We spent 5 nights at the Meridian in a one bedroom apartment and loved every minute of it. The room was huge with a lovely balcony overlooking the pool and my favourite time to swim was just before it closed at 9pm. Wonderful place and will be back.

This was our second stay here and it doesn’t disappoint. It’s peaceful, relaxing and the apartments are modern, minimalist and the decor is lovely. The staff are all lovely and helpful.The pool is just the right size with sun beds and a barbecue area. Close to all the local shops and bars but not on top of them so as to be disturbed by the noise.

Brilliant motel, very well situated for the shops, bars and cafes in Port Douglas. Our room was spotlessly clean with a comfy bed and spacious shower room. Well equipped with kettle, toaster, microwave and tea/coffee/milk provided on arrival. The laundry facilities are excellent and we were able to do our washing quite easily. We had a room with a swim deck and a large balcony. It was lovely to sit and eat breakfast listening to the birdsong. Amanda is such a lovely lady. She was really friendly and on hand to assist us with pick up times for our trips and transfer coach. Would highly recommend the Meridian.

Great location, close to the beach and shopping/ restaurant area, good facilities and friendly hosts. Ideal for catching up on the laundry as share facilities with one other room. Pool nice to relax in after a busy day of excursions. Arrived late in the dark, found key fine in safe out of hours however when you are lugging around lots of luggage direction to room and floor would have been helpful, fortunately another guest helped out.

We stayed 4 nights at The Meridian Port Douglas. The room was on the small side but the bathroom was spacious with a good shower and the bed was comfortable. We had a ground floor room with a patio but as it was on the main road side of the building it was rather noisy when we sat outside. The kitchenette was well equipped with microwave, kettle, toaster, coffee machine. There was a fridge with a jug of water and milk. There was a washer/drier outside our room which we shared with the next door room. Soap powder could be purchased at reception. Reception staff were friendly and helpful and they told me if we required top ups of shower gel, shampoo tea/coffee etc we just had to ask. The location was excellent just a few minutes walk to restaurants and facilities of Port Douglas. There is a secure car park in the basement.…

We arrived here on September the 10th 2023 for a five night stay. We were welcomed by the friendly team. Our room is lovely. There is AC, bathroom with a shower in the bath. There is also a safe for any small belongings ( my iPad fits in so maybe not so small). There is a kitchenette with a microwave, fridge, sink, kettle, toaster and coffee machine. There was a jug of water in the fridge as well as ice in the ice cube tray. The room is bright and clean. The swimming pool is private and there is a barbecue area for guest use.. There is a washing machine and tumble dryer we share with the room next to us and this is included in the price. I would highly recommend this resort.

Family run, there is a real nice feel to this place with a very helpful couple at reception. Rooms are well equipped and maintained. The pool is very nice, with the added convenience of a self-service gas BBQ if you want to cook for your self. Without question I would return.

We had a lovely 4 night stay in Port Douglas recently. The hosts were very helpful via email ahead of our stay, helping us to get booked on a reef tour and informing us of what to do to access our room as we were arriving outside of reception hours. The room itself was well equipped with fridge, microwave, kettle, espresso machine etc as well as a clothes airer, ironing board etc. We had a nice balcony overlooking the pool from the 3rd floor. The pool area is also great with a bbq for guest use which we took advantage of. The location is also good being just a short walk from bars, restaurants, shops and 4 mile beach. I have rated this a 4 star as opposed to a 5 due to a couple of small things but I should note that none of these things would be enough to deter me from returning. - The mattress on the bed was softer than would normally be our preference. - The room was not freshened up during our stay. The cleaning schedule was highlighted in the information provided so this wasn’t a surprise but I do prefer to at least have the bed turned down/a quick sweep whilst I’m staying away. - A sign at the bbq cleaning station states that there is plastic crockery etc available for guest use but this was not there during our stay. We headed up north to escape cold miserable Melbourne Winter. We booked ourselves into the Meridian at Port Douglas. The managers John and Sue were lovely, they gave us a warm welcome, they were very friendly and made us feel very comfortable. Our apartment was great, very clean and practical. The pool was nice and the people that were staying there were very friendly. There were no kids under 16 which was great as it was school holidays, a busy period and our stay was very quiet and peaceful. Great place, beautiful warm weather and the managers were amazing Highly recommended
