We are within walking distance to the famous 4 Mile Beach and the Port Douglas Village Centre with a broad offering of excellent restaurants, bars, boutique shops, markets and the Marina. We also offer free undercover on-site parking. We have complimentary WiFi and an extensive range of free DVD’s for your enjoyment. We offer lovely 1 and 2 bedroom self-contained apartments with separate bedrooms, open plan dining and lounge area, small but full kitchens, private bathrooms with laundry and a private patio or balcony. Our apartments are comfortable, air-conditioned and have all of the facilities required for an enjoyable holiday in Port Douglas. The Lychee Tree is the perfect accommodation for a holiday or base to explore the surrounding natural wonders of the Great Barrier Reef, Mossman Gorge and the Daintree National Park or while touring Australia. There are also many fantastic active experiences and attractions in the area to enjoy. There is a tour desk on site and we are happy to provide unbiased, tried and tested advice.

A fantastic base of operations for our family holiday to North Queensland. We had multiple parties with children and across three affordable apartments we had plenty of space and amenities to have meals at home when we wished, use the pool every day, and wake up knowing we didn’t have to rush around because we had a kitchen, lounge and dining area all to ourselves whenever we needed. The location is perfect as it is walking distance to the Main Street of Port Douglas, including supermarket, restaurants, the marina and of course the beach. It’s also a short drive to the highway to access other parts of North Queensland such as Mossman Gorge and the drive up to Cape Tribulation. One member of our party had accessibility issues which was no problem considering our apartments were on the ground floor, as was the pool and parking areas for the cars. In short, it was very clean, friendly, accessible, and easy!

Lychee Tree offered everything we needed, and more, to enjoy our holiday in Port Douglas.
The apartments were well designed, spotlessly clean, spacious and very comfortable. The beds were possibly the best we’ve slept in, in holiday accommodation. We loved the option of being able to cook in the well appointed kitchen or bbq around the pool.
Our days always ended with a swim in the pool, that felt like a little oasis.
Lychee Tree is approx a 10 minute walk to the Main Street of Port Douglas & only approx 8 minutes to the beach, so the location is ideal.
Edward and Leo are warm & engaging hosts, always willing to accomodate & a wealth of information about the local area.

Great hosts and clean apartments providing everything we needed. Included in the service was a DVD library to borrow from as well as friendly advice about local attractions. The apartments stand individually, with off street parking between each unit, which meant we didn't hear any noise from neighbours. The apartments are on the main street, with beach access directly across the road. In addition the short walk to the shops is a pleasant tree lined footpath or alternatively beach access leads straight to the main shopping centre. For less active guests a shuttle bus runs regularly with a bus stop directly out the front. We stayed as a family in a 2 bedroom apartment but there is an option for 1 bedroom accommodation for more intimate holiday plans. The in-ground pool is fully fenced with change rooms, pool accessories and deck chairs. We loved it so much we are going back this year (as soon as COVID-19 restrictions ease).

This place was very underwhelming. It looked like the rooms had been old cement block cabins that they tried to upgrade. The photos gave a false impression of size and layout. Very tiny. From the front glass doors you can see all the way into the bedroom which because it doesn't have an air-conditioner you have to keep the door open. The hosts provided good info on the area. Although we were unable to get any refund we chose to go to another place at the same price point that was fabulous rather than stay with this low level of amenity. In the pictures you can see that the curtain doesn't cover the front door. 2x2 seaters squeezed into a living space and a weird kitchen with a cement wall behind fridge.

Thank you for your stay with us even though you chose to leave early. What a pity you need to place this review at least twice on this site to make your point - which is also very misleading. The recently taken photos by a professional photographer, clearly show the layout and furniture of the apartment. Your apartment had recently been completely repainted, has new carpet, new kitchen, new queen bed, etc. Yes, the walls are painted besser bricks as are many buildings here in the tropics from this period. There is also a roller blind over the whole of the front door which you missed. The new comfortable lounge is large enough for 4 people. The new full kitchen has all the amenities required for a holiday. All m2 of the apartments are listed on the various booking sites. Unfortunately you expected something else from the 3 star Lychee Tree Holiday Apartments.

The Two owners where absolutely amazing very friendly a d helpfully regarding checking and where to go to eat site seeing etc. We arrived late at night due to our flight been postponed but check-in is was done very professional leaving our apartment unlocked for us. The apartment itself was very clean and new renovated. Every room had a nice little touch and it felt very warm and welcoming just like home.! Must stay there and we will be back in the near future

Edward and Leo are very friendly and welcoming, they went out of their way to fix any problems not matter how small the issue. A very comfortable and relaxing environment with clean and tidy apartments and well maintained BBQ and pool area, they able to give discount vouchers for all attractions. Would definitely visit again

Edward and Leo were extremely helpful, they have a lot of information regarding tours available and where to go. Lychee tree is walking distance to Macrossan St and also the Marina area, both places the central hub for shopping and eating. My 2 bedroom apartment was very comfortable, enjoyed a good nights sleep in the 7 nights I stayed there. Highly recommended, would book there again if I manage to come up to Queensland again.

We stayed three nights in the most basic room and it was perfect for our family of four. Lots of space for everyone, good working air con and very clean and tidy. Kids games and puzzles were a lovely touch. Highlight was definitely the pool. Beautiful temperature including a shallow end that was great for our 3 and 4 year olds. The complimentary use of kids pool toys meant hours of fun for our family. A good location, a little out from the town centre but a one minute drive to the marina and a two minute drive to the Main Street. We would definitely stay again. Great value for money.

our unit was spotlessly clean, very comfortable and peacefully quiet. We enjoyed the outside dining patio among the tropical gardens. Very pleasant hosts. The covered parking for our car was an added bonus as we were able to leave it while we were out for the day.

Pleasantly surprised with this 2 bedroom self contained apartment. Small but clean & comfortable. New king size bed which was better than our bed at home!! All mod cons including dishwasher & Nespresso machine. Great pool for the kids with a shallow end for our youngest & BBQ area. So saved quite a bit being able to cook there and in the apartment. Friendly and helpful Manager Edward who gave us some handy tips which helped us really enjoy the local area. Lychee Tree is also well situated, a 5 minute walk from Four Mile beach and only ten minutes into town.

A day trip out to the Great Barrier Reef is at the top of the list. As for pricing, many different options are available, so it really depends on what your choices are. Second is the Daintree Rain-forest, you can do this very cheaply & easily with a Car Hire, or you can pop on a fully guided day tour which picks you up from your apartment. Again it really depends on your budget,. We also offer a gardening program here at the Lychee Tree, free of charge & you may receive a drink of water if you're lucky : 0 )
But seriously, there really is so much to see & do.
There are more places to choose from in the Port Douglas area.
