When I opened the door my jaw dropped - it was huge, bright and had beautiful furnishings. Everything we wanted was in the apartment. We had a upstairs corner apartment. Our bedroom looked out to the beach and the loungeroom/balcony area had both beach and resort pool views. The beds were extremely comfortable and all furniture throughout the apartment was...

Noisy rooms. With main bedroom in front. No double glazing, in fact windows have vents which lets in sound of the pool area. Can hear all pool noise from 8 am all day until 6pm onwards. Don't go for nap during day.... When we asked reception for a simple item, such as double adapter, it was too difficult for the...

The main beach, Four Mile Beach, is amazing. It has a cover of hard sand and therefore allows you to ride bikes across it. The water unfortunately is not clear blue but murky. There are lots of little hideaway beaches to visit along the coastline but you will need to hire a car.

Stayed for a week in a 2 bedroom pool view apartment with my wife and 17 YO daughter - to try a stay at what we consider to be the best location in PD, directly on the esplanade across from the patrolled section of the sublime four mile beach - which is in my view reflected in the pricing of...

We recently stayed at Beaches Port Douglas with our family and found it to be a spacious and clean apartment, bed is a little hard. Great location as it is close to the beach and town. At night it was great to listen to the sound of the waves but unfortunately most nights we could also hear loud music, singing and...

Extended our break for a few days in Beaches. It was touted as being a very luxurious 2 bedroom apartment. It wasn't - with holes in the ceiling and walls for plumbing. TVs that didn't work or provide the Fox channels promised. Fuses that tripped, denying power toe everything. No noise after 10 pm, but no problem about letting young...

The beaches are so different from where I come from. The beautiful coconut palms shade the beach in the hot afternoon sun. The surf club had lovely lounges for anyone to use and the beach is patrolled by life guards. You have an awesome view of the mountains which touch the coastline. Sand is firm and you can ride a...

very nice apartment with plenty of room, some 50m from the lovely beach, walking distance to downtown. perfect and friendly service (rec.desk incl. travel agency just at the entrance). Around the corner a nice bistro. Excellent breakfast - lovely people and quick service. It's a lovely place to be but only if you don't need a full service hotel.

We recently spent one week at Beaches Port Douglas. The property is superbly located being opposite the beach, next to the Surf life saving club, with its excellent food, and close to McCrossin St. Our apartment was clean and spacious and came with its own kitchen, free wifi and two tv's.The property has a pool and spa. A couple of drawback,s...

Spacious, clean quiet apartment overlooking the pool. Aircon and fans worked great to keep you comfortable in hot weather. Just a minute from the beach. The kitchen had everything you require to cook meals and the starter pack of washing up liquid, dishwasher powder, washing machine detergent etc was great.
