Thank god we only needed 1 night, the bathroom was mouldy, toilet roll holder hanging off the wall, tv remote not working, thick dust on the window shutters, hard beds, and very noisy from being backed onto main road, after asking reception somewhere nice to go for dinner, he recommended the Great Western which had closed down for some time. Expected to drink water from the bathroom. Spend the extra $$$ after all you don’t always get what you pay for.

pros: - good comfy soft bed - dark room - big bathroom - big wardrobe - easy check in and out cons: - Terrible parking - tight, small, not enough, first in first served - not allocated a park per unit. people taking advantage of the parks with more than one car per room and visitors. had to do a 4 point turn just to get out. once you leave your spot it's more than likely you won't get it when you return. - very loud on the weekends - lots of noise, yelling, people working on their cars outside my room. - old aircon- either freezing or hot - the rooms have a fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle but NO cutlery or crockery but ONE cup....no spoons, knives forks, bowls or plates. - terrible lighting in bathroom

I booked a one bedroom apartment for 4 nights, expecting to be able to cook some basic meals while here. The room was so dirty. The bathroom had a leftover razor in it from the previous occupant. The floor had bugs and the shower head kept falling down. The main light blew up on my second night so I was left to shower with just a small light. The kitchen was also grimey and I was too scared to use any of the equipment. I ended up sleeping on the couch for the 4 nights as the air conditioner in the bedroom only blew hot air and being rockhampton in the middle of summer, it was too hot to sleep without. The tv remote barely worked, the batteries kept falling out the back as there was no cover on it. The room only got serviced on the 3rd night and they didn’t restock the tea and coffee, which I had minimal to begin with. Overall it was one of the most horrible hotel experiences I’ve ever had. I would never stay here again and I wouldn’t recommend staying here to anyone. 1 star is too high of a rating. Very unhappy customer.

Rooms are not clean. We stayed in a deluxe apartment. The cupboards had crumbs and oil in them. The handles had build up of grime, shower floor had not been cleaned and nor had any benches or hard floor. I will never stay here again.

We had a twin room - 1Q 1S, room no22. Our room was on the highway side, and the motel is at a set of traffic lights. All night, trucks slowing down and starting up again. I naively expected that a hotel built on the highway would incorporate acoustic measures to counteract this, but nothing. The window facing this road doesn't close properly, so the noise is incessant and inhibitive to decent sleep. Aircon was great, and the beds comfortable enough. When I booked I requested extra pillows - there wasn't any extras on the bed, but found 2 in the cupboard, along with a blanket that wasn't needed. Internet was weak and intermittent, and unreliable. TV was good. Free to air. Bathroom door did not shut properly. Shampoo etc basic, no face-washer, and no spare TP. Water was hot, towels and sheets were clean. Basic tea and coffee amenities. Microwave was included, and fridge was cold. Check in was friendly enough. We had checked in online, so our key was ready once payment was made. The cost of the room when booking meant I didn't expect more than what we got. We got basic accommodation, hot shower, comfortable bed and that is what we needed. If I had to stay again, I will request a room on the other side of the property.
