Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Clean and tidy basic rooms but on a very busy main road. Fortunately we were tired, otherwise could have been a bit of a nightmare. Basic tea, coffee and toiletries but suited our purpose. Is also pet friendly although we didn’t have our dog with us.

I feel bad for writing a poor review but this hotel i thought would of been much better for what i paid!. When we checked in the staff behind reception couldnt speak alot of english so was hard to understand them, One of them didnt even have a clue how to use the eftpos terminal and i had to put through my own sale!

The room was small and very cramped. The exhaust fan in the bathroom was broken and made a horrible screaming noise when it was on, biggest prob was the fan and lights were all hooked in together so when you turn light on fan went automaticly on , because of the noise had to use the bathroom in the dark which wasnt very safe! Ordered room service for dinner and even though there wasnt many people staying there it took over and hour to get our meal. It was nice once it arrived but by then i wasnt hungry anymore and couldnt enjoy it.

The phone didnt work so if we wanted to contact reception had to go to the reception as we couldnt call them. The parking was terrible, if there had been a full house there would be noway you could fit everyones cars in there. The only good thing about the place was the bed was comftable and you had free wireless internet (although it was very slow!). I have to say save you money for somewhere else.

This is a budget Motel , so budget means cheap only $80 a night which for me was the priority for my stay. I was surprised at how good it was for the price. The young gentleman Manager was extremely respectful and accommodating in helping me get a quieter room for the night. He was always on hand to answer my enquiries, and offer advice about the area.
Dee , was a welcome breath of fresh air on reception when I walked in , in what can be sometimes a mirky world in budget accommodation options.
Now yes sure , the bathrooms need a revamp, the car spaces are tight , but the air conditioning worked beautifully, the room was quiet enough and clean , the bed was clean , the curtains closed and for 80 bucks a night I have had much worse, there was even a very clean swimming pool out the back . I felt safe as a single female.
It makes a huge difference to a place when the person who greets you actually cares about you.
Thank you Dee

This motel was absolute terrible. Paid for a Queen Room, it was tiny and very dark. The room was right on the main road so very noisy, ceiling fan did not work so the room was very hot. The room also had a nasty odour & I had to kill 4 large cockroaches that were crawling over kitchenette bench. Staff unprofessional. I would not recommend this motel to anyone, stay well clear.

I booked this room with the minimal expectation. The pictures show cute little motel in Rockhampton with basic rooms that look nice for just one night stay. On arrival it didn't take long to question my decision on book this accommodation. At glance the pool area was overgrown with weeds and the swimming pool was bright green. The reception had funky smell like there was cats. The room key had stick note attached to the key with the room number written on it. When we entered the room it had strong cigarette smell, as I glanced up the white ceiling looked black over the beds. This is as far as I got. We walked out dropped the key in reception and left.

I will say the beds were professionally made and the room looked clean. I did not go into the bathroom.

The room itself is ok for the price and the manager very helpful. But it was so dirty. There were stains on the bedspreads, a layer of black dust on all surfaces and the table still had milk stains. I had to buy dettol wipes and go over everything

Found this motel when searching for pet friendly accomodation in Rockhampton.

The motel had just changed hands, so we met the new owners and manager as they were settling in.

This place is a comfortable and relaxed little boutique place. Felt like stepping into a friend's house, the staff here are SO friendly and helpful.

Couldnt be more happy to find a home away from.... Totally recommended!

This place is nothing like the photos!
My bed was collapsing in the middle and room had dog smell and not very clean.
Door to room was half smashed in, floor Lino coming up and a trip hazard for my disabled client
Pool area was a hazard and over grown with weeds and trip hazard’s with concrete broken and very low broken shade sail. Broken old pool furniture. Inside room was marks everywhere from dog’s scratching and chewing.
Avoid it

Price gouging at its finest. $260 for the dodgiest room in Rocky. Would have liked to hand my filthy room key back to reception but my alternative was sleeping in the car as all accommodation was fully booked in Rocky due to Beef Week. TV not working, no soap, shampoo etc in dispensers, air con held together with duct tape, snot on the shower wall, left over food still in fridge, toilet roll holder on the wank, ceiling in toilet held together with plaster/glue. I can go on, but I am recovering from the flu and have taken 2 night time tablets to knock me out and when I wake up in the morning this nightmare will be over, so long as the cockriaches do not devour my body during the night.
