A great stay - great place - great location. The pool is very hot (almost like a bath), so not refreshing when the weather has been 36deg for 3+ days. I feel for the premium price paid for this property, bedrooms should be larger and wardrobe space bigger - suitcase and hanging space is way too cramped.

Great location, great pool, friendly staff. Delicious food and cocktails. We had the best room with a private pontoon with day beds for the pool! We had the best stay! And only across the road from the beach!

We stayed here for 4 nights The hotel had serious staffing problems to the extent that we felt sorry for the workers -1 manned the front desk, Carried bags, served drinks and serviced TV problems. Our issue is the threat by the Accor hotel to take $450 from us for 1 missing key on departure and this was not pointed out previously by any staff. We have stayed all over the world and like many many others have inadvertently lost/misplaced a key. NEVER has there been a problem or a charge for this small mistake. We believe this outrageous behaviour by any hotel/resort.

This was my second stay at Peppers Port Douglas and it exceeded my expectations once again. We travelled in a large group of 14, which can make check-in time a bit challenging for everyone involved. However, Leanne was professional and accommodating, and checked all of us in with ease within 15 minutes. It was a smooth start to our holiday. In relation to the property itself, the hotel is in a great location and just a short stroll to Macrossan Street and Four Mile Beach. It also has a secure car park underground for parking (free of charge) and a restaurant on-site. Our group stayed in a variety of different rooms – I stayed in a deluxe spa suite which had direct access to the beautiful pool area which is centered around a sand beach. The room was refurbished, but members of our group stayed in the older ones which looked just as nice also. All rooms are modern, clean and comfortable with decent sized mini fridges and nice amenities. Staff at the hotel were pleasant and welcoming – Stephanie at reception was super friendly and accommodating, and couldn’t do enough for us to ensure that we had a comfortable stay! This hotel is up there with the Sheraton but in a better location. If you're trying to decide between the two, I would definitely go with Peppers due to the location and recently refurbished rooms. Fingers crossed I can return a third time this Christmas!

Check in staff were great and the rooms were a great size with lots of amenities. The pool was a highlight and the proximity to town was also really a plus. Where the hotel lets itself down is the food and its menu, I was very excited when I saw the menu although I felt there could be more on it but it just does not deliver unfortunately. I would also love to see a wider range of wines.
