Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

the 2 bedroom was fabulous with excellent daylight and room lighting. our view of the golf course was beautiful . the rooms are spacious, clean and the beds comfortable. the kitchen is well equipped. the grounds are wonderful and pretty and the pools gorgeous. the most impressive thing about the resort is its staff. they were very friendly and helpful and went out of their way for us. We developed Covid on our last day there (despite being so careful- ate in all the time etc wore masks) and even though there were no rooms remaining for us to stay in they extended the departure time without charge until we found suitableaccomodation a few hours later to isolate in. They did the correct thing and kept our room vacant for 48 hours before they went in to clean. This would have

A group of 12 golfers travel to Port Douglas and stayed at the Paradise Links Resort as we have done so for previous years. The standard of accommodation is perfect for our needs and the express check-in and an extremely helpful front desk made our stay most enjoyable. We will be back again next year.

This hotel is not a hotel. It is a series of apartments on some land surrounded by dark roads. Restaurants wouldn't deliver food this far except for one which we only found out about later and there are no shops in easy distance. We ended up walking through the dark to get to the nearby friendly and beautiful Sea Temple for dinner. To top it off our apartment was grossly dirty with blood on the sheets, old food and sand through the couch, unclean cutlery and the whole apartment felt grimy. We had to leave. We wish we had have read reviews before we booked as the bad ones are quite accurate.

Dear Yellow H. Please accept our apologies that the resort location and presentation was not to your expectations. We are a self-catering resort and as such do not have an onsite bar or restaurant. We try to provide all the relevant information for our guests in the rooms and are always happy to offer further recommendations and assistance wherever possible. With regards to the room, my most sincere apologies. With regards to the sheets, we have had a number of issues with our linen supplier providing unaccepatable rust stained linen to the point where we have recently changed suppliers. Thank you once again for your feedback. Kind regards Liz

we stayed in a room overlooking the pool. the room was small but well equipped. we were on the first floor and there were no lifts. they have fly screens on the doors which is a bonus as I like to leave the door open at night. there were people in the next room and we could hear every word . there was also a party in the middle of the pool area and they were very noisy as well ,but did dissipate at 11 which was ok just worning you that it can be noisy around the pool. not a lot of parking we went out and when we got back found it very difficult to find a space. nice starched sheets.Mor

Very disappointing, never had to deal with soap scum, ring around bath and dirty crockery etc. before! Not a good location, a long walk to beach and every where else! Very noisy fan in bedroom, unusable. no Wifi either.

Dear Liz and team at the Paradise Links Resort, Our sincerest thanks to yourself and the team for what was the most rewarding relaxing and memorable time we had in Port Douglas this August 2020. We were stoked when we arrived at our accommodation at the Paradise Links Resort where we really thought we had stumbled onto a little piece of heaven. Never being to Port Douglas before for a holiday we soon realized what we had been missing out on. Our apartment was lovely and well equipped it felt very private even though we had neighbours. The care that the team has put into the grounds and the aesthetic appeal really added to the whole feeling of being in paradise. The staff were very friendly and always ready for a chat or to provide service when needed. Having such lovely

We arrived to find that they had upgraded us to a larger apartment, however due to an electrical problem we were once again upgraded to a 2 bedroom villa. well it was heaven. luxury beyond compare.the first apartment was beautiful but the villa well I thought I was in seventh heaven. the pool was spotless and so relaxing as were the gardens. staff were very obliging in every aspect of our holiday. would highly recommend it to anyone.

Lovely location and quiet well presented rooms in a tropical setting. Pools are awesome and amenities bbq and lounges poolside were a bonus. Staff friendly and very obliging, they heard it was my wifes birthday and placed a bottle of bubbly in our room and a lovely card. We will definitely stay there again and shout our kids a night there too Safe car parking and lovely grounds

We had originally booked a 2 bed apartment on a 4 night for 3 offer, but were kindly upgraded to a 3 bed villa with rainforest views - wow thank you! The villa was huge - double garage, outdoor seating area, large balcony for 2 of the bedrooms. Huge kitchen/dining room and living room. Our bedroom came with the ensuite which had a jacuzzi bath and large walk-in shower. The other guests enjoyed the normal bathroom. Whilst we didn't use the front bedroom, it did not have aircon which could make it rather uncomfortable during the peak heat season. We enjoyed the pool just near our villa, and whilst there's another pool and tennis courts, we did not get a chance to go and try them out. Overall, really enjoyed our stay here and would happily return/recommend to others.

Dear JanWard85 Thank you for your review. We are absolutely thrilled that you enjoyed your stay and you are very welcome for the upgrade. I am a little confused though, as all the bedrooms in all of our apartments and villas have air conditioning. But I am glad everything worked out. We look forward to welcoming you here again soon. Kind regards Liz
