I stayed at the Diamond Beach Resort with my partner and 2 sons, now while the stay with the resort generally was good, there was a few things i was very unsatisfied with, the room we stayed in was on the top floor so to say the room was very muggy with very poor air ventilation would be stating the obvious, there was a split system air conditioner in the main lounge room but it didn't really help the air flow in the bedrooms so sleeping was hard, i also noticed that the room was a little bit tired, things were getting old and need to be updated, the shower fan didn't work so it felt like you were in a sauna after a couple of minutes, we couldn't understand why we never got any fresh towels or any kind of room service what so ever during a 6 night stay, we called reception and they told us that they only replenish those things after a 9 night stay which i found to be a bit odd considering that our 6 night stay cost us nearly $2000, the thing that annoyed me the most was that there wasn't free wifi which is a standard thing at most hotels/ motels/ resorts that we stayed at on our holiday, i called reception to ask if there was any free wifi and they told me that they have wifi packages that come at an extra cost so i looked into it, i can't see how they could even think of charging what they were asking for, for 3 nights of wifi limited to 3gb a day they wanted $60, you can almost get an unlimited monthly plan for that much, 1 month of limited to 3gb a day wifi was $250, i nearly fainted when i read that in the welcoming magazine, we stayed in little motels in Grafton and Port Macquarie before and after we stayed at this resort and they supplied free wifi so i don't get how a place charging so much for accommodation can't just throw in free wifi, it honestly baffles me, we will be heading up to the Gold Coast again in the near future but we definitely won't be staying here again, i do not recommend this place for the money you pay for it
