I drive alot for for my job. When staying overnight or longer in Rocky my place of choice is Rocky Resort Motor Inn. Your hosts Toni and Tim make you feel like you choosing to stay there is appreciated. They serve fantastic room service breakfasts and their restaurnt serves great steaks and other meals. The rooms are spacious and have a long desk, great for business work. There is a microwave and fridge with selections at a charge. If you travel for business or are looking for a clean, large room at a reasonable price, definitely consider talking to Rocky Resort Motor Inn.

Our daughter helped us & booked a room for two homeward bound weary travelers. Daughter recommended Rocky Resort as she, hubby and children have stayed there previously & our daughter has worked in property management and holiday accommodation on the Sunshine Coast so when she said " Mum, this is a a really nice, clean & comfortable place to stay and you even get brekky room service if wanted" I said "okies" "SOLD" Lol :) We were welcomed by a lovely helpful lady at reception where we picked up our room key. we saw they had a restaurant, so we decided to dine in the lovely restaurant next to reception and boy O boy the meals we ordered were absolutely yummylicious and we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner ! Room is roomy, with ensuite, very comfortable bed and crisp clean sheets. One can also if desired order breakfast from the menu left in motel room and our egg& bacon brekky / real coffee next morning was a relaxing way to have brekky 1st thing in morning ...which took our minds back to when all motels ( back in the 6o's70's &80's) pretty much offered a brekky menu and delivered to ones room as that was all part of the experience of staying in a hotel/motel/resort Lol Managers and staff are friendly, helpful, down to earth and made us feel at home, so thankyou T & T for helping our onight stay be one we will remember ! We both canwell and truly recommend Rocky Resort Motor Inn ~ Rockhampton Qld

Our stay was good but only for 1 night. The room was comfortable and clean but it would have been nice if there were meals on a Sunday night but no chef on. We had Room service breakfast which was delivered on time and very nice. I would like to see hotels with minibars have reasonable prices this would make those drinks and snacks affordable.

I searched rocky motels for buffet breakfasts. There was only 3. I rang one and they said they were no longer doing it due to corona. Then i rang this one and was told its all still available. Happily booked over the phone on her insistence. Then when we got here we found out its an additional $40 per night for only a couple different things taken to room. Not buffet at all. When we went to clarify this at the desk was told abruptly that our conversation would not have happened despite the only reason we rang was to enquire about the breaky. Then told her prices could not include breaky. We asked for a refund and were refused due to non 24 hour notice. Ended up staying 1 block away at zed motel who does do buffet breakfast for about $40 cheaper a night then what we were paying at rocky motor inn.

All the plates we had to rewash before use, the glasses we didn’t touch at all after inspecting them they need to go through a dishwasher, I went around with some dettol wipes after noticing the walls in the room with the single beds had muck on them. I had to wipe down the beside tables, dining table and ended up doing all the light switches, door handles, all chairs and remotes as it was just not done. The bedroom draws have empty sugar packets in them also.
The bathroom shower has scum at the bottom, the roof of the bathroom around the corners has black mould right around it including the roof. Only 1 of the 3 lights in the kitchen/lounge and sink work, more food under the cushions in the couch, old doughnuts behind the couch (we have cleaned), the spare blankets and pillows stored on the floor of the cupboards and no sheets supplied for the fold out bed. I couldn’t even find a toaster of any kind in kitchenette to make the kids toast for breakfast.
Not worth your $175 to stay in these types of accommodation during Covid times.
Have requested a full refund. 2 emails later and no written response in almost a week.

We were booked into a Spa Room thinking they would be on the ground floor. When we arrived the spa room on the ground floor was occupied and there was only one available on the 2nd floor. The managers said they could put us in a ground floor room with a king bed instead of a queen bed. The room ended up being a lot smaller. It turned out to be the disability room. My Aunty would not have been able to fit her motorised scooter through into the bathroom without moving furniture if she had of been with us.
This morning the shower flooded out after both my partner and I had a shower each. They definitely need a better (bigger) shower curtain since it doesn’t have glass. The light bulb in the bathroom took some time to turn on and the one behind the bed closest to the window was blown all together.
There was no microwave either & you would, I think, expect that in a 4 - 4 1/2 star motel. To us it was a big disappointment and we would not stay there again.

Called up on our way to Rockhampton from Toowoomba to book a room for the night. Service was friendly and efficient which continued when we arrived. Room clean, quiet and comfortable. The hot shower and great water pressure was a pleasant surprise as this is often lacking in motel accommodation. Would stay again when overnighting in Rocky.

Our king spa suite was very clean & comfortable. The room had heaps of room and the bed was amazing. The management were accommodating and friendly. Had a lovely swim in the pool. Would definitely stay here again but wouldn’t dine there, we found the food and mini bar prices astronomical. The restaurant is aimed at business class/fine dining and we felt it would be more successful if it was more home style & affordable meals on offer.

The accommodation is very well presented: comfortable beds, good linen, very clean, good amenities. It has all that you would expect at the price point. In addition there is a good quality restaurant if you don't want to drive out looking for a meal after a long drive. The breakfast option is good value and arrived at the requested time. Parking is quite good with no designated places but plenty available on the night we stayed. Access is easy from the highway and noise from passing trucks was not intrusive. Check in and out was smooth. A recommended option for a Rockhampton stay.

Very easy to book direct with the owner. Check in simple and as we were leaving early was given the option to pay after evening meal when we used the restaurant. Double bedroom room was very comfortable. The evening meal was great. The fillet and rump were cooked to perfection. Most definitely a great place to stay but also try the restaurant you will be pleased. The whole package was great value.
