Detailed Reviews
I'm surprised at some of the reviews - our family's been staying at the resort once a year for about 4 years now. The resident managers are helpful, and go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. The units are tidy and private, and are a 5 minute walk away from a semi-private beach, that's never busy, even during peak seasons.
Family friendly and face it... Amazing value for those on a reasonable family budget.
Thanks Cam and Elaine! Another trip a treat! We look forward to coming back next year.

Stayed here for more than a week during the Christmas holiday and loved every minute of it! Cam and Elaine were very kind. They let us use an extra carpark as we brought 2 cars. We're fortunate to stay at ground level as the building don't have lifts. The unit we got was neat and tidy. We have everything we need there from tea/coffee making, microwave, a vacuum cleaner, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. It is quite a quaint little apartment. It is conveniently located close to the beach, the bus stop is almost right in front, tram station is a few minutes walk. The part of beach close to it is not crowded. We loved how it is situated between Surfers Paradise and Broadbeach. Watching the New Year's Eve fireworks was a treat as we get to see both displays.
We would love to stay here again!

Booked into Surfers Beach Resort II to attend Blues on Broadbeach. Cam the manager showed us to our room, helped with the bags as we were on second floor..This is a great little place, spacious inside our very clean one bedroom apartment, all the basics were supplied..eg. Washing machine powder, dishwasher tabs, free internet for 3 days.
Its a short level walk to Broadbeach Mall..approx 1.5 Kms, and also a bus stop at the door that comes ever 15min for those that dont want the stroll..
Theres lots of accomodation to choose from in this area, but this is a special, small , low level holiday resort, close to the beach and all the amenities , but far enough away for peace and quiet...
We will return...

Booked at very short notice as I was attending a conference and that wasn't confirmed until a couple of days before hand.
I had a phone call the day I was due to arrive saying that reception would be unattended "as it's Mother's Day and we'll be out. Just pick up the phone at reception and it'll call me and I'll give you instructions." I was informed early on on the day after I arrived that the place was being sprayed for pests and was given a rough time as to when this would happen. I can't fault the service.
Lounge/dining area, had a table that sat 4, large couch, chair and a reasonably large tv with foxtel. Double sliding door onto a balcony.
Ceiling fans in lounge and bedroom. Air-conditioner in lounge but no remote to turn it on (I didn't need it, so never asked)
Tiled kitchen area had a large fridge, stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, toaster and kettle. Crockery and cutlery for 4. Didn't note what cooking pots, pans and utensils there were as I ate out each night.
Bedroom was small with a double bed, bedside tables and built-in wardrobe. Sliding door onto a balcony. Room was so small, I couldn't actually shut the door until I re-positioned the bed. I found the bed to be very hard - but then again, I like soft ones.
Small bathroom, you have to shut the door to get to the loo, Large mirror but I think the ladies would say there was not enough lighting. Bathroom had some minor damage that needs touching up - I'm guessing someone knocked the towel rail off at some point.
Hidden in a cupboard inside the apartment entry area is a washing machine, dryer, iron and ironing board.
A few sachets of coffee, sugar and mik are provided, along with a couple of sachets each of detergent for the sink and the washing machine. Personally, I'd have liked one sachet of washing machine powder too.
Getting to my room was a little unusual. The building is split in two down the middle. The front half use the front door, to get to the rear ones you have to walk around the side of the building to the back door. Separate stair cases from the parking.
Each room gets one secure parking space. The carpark is small but I had no real issues with the large car I was driving. There are a few undercover, unsecured parking spots for visitors (though there seemed to be plenty of spaces on the street)
The beach is less than 5 minutes walk away. Nearest takeaways and bottle shops (that I found) were less than 10. There's a small supermarket just down the street - *not* cheap.
Yes, this place is cheap but the quality exceeded what I expected with what I paid.

We initially only had one week booked with Cam and Elaine at Surfer’s Beach Resort 2 but ended up spending the majority of our trip there! The resort itself is beautiful and the rooms that we stayed in were very, very well laid out and had everything we needed for our stay. We felt very much at home from the first day we arrived and were very sad when we finally had to head home. The location of the resort is absolutely perfect, roughly a minutes walk from the coastline which stretches all the way down the gold coast. The walks here along the coast are breathtaking and it seems that no matter which direction you head in, there is plenty to do. About 15 minutes away in one direction walking is Surfers Paradise, which is a tourist hotspot. Lots of things to do here, food, shopping, markets and lots of events going on. Keep walking and you’ll end up in Main Beach, which has some amazing sights. About 10 minutes in the opposite direction is Oasis shopping centre, which was where we did most of our grocery shopping at the Woolworths there. A little further and you end up at Pacific Fair shopping centre which is massive and has over 300 stores I believe, as well as restaurants and cinemas. Anyone looking to fit a lot of things into a short space of time or even stretched over a longer period will find lots and lots to do here. Overall, surfers beach resort 2 was the best place we stayed in the Gold Coast, very clean, very comfortable and Cam and Elaine were perfect hosts, going above and beyond to help us with any of our requests.

My wife and I stayed here during our weekend stay on the coast. A little older but very well appointed and clean hotel with a comfortable bed. We were personally shown to the apartment by the manager who also assisted with parking, a welcome service long forgotten in large hotels. The staff were very friendly and assisted with directions and how the trams operated which we appreciated. The check out was easy and again the manager very helpful. Would recommend.

I stayed there and paid for the cleaning fee - after few days got a review from the host saying I had to clean the apartment. Also accused me of stealing the Foxtel remote because she couldn't find it. Don't stay there if you don't want any trouble

As we advised previously on your reviews we did not leave you a review saying you had to clean the apartment as you had already departed. You paid for a cleaning fee (included in the cost of your stay) which is no way covered the cost our cleaners took to clean your apartment which they reported to us. We have reported you on the site that you booked through as funnily enough it still shows as overseas phone number when you clearly live in Australia. We were only lucky enough to obtain your correct number when you checked in which you blamed your partner for not updating your contact number. After the apartment was thoroughly cleaned we called you to ask if you could check through your multiple bags and see if you could find the foxtel remote which by the way is still missing and we had to purchase a new one.

Tried this place for the first time in July 2019. Small but well appointed 1 br unit, very clean and friendly on-site managers. Good location, 20 mins walk to Surfers and Broadbeach.
Only down side is that there are permanent residents who are smokers and the smell continually entered our unit, stairwell and balcony. Unfortunately that would stop up staying there again. Not sure what other side of block was like but we were in Unit 10.

Hi Brad Thank you so much for your fabulous review. We love where we live also. Apologies about the smokers, unfortunately until smoking is banned it is out of our control. We do enforce the rules about no smoking in common areas but cannot stop smokers on their balconies. The smokers you are referring to were actually holiday guests below you not permanent. Complex's all over would face the same problem unfortunately it is a universal issue. Regards Cam and Elaine
