Noisy box style air con will keep you awake. If that doesn't the traffic noise will as it's next to the highway & the windows are not soundproof. Shower is made for dwarves & the carpet is filthy. Lighting is akin to a garden shed variety as well as the super glued bedside lamps & the loose door knobs to add to the unappealing quirky character of the room. Smoking on the premises outside rooms appears to be normal & the awful stench wafts into the room from the aircon. Parking is a mess & apparent WiFi wouldn't connect. The 'bait" of free breakfast just doesn't make up for the rest of the property failings. There are better options.

We stayed over the Christmas period. It was clean but old and you can tell that some items are well past their used by date carpets etc. Aesthetics aside the staff were friendly and helpful and cleaning was offered daily. We did find someone's choclate milk in our fridge after our day out which was a little odd. The car park as it was so full is a very tight fit for large vehicles but it could just have just been the fact that it was Christmas, the pool was good but needing cleaning. The beds were terrible - might be alright for 1 night but 4 nights in we were struggling with sore backs. While its great that its a pet friendly motel we did not bring our pets and did not appreciate the barking dog next door ... all night... the walls are very thin. One night it was a dog the next a large family with lots of children that yelled and ran up and down the verandah until all hours. All in all its a good place for an overnighter or passing through but no longer than a night or 2.

I have stayed at lot of motels in the past and must say that it has been the best. Sure it is a little bit old but it is clean with breakfast included. The staff very friendly. Sure it is on the main highway but if you are tired then you do not hear it. The managers are very friendly and nothing is too difficult. Highly reccomended.

Stayed overnight en-route Brisbane to Townsville. For $78, had a very comfortable room (slightly dated, but very clean and with a renovated bathroom) and a very comfortable bed and pillows! Microwave in the room as well! To top it off, breakfast was included....toast, cereal, juice and even small tubs of tinned fruit! Place was packed with travellers and hotel parking was over-flowing so they must be doing something right! Breakfast room was large but could probably do with a couple more tables as, with a full house, people were waiting for a place to sit!

The place was very noisy, you could actually hear the neighbours talk and fart. Also, the place was dirty, lamp-posts, bathroom all had layers of dust and the little cabinets next to the beds were carpet surfaced, which makes one wonder what actually moves and crawls there. We understood that the owners of the place use changing managers that are just passers-by who make some money to move along. That really shows. We are doing a road trip along the East coast and have stayed in many places, but this one was by far the worst place we've stayed. There are alternatives enough, go somewhere else!
