We arrived late afternoon and as I checked in I realised that I had made a mess of the dates and wasn't expected until the following day. The girls behind the reception were genuinely concerned and did their best to help me out. I had trouble getting through to the booking agent and eventually the girls got through for me...

My family and I came here for dinner recently and the food was terrible, I ordered a medium rare steak and it was so over cooked, it was tough and inedible. The jus was burnt and tasted horrible. The fish was dry and hard to eat. Everyone of our group was completely underwhelmed and ripped off from our experience there...

we were really excited to arrive early and enjoy the beautiful surroundings and features the resort had to offer. Upon arriving at the Opal Cove resort we were really disappointed, the hotel looked tired and run down, the room was a mile away from the reception and when we walked it the smell was awful. The room looked nothing like...

My wife and I booked into the Opal Cove resort on the 2nd February 2017. I should have realised this was not a four start hotel when we approached reception and the staff member asked "What can I do for you mate" and then continued to call me mate through the whole process. I would hate to call myself a...

Rooms very outdated although was clean. Carpet in outer areas patched up & very dated. Place needs new flooring & a paint job. Room service charge of $5 is a bit much & food very ordinary. Waiter was very polite & service was prompt. Staff at counter were quite friendly although not very helpful for directing you to your room....

Upon entering the building, the first thing that struck me was the smell of chlorine from the internal water feature. We were allocated the room furthest from reception, however that didn't bother us. The room was clean and tidy and professionally serviced. The bathroom could definitely do with an update... cracked tiles, and a sink that looked like it was...

Hotel has poor airconditioning. The airconditioning in the room works ok but you need to leave it on constantly to get any benefit. The hallways and lifts have no airconditioning and were extremely hot. The restaurant and reception areas were also hot. The hotel had some great facilities but in need of a facelift.

Hotel is a little dated but clean and well equipped. Fantastic pool area and great activities if your travelling with kids. The staff were friendly and helpful. Only negative was kinda half hearted Christmas decorations with a droopy unlit tree and rather sad looking santa! Fantastic for a visit on the other eleven months though.

Having stayed at the Opal Cove when it was new, I have found that the place is a little tired. The staff are great but the premises is showing signs of wear.If you can swing it, get the rooms on level two. The rooms on level one facing the Pacific Hwy are a little musty. I'm sure it has something...

This resort is quite comfortable, but is a bit tired & in need of some love & attention. The rooms are a nice size and the views of the ocean are special. The breakfast was adequate without being great. There was nothing that stuck out to make my stay unpleasant, it was just that it needs a makeover.
