1970s version of a time capsule. Very outdated, very unclean, bathrooms need attending, carpets need cleaning, kitchens needs draws and refurbishing, very dissappointing as online pictures do not reflect the state of this hotel. Also very noisy. Location o.k.

This hostel is attached to a hotel, so it doesn't look like a backpacker place at all. You are entitled to use the hotel facilities like swimming pool and jacuzi. The rooms have a little fridge which is handy. Suits well for people who travel solo. The room seemed reasonably clean, but I woke up with dozen of bedbugs bites the...

We booked a double as it was not much more than a dorm, I think the gave us a room from the hotel part rather than the backpacker part. Huge bathroom, a/c, big tv and sofa. We were pretty pleased. Other rooms I heard from people we met were cramped and really hot with only a floor fan. In terms...

My boyfriend and I stayed here for our first week in Australia. The room was great (we were on the ground floor) lovely that it had an ensuite, fridge, tv and fan - no air conditioning though. We were not too keen on our first room - one of the inhabitants had chained a bike to the bunk I would...

We really liked the 'hotel feel' of this hostel, especially the en suite bathroom, TV and balcony! As well as the use of the pool, spa and tennis courts! The location is perfect for anyone wanting to stay in surfers paradise, walking distance to everywhere we wanted to go, including the main bus stop to the parks! There were only...

No Air Conditioning, No Ceiling Fans, No ventaliation, very noisy due to intersection, old windows above door do not open, feral smell from carpet, obvious urine and vomit marks on carpets in hallways. Very poor accommodation for visiting international tourists. Suggestion - Install air-con, look at replacing 1960's windows/doors with double glazed sliding to reduce noise from intersection. Purchase an...

I left the Islander Backpackers Resort today telling myself that i'll never back to there. I left a bag with a brand new t shirt inside of a bedroom (which had only 2 friends of mine) and the shirt just disappeared. I don't know if it was the cleaning staff (who maybe just throwed it away) or someone else..anyway, I...

More like a hotel than a hostel which is nice but also annoying as no hostel feel to meet people etc. Location is the best thing about this place - so convenient to everything the beach, bus stop to themeparks, shops and restaurants etc. Clean, spacious and bonus to have an ensuite

Dear Kateram, OUCH!, that one hurts. Glad to hear you enjoyed our cleanliness and amazing location, but disappointed you were BORED. Unfortunately we were not exceptionally busy while you were with us but hope that next time you might visit our restaurant and bar on ground floor and common kitchen area to meet some more travellers. We appreciate your feedback...
