Really enjoyed our stay and would recommend. The vacation club is floors 15-21 of a large resort hotel. We had a king one bedroom studio which was lovely. Spotlessly clean. Sofa bed and king bed in bedroom. Beautiful large bathroom with tub with a view and separate shower. Kitchen facilities included toaster, kettle, microwave/ grill coffee jug, dishwasher, fridge freezer. Crockery and cutlery for four. Only lacked a nice big salad bowl and perhaps a larger jug to microwave rice/ pasta in. There are 2 shallow ish pools and a good gym. We are not poolside lounger people but if you are there seemed plenty of loungers and there was easy access and return of beach/ pool towels. The main ocean beach is about 10-15 min walk with lifeguard swimming areas and white sandy beach (quite windy while we were there). There is also a nice lagoon beach Budds beach a short walk through the door at the back of the property with safe swimming and water sports access. There are 2 restaurants and one bar/ restaurant. Wd ate at Citrique for the seafood buffet. As others have mentioned- worth doing but make sure you are hungry! Otherwise we ate salads in our room. There was a nice dining table with 4 chairs. 2 small balconies also. Our room overlooked the pools/ lagoon and highway with a bit of an ocean view too (1701). It’s spotlessly clean and all the staff lovely. We are from the UK but if lucky enough to return to Oz in the future we’d go back definitely. Thank you.

We were surprised to find that the MVCI accommodation was part of the JW Marriott Hotel … quite a bonus from our perspective. We had a two bedroom unit on 17th floor that was very spacious and had amazing views.
We stayed here for a week with our son and his partner and it was of the highest MVCI standard. Unlike most properties, daily visits from housekeeping were provided. The apartment was very comfortable and well equipped.
Plenty of places on site to eat … our favourite was Citrique … and plenty of places in Surfers Paradise itself. The Lobby Bar was our regular haunt for incidental drinks and light meals. We didn’t have much time to use the pools as we found a huge amount to do around the Gold Coast area … however, the pools were great and we managed a few dips … and visits to the Pool Bar!
Service was of the usual excellent standard and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Holly on front desk was very helpful. There was plenty of onsite parking but, of course, it was pricey as usual!?!

We have stayed 5 nights in Nov 2024, in a studio room, looking over the pool/lagoon on level 15. The room has been recently renovated and the bathroom has been updated to the same standard of the JW Marriott rooms of this hotel.
The furniture has not been updated as of yet, but was advised that they should be updated/upgraded in early 2025 at this stage, which will take the room up to the same standard/plush level as the JW hotel rooms.
Was really handy having the kitchenette in the room with a proper fridge, dishwasher, cups & plates, etc and convection microwave. (The 1 and 2 bedrooms have washer and dryer). Room had good air con, the bed was not most comfortable bed, but I am sure when they swap in the new furniture, this will improve. You are able to chromecast to the TV, which is always great.
The pool, well it's regularly ranked as one of the best hotel pools in Australia. It's that good.

Got to the hotel at 6.30 pm room not ready, waited for room then got given a key went to room & unmade bed, TV on & glasses etc around room. Went back were given another room key, had a shower as desperately wanted to go for dinner & the run down bathroom had a long black curly hair on the shower wall. My partner called & said we weren’t happy asked for a clean room but could we even pay more for a better not run down room. The request was ignored & given a key for a same type of room with a run down terrible bathroom. We were given a bottle of red wine(don’t drink wine) & breakfast but really just wanted to be in a room that you would expect from a 5 * hotel. We didn’t realise that booking the vacation club would be a 3* or less type of room, still paid nearly $1200 for 2 nights. Going to spend the day by the pool as it is lovely. We have stayed before years ago but we won’t be back very very disappointed.

What a magnificent resort. As soon as you walk in you are greeted by friendly staff and an absolutely stunning foyer. You instantly feel like you’re on holidays! We used two of our timeshare weeks to book two studio rooms for one week so that our 15 year old twins could have their own room. This was a great decision as the four of us in a studio for a week would have been a tight squeeze, definitely doable with smaller children though. The rooms were very spacious for two. Great amenities with the kitchenette having a full size fridge, microwave, dishwasher, kettle and toaster. There was also a laundry on our floor which I loved because there is nothing better than going home with all of your holiday washing washed! The resort grounds are spectacular. The saltwater lagoon is beautiful and the hot tubs were perfect for June. There is also a normal pool with a slide. The view from our balcony was beautiful overlooking the resort pools and out to the river and ocean. Multiple restaurants onsite mean you really don’t have to leave the resort if you don’t want to. We have stayed in timeshares in Fiji, Bali, Thailand and America and this one is definitely the best we have used this far. We will definitely return at some point and recommend to our friends to book to stay here. I can not fault it at all.

This is a lovely hotel with first-class accommodations. We were traveling with another couple and we shared a common room between our two bedrooms. The efficient kitchenette had everything we needed: full-sized refrigerator, microwave, French press coffee maker, tea kettle and mini-dishwasher! The staff were very accommodating, bringing us a bowl to make a salad and when we asked for a vegetable peeler for carrots, they brought us a bowl of grated carrots! Everyone was extremely friendly and made the visit very pleasant.

The hotel is very nice, located in a calm area and about 100 m from the beach. The photos correspond to what we found, good bed, good sofa for the third adult. The room may be a little small for more than 2 people, there is no space for a table where you can work or eat. There is a small kitchenette which is handy for a quick meal or a basic breakfast. The pool is nice and the service very pleasant. The parking lot is convenient and comfortable. There are no convenience stores very close, but walking about 20 minutes you will find solutions.

Lovely location and had onsite parking. The room was great but could do with a update. When we arrived they had forgotten we had a third child with us so we had to call reception to get a roll out bed and extra towels etc. We also had to ask multiple times to get extra laundry sachets, dishwasher sachets, sugar as they didn’t seem to check things were used and needed replacing. It was great that it had a washer and dryer as with a family we did a couple of loads while there.

The is an older property with charm and still well maintained and managed. The Lagoon pool is my favourite and the restaurant food is good. I have stayed in a few rooms here for short stays the beds are comfortable I wouldn’t do a long stay here as the location isn’t great if you are walking. If you have a care with you it’s great and peaceful at night not as loud as the main part of surfers.

This is the second time this year that we have stayed in one of their superb studio apartments.
We had views towards their fantastic lagoon and pools and towards Main Beach.
No kitchen but there is a microwave, full fridge and plunger coffee for those like me who love their coffee fix.
Bathroom is spacious with a separate bath and shower.
A small balcony is a great spot to look at the views from high above.
We also enjoy the excellent seafood buffet downstairs at Citrique and a drink in their bar Chapter and Verse.
Location is a 10-15 minute stroll into central Surfers or the tram is close by for those with mobility issues.
In the opposite direction and only 5 minutes by tram is Southport Central.
Im sure it wont be long and we will return again to see the friendly smiling faces of their staff.
And a special thanks to the manager Ravinder for allowing a late check out on our last day due to a late outgoing flight.

No bbq's. Not that kind of place. None nearby that I am aware of. Beach is about 5 minutes walk but none their either. New lobby bar has some nice snack food and hotel next door (Sovereign) used to do a good steak at around half the price of Marriott offerings.
Hi Tommo,
As far as I'm aware and understand, the Marriott Vacation Club rooms ( which are in the hotel ) offer all the amenities such as washing machine/dryer, convection oven and full size fridge..rooms in the hotel do not offer these and are standard rooms mini fridge, kettle etc
I could be wrong but that's the impression I have....
I hope this helps....you could always ring direct and I'm sure they could answer your questions in alot more detail than I can....
It truly is a magnificent resort and I'm sure you will love it there:-)
