We stayed in two adjoining rooms as a family, which was great for sleeping. Recently renovated bathroom with nice, hot powerful shower and great WiFi. There was a microwave, fridge and kettle but no amenities to cook anything - or even a toaster. The room had lovely clean linen but hadn’t been cleaned properly as there was rubbish on the floor and the bins were dirty. Breakfast was apparently available Monday to Friday from 7-9, but we turned up to a locked unavailable area and were told we should have advised reception the prior day. We stayed 5 nights with no towel change or rubbish emptied. The air con was great but obviously needed some TLC as it spewed water out. The freezer section in the fridge could barely be accessed as it was so frozen over. Location was right on the river, so close to many amenities - but also the main road - and a bit noisy. The grounds were kept quite nicely apart from a bucket of cigarette butts and mosquito larvae in the underneath car park! Hey - we had a great stay but would be unlikely to stay again or recommend it.

So parking in under the building with rubbish laying on the ground.. our room was on the first floor.. the is no lift so draging luggage up flights of stairs is a joy.. rooms are clean but next time will look for a motel with better access.

Dirty room. Room smells. Felt uncomfortable. Did not feel safe. Rude Selfish Loud noisy guests slamming doors, playing music, talking load in the hallways from 2am until 5am in the morning. Could not sleep. People Sitting outside in the car park underneath our window talking. Will Never ever stay here again or recommend it to anyone.

Staff friendly and willing to make your stay the best it can be.
Clean room and bathroom not knocked about.
Pool area well maintained.
Amply undercover car parking.
This motel is close to the walking path along the Fitzroy River. You can wonder along the path to some nice old pubs. There is a good playground fur the children.

The reception lady was lovely, on short notice we got a room and we were allowed to pay later in the day before we checked in. She was very nice to both my woman and myself and great to talk to on the phone and in person. Talking with her at checkout was lovely too.

after requesting towels in my room (which I would have accepted as an honest mistake) my daughter then found a half eat bar of chocolate in the room. I contacted management to clarify if my room infact was clean, and was met with the "professional" response of

Don’t Stay Here!!!
I’ve travelled for over 40 years and this experience was the worst I’ve ever experienced
We arrive at 4.20 and reception was closed despite signage stating “open until 5.30”
After 3 attempts on emergency contact number we were informed staff was “off site and would be 40 mins” so waited over half an hour for staff to return (we had No cancellation booking)
Staff member was dismissive, rude and not at all apologetic - so much so that they didn’t even acknowledge us when they drove up to entrance and let themselves into side entrance (we waited another 5mins) and after unlocking front door did not invite us in - we tested front door to find it was now unlocked - we then went to reception and we’re again not acknowledged
Pool was also closed with no explanation

Reception was closed no lift expected to carry luggage up numerous stairs via a back staircase and my room was on level 2

I stayed here on business for two nights, and was glad to leave. The website is quite misleading about the facilities there, and no security to speak of. On the second night my sleep was disturbed by a drunk man banging on doors looking for someone. When I told him to go away, he threatened to come back and string me up if I called the police. He eventually left at the urging of his friend. I would not recommend this place for any type of stay for any duration.

Our hotel is exactly as presented on all websites. If one of the other guests misbehaved in a drunken fashion you could have contacted the on site manager and they would have rectified this.

Excellent value for money - rate included breakfast and when we stayed it included continental and a cooked breakfast of bacon and eggs (as long as you cooked it on the frypan supplied) to be enjoyed in the relatively small breakfast room; bedroom was very nicely appointed with a most comfortable king bed and the spotless bathroom looked refurbished with a great shower head/water pressure. Located adjacent to Bruce Highway but traffic noise did not impact us. Husband and wife team were fantastic to deal with - friendly and helpful. Highly recommended as a great value stay!
