonrefundable. For a 2bed room was $6k. A week before the August 24 airshow peppers soul had a sale and had 3 bedroom unit for $5700 with a better cancellation policy, had to escalate to the manager to recieve this deal.
Child safety - window blinds on the north wall had the strings hanging down and not secured to the wall posing a choking risk. Dining table is a glass top table the is heavy and not secured which allows climbing toddlers to nearly top it off
The room service menu is almost non existent which is disappointing for a hotel of this standard and also surprising there is no day spa or affiliated day spas.
There is no pool towels, you have to take your bath room towels.
The dryer did not work and the wifi would not work so the TV was unable to watch Disney or Netflix for the four nights we stayed there with two children.
Elevator doors shut quick once a person has gone through them, they tried numerous times to shut on our pram. Something we and other guest were vigilant with.

The location was great and view from the balcony and the pool was perfect for the airshow which was the reason I booked my family here.
Reception staff were great and Hyde staff were friendly and breakfast menu was delicious.
Room was clean and services daily.
Supplied body wash and other products were good.
Overall a good stay just disappointed with the booking process and the few simple items that you just expect to be there at top hotel

You definitely get what you pay for and generally our family wouldn’t be able to afford to stay at such a up market hotel, however this time I was traveling with the work mate and was fortunate enough to get a good deal. Last minute decision we decided to upgrade where we were staying and stay at Peppers Soul , and we’re so glad we did. Everything from the first phone call was great the gentleman was able to accommodate to us last minute. He was polite and charming, explained all the features of the hotel and the amenities without the feeling of any pressure, just his fun attitude alone sold it for us. When we arrived at Peppers the service was sensational ,such lovely friendly staff/ no job was too hard- just that warm reception, really gave us a good feel about being there. We stayed on the 51st floor in room 5102 and from the moment we open the door, We knew we were in Paradise- Greeted by a complementary bottle of wine and a cheese platter along with breathtaking views of the ocean- couldn’t fault it. Then when I looked at the pools inside and out I thought it was heaven, my kids would absolutely love it given I’m lucky enough to afford to come with them next time. This is definitely a hotel with staying. I’d like to thank all of the peppers soul staff that made experience unforgettable, Especially the cleaning service that attempted to clean our room when we were only there for a short stay, Nice to see they were on top of the cleanliness and hygiene of each room. We have been long time Accor members and have appreciated the numerous benefits of the membership, but more the locations, hotels, facilities, service and staff over those years.
It seems post COVID that the many positive aspects of staying at Accor hotels have became a lot more allusive from the flagship hotels to more modest venues. Service that we had taken for granted from contact prior to arriving to general interaction with staff was ‘hit and miss”, including venues we have visited several times.
Which brings me to Peppers Soul. If there was a checklist that would be given full marks by us. There was prior contact including being responsive to any concerns or questions. We arrived after a lengthy drive relaxed and reassured what to expect from staff and the hotel. From when we arrived for our valet parking till we departed we were impressed. The room was great, well appointed with an ocean view. Having the various household items like washing machine or dryer mean you have margin for error with your clothing.
The facilities are great, the spas, sauna, gym, foyer, restaurant and pools impressive though the ‘heated’ pool wasn’t any warmer then the outdoor infinity pool. Note if you want to catch the sun by the infinity pool in winter, the sun is only on the pool deck in the morning.
Both men on the valet staff were exceptional amongst an impressive. They were brilliant with our ‘first contact’ up until our departure.
Our only disappointment was we wanted to extend our stay but unfortunately they were understandably booked out.

We stayed in a 3 bedroom apartment and it cost us over $6000 for 6 nights. Some would say it’s worth ir because this is supposed to be a 5 star hotel but there was nothing 5 star about it.
Let me start with the first impressions, when you walk into the room at first it looks so nice and luxurious but that feeling lasts just a few hours.
The rooms are not clean, the bathrooms are very outdated and there is dust in every single corner you see. The showers have so much mould build up and it makes you wonder what about this hotel makes it 5 star?
Lucky I didn’t pay for the “buffet” breakfast in advance, as there is barely anything to chose from. Then you can also pick something from a very limited menu (all of which contain ham or bacon). Lucky there are lots of restaurants nearby so we just went to those.
Now let me get started on the “housekeeping”. I have stayed at many 5 star hotels here and overseas and I know what housekeeping is meant to do. But unfortunately at Peppers, they seem to be way behind. The daily housekeeping will ONLY consist of fixing the beds, taking the rubbish and replacing the towels. THATS IT. They don’t clean or vacuum or anything else. Unfortunately for my 7 day stay they did not even change the sheets ONCE. That’s disgusting and so disappointing!
Now onto another problem, while we were staying at Peppers a water pipe burst and leaked all into the lifts. This made all 3 lifts unable to work. This means that all of the people in levels 1-39 had to walk UP the hot stairs to get to our rooms. We were on level 8 which wasn’t as bad but I couldn’t imagine being on a higher level. Now this disrupted our stay so much. You would think any other hotel with reimburse you with something, at least a free breakfast or even something complimentary to say sorry for the trouble. But what did Peppers soul offer? Nothing. Nothing at all.
Like I said, the only good thing about this hotel is the location. It was not worth paying so much money for a less than luxurious hotel.

I booked the presidential suite, which included Foxtel and daily housekeeping. Unfortunately, I found the team at Soul to be quite unprofessional. There were several issues that required me to call for service, including the daily room cleaning. While the staff member made the beds, other cleaning tasks were neglected. My sister, who was downstairs, mentioned, "I’ll see what I can do; there's a vacuum in the cupboard if you need it," which I found extremely rude. We expect a certain level of service when paying premium prices.
Additionally, our phone calls often went unanswered, and there was a delay during check-in despite having a room ready. We were informed that we could switch to another room early since the suite was unoccupied, but there seemed to be conflicting information from different staff members. If hotel employees are going to represent Soul, they should adhere to established policies. Overall, I was very disappointed with my stay.

We rented a 3-bedroom apartment for 10 days and it was fantastic. It ticked all the boxes – spacious, awesome view, close to all the action and good parking. The reason I am giving it 3 stars is the cleaning was virtually non-existent. When my sister first looked at booking the apartment building, there was a cheaper deal if you booked privately but you had no daily house cleaning. We chose to pay more to get this, and it was very disappointing. The letter I was given said they would vacuum every day, wash the floors, bathrooms, and beds made, this was not done. The bed sheets were just pulled up and they didn’t even bother to put the cushions back on the beds. After 4 nights we were supposed to have a full service including clean sheets, this didn’t happen either. After 7 days I went down to Reception and complained. I showed two staff a video clip of how I found our beds when we got back. I thought I would give them a chance to rectify this. They sent someone up immediately to put on clean sheets but no full service. We ended up leaving notes, to ask them to leave hand towels, dishcloth, toilet paper and wipe the tables, they only vacuumed once in 10 days, and the bathrooms were only cleaned once. Two days after my first complaint we were back to having the sheets pulled up and the bed cushions still on the floor, I called and complained again, and the supervisor came immediately, why did this not happen the first time.

Highly recommend this hotel if you are coming to the Gold Coast Air Show; it is located at Show Central, where the aircraft put on their best performances. We stayed in room 1502 for 6 nights (overlapping the 3 day air show) and found the view from the balcony excellent for watching the air show and taking photos. Hotel staff estimated the aircraft flew at altitudes matching Levels 3 to 29 (a lot of low level flying made possible over the water) so you may not need to book the more expensive Skyrise apartments as you would be looking down at the aircraft (but that was our personal opinion). We hadn't stayed here before and were impressed with the apartment fit out and very good condition for what is technically a 10 year old building. The location is spot on excellent, being in the heart of Cavill Avenue and all the cafes and restaurants, all of which seem to offer onsite dining or takeaway. We travelled with hand luggage so being able to do laundry was important (hence the photos showing the interior fit out) and to have takeaway dinners in our room if we wanted to (photos of kitchen fit out, crockery and cutlery to cover 9 people). Each floor has a rubbish room with a bagged rubbish shute to use, and a recycling bin for glass bottles, paper, cardboard etc which was emptied every 24 hours. A perfect hotel for a long self-catering stay, with daily quick housekeeping (a full clean was done every 3 or 4 days) A tip for next air shows: request a room with ocean views so you can watch the air show from your balcony (or from outdoor poolside on Level 3)

Luxury establishment with matching prices but saying that service is what is expected of this place. Well appointed rooms right at centre of it all. Parking included but takes 10 mins to get out as parking is 3 levels down with 2 security gates on way. 3 lifts service about 35 floors each side but at different times of day there is often a 5 minute wait for lift and when it does come often full or near full. Room serviced every day but quality of clean was sporatic. Though we opted against it some days other days there was a full clean ie vacuum, mop floors beds etc but other cleans just changed towels and maybe did bed so this needs attention. We enquired with Reception as to what is expected by Room Service and we found that some cleaners were not doing what was required so Reception said they would send someone up that day to give better clean. Cleaner arrived and first thing she said was "Are you the ones that made a complaint"? Attitude !! Finally Breakfast. Should be Break-farce. $35 a head for a Continental Breakfast. Choice of 1 hot meal then a measly array or cereal, some patries, juice. Massively overpriced considered other Accor hotels locally ie Softiel, Novotel and Mantra had a full all you can eat buffet breakfast for same price. So at The Soul you are paying for the view. Service staff were overworked as we waitied 10 minutes for family in front to be served, attendant took them to their seats served a meal to someone else then came back to us. Even he said he was "multitasking" as they were understaffed.

Absolutely amazing stay 3 nights Level 13 October 28-31 2024 The view was absolutely breathtaking. The room was very spacious and high quality. The beds were so comfortable we stayed in a three bedroom suite where there was ample room for everybody with an amazing outdoor entertaining deck. The room comes with a fully utilised kitchen and a plumbed in fridge which provides ice cold water and ice cubes. The room also comes with a washer and dryer to wash your clothes on a daily basis. The main bedroom also comes with an ensuite that has a double basin, shower and a spa bath. You look out to the main beach of surfers Paradise where you can enjoy the views of the whales breaching just in front of you We will definitely be back there again.

We had booked a stay at Breakfree Peninsula for our family holiday, but the day before our arrival, a lady called and informed us that due to a fire or other issues, we needed to change our hotel. We were then offered an alternative ACCOR property at no additional charge. However, after hearing positive reviews about Peppers Soul, we decided to pay an extra $600 to enjoy our stay there. The lady on the phone initially mentioned the extra cost would be $300 for the stay, but in the email, it was stated as $300 per night (which was also confirmed during our conversation with Peppers Soul). Despite the confusion, we agreed to pay the extra amount, as we were left finalizing our plans last minute, dealing with calls and emails. Upon arriving at Peppers Soul, we provided $600 worth of ACCOR gift cards to cover the remaining payment, along with a credit card for a $300 deposit. However, when we checked our bank statement, we noticed that $600 had been charged to our credit card instead of using the gift cards as intended. This led to more unnecessary calls and visits to the reception to resolve the issue. The manager informed us that there were no notes about the gift cards at check-in, which reflects a clear lack of organization and negligence on the part of the staff. As a result, we endured significant mental distress instead of enjoying our holiday. After spending over half the day trying to sort this out, the manager assured us that the $600 would be refunded within 30 days. My concern is, if you can charge the amount instantly, why is it not possible to process the refund immediately, especially when the error was on your end? Additionally, the service throughout the stay was subpar. The safe in our apartment was not working, and when we called the reception multiple times to request towels for the swimming pool, we were left waiting for over 45 minutes without any response. In the end, we had to go to the reception ourselves to collect the towels. This experience has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing. Even the lifts are too slow and had to wait more than 10 minutes or so every time we wanted to go up or down. Parking is too way confusing as it’s all way down to basement-3 and there are not clear Blue lines painted for the first timers. We should be refunded full amount of our booking as we were not able to enjoy our holidays at all since beginning due to negligence of Pepper Soul staff.
