We called the hotel 3 times on the drive from Brisbane and nobody answered after 10-15 minute holds each time. Our room keys were not programmed so we had to go back to reception to have it done. We ordered cocktails in the spa and my girlfriend's drink was only half full. When we went to order our second cocktails the site said they were on a service break. You cannot cast from your phone to the TV, so only free to air was available (just ads and junk). We had breakfast included but they wouldn't accept our room number we had to go to our room and find the voucher. All of these little things contribute to a stay that is far less than desirable for how much we paid. The room however was very nice.

The apartment was spacious, very clean, and had a wonderful view with a large balcony. There were all conveniences- full kitchen, laundry in room with detergent etc. The pool was beautiful as was the jacuzzi. There was a great little gym I used daily, and a lovely outdoor bbq area undercover on the 1st floor next to the pool, with Comfy large outdoor day beds. A nice cafe to grab coffee on site, and it's a very central location, convenience shop right across the road and loads of different restaurants at your foot step. Can't fault our stay at all thankyou

The location of this hotel is good, walking distance to the beach and tram. The pool is currently closed for maintenence and so therefore access if given to the pools at the Q1 which was very good. There are a lot of upgrades going on at the hotel at the moment.
A letter is supplied on arrival specifying that the Wyndham hotel offers discounted prices for Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. To book through the hotel was $10 more expensive per person than booking at the sanctuary itself. So don’t do it. (The lady at reception wanted to charge us $49.95 per adult when at the Sanctuary it was $39.95 for midweek tickets. I actually let her know about this and she said it was for ease of the customers of the hotel….)
The kitchen needs some maintenence. The dishwasher buttons are all broken off. Try sliding out the racks of the dishwasher and they will come crashing out. The fridge has no light and the plastic basket is all smashed up. The rangehood completely doesn’t work whatsoever. The supplied crockery and utensils in the kitchen are great and useful.
The bed is the most uncomfortable I have slept in, in my life. Our backs are aching. It is like a hammock with springs. The beds need upgrading, as other people we spoke to had the same problem.
All in all we had a great stay due to the location and we enjoyed using the balcony.

Room Tip:Â The Italian restaurant downstairs is fantastic, as is the sushi train across the road.

Dear TessyDiva, Thank you so much for taking the time to review Wyndham Surfers Paradise and for sharing your experience with others, we appreciate it. In regards to our renovations, I am happy to let you know our pool is back open and it is looking amazing! we work closely with the Q1 and therefore we were able offer our guests an alternative option in regards to facilities - Q1s pool is beautiful as well. Thank you for pointing out your experience in regards to the discounted tickets, I will follow up with my team to ensure we are quoting the correct prices to our guests as we normally do offer cheaper prices for multiple attractions around the Gold Coast. I appreciate your feedback about the apartment condition including the kitchen and beds, I am unable to see your name through this review, could you please send me an email to maria.salazar@wyn.com with your details so I can identify the apartment your stayed in and address the issues. We look foward to welcome you back in the near future. Kind Regards, Maria Salazar General Manager

We are quite disappointed with the facility this time.
While Anita from Guest Services gave us good advice during booking the holiday for us and also put in a request for a corner apartment, we were given a corner apartment (405) On arrival, The staff ran and gave us a key card to enter the car park, which is much appreciated. check in was very smooth. The apartment was a corner one on Level 4 which is appreciated and it was quiet in the evenings and nights. The air-conditioning was good. All the utensils and whiteware were good.
But,The negatives are, the stains on the dining chairs and a couple of screens and curtains; The cleaning staff seem to spend a lot of time cleaning the surfaces but some stains will not go away easily; We were 3 adults and the sofa-cum-bed was not well adjustible and it was slanting on one side which we reported to Reception many times but nothing good came out of it. We got sore back with that but had to put up with it. I recommend replacing it, if it cannot be fixed. We are spending so much towards the apartment and sleeping over a bad bed with the springs hurting our backs is not a matter of amusement. We are in our 60s and we felt Wyndham is not the right choice for us anymore. Marriot, Hilton, Sofitel and Novotel are far better in quality of the facilities in the apartment. We changed our original plan and Anita helped us to book in Surfers Paradise . But the cleaning fee charged for Kirra Beach was not returned to us even after 5 weeks and was only returned to our account after we called the Finance dept ( which had a waiting time of 45 mins on the phone). Hence, we have given a 7 for our overall experience.

Rooms needs better air quality. Felt stuffy. Housekeeping should be available every other day instead of waiting 8 days. Need to be eco friendly. Dryer was broken. Outside the building was pretty dirty.

The Wyndham is a great choice for anyone looking for a spacious stay with all the comforts from home, in a great location. I stayed in 2 different rooms over my 2 day stay and the views from each side of the building were spectacular. I would particularly recommend this location for anyone travelling in a group or with children. I stayed in a 5 star hotel after stay at Wyndham and was disappointed by the loss of amenities and inclusions - I will definitely stay at the Wyndham next time for the entirety of my stay.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Wyndham Surfers, loved the overall vibe of the hotel and found the staff to be very helpful and warm. We found the location to be perfect for our groups needs, we were within 5-7 mins walk of the main centre of surfers however we were out of the chaos! 2 Mins walk from the beach was perfect for us. We stayed in a 3 bedroom ocean view apartment and highly recommend the accommodation option- the only downside was the sofa bed! It was very rough to the point where the couple that were supposed to sleep on it just slept on the actual sofa without pulling the bed out.
The pool and spa were fabulous!
We would return without hesitation to this hotel.

Totally disgusting, you can not sit on the balcony due to the dozens of cockroaches running around. Mould and dirty balcony floor. Room smelt terrible and wet. As a Wyndam owner who pay levies we felt pushed aside because they had already sold to us. Paying guests who had not purchased shares in Wyndam were given priority. Highly recommended DO NOT waste your money buying shares, once they lock you in, you will struggle to be able to book anywhere especially Fiji!

Location is very good with Tram nearly out the front. Ocean view and Balcony good. But apartments never look like the photos on booking sites, Firstly the entrance from the drop off drive is a small lift to Level 1, and the two front escalators have been blocked off and are due to reopen soon.

Dear Chris, Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback about your recent stay with us. We appreciate your comments in regards to the location, views, friendly staff members and facilities. I am happy to know that my team did everything they could to assist with you concerns, we love connecting with our guests. Please note we take feedback very seriously and I understand your comments in regards to the apartments. The apartments are individually owned and we are currently working with the owners to update the furniture and fittings including a TV in the bedroom and nice modern furniture. In regards to the escalators, we are very excited as the works will be completed in the next 2 weeks ( there has been multiple delays due to international courier parts). Once again thank you very much for your feedback, my email is maria.salazar@wyn.com, please email me directly if you are coming back to the Gold Coast as I would love for your to give a second chance. Kind regards, Maria Salazar General Manager

The Staff & Service here is Exceptional & Accomodating. All the staff were warm & welcoming. The Location is Perfect & tram stop right out the front. The Facilities are great & our room was so large & spotlessly clean. The Breakfast was included & delicious with the best coffee I’ve ever had on the Gold Coast. Will definitely be promoting this place & would stay again. Only problem was ….we wanted to stay longer!!!!!

Yes bath towels provided in unit & pool towels upon request at reception. Underground parking is available via card access. So on arrival you need to park outside in driveway and book in and then they will give you the Card that will allow you access to carpark down steep driveway on left of reception.
Dear Az F,
Thank you for your message! Our undercover carpark has a height restriction of two (2) metres. Please feel free to give us a call if your car is higher, and we can direct you to some suitable alternative carparks in the nearby area?
Warmest Regards,
