We arrived in the early evening. We were shown to our room. Our travel agent had sent a couple of special requests on our behalf. Our requests had not been addressed. When we asked that an additional sheet be placed on the bed, we were subjected to a series of questions, sort of a cross examination, and were made to...

After visiting friends in Adelaide this was our chill out time before heading to Sydney. The hotel is in a perfect location right across from the beach and within easy walking distance to restaurants and shops. Breakfast, taken poolside, is delicious with a great variety of freshly prepared food. We also had several evening meals in the restaurant which were...

As I have mentioned in previous posts this town runs on trip advisor. it is a win /win for all of us. The people at every venue , restaurant and activity could not be nicer. With that said this location was fantastic for us. After spending 2 weeks in Sydney on business , we were ready for a bit of...

Only a few moments walk from the heart of Port Douglas, but in a quiet location opposite the beach you find The Peninsula. You get a mini apartment called a suite that includes a kitchenette, dining area, outside space (or balcony) sitting area with TV/DVD and a separate bedroom. Plus a large bathroom with walk-in shower. The hotel has a...

My husband and I recently stayed at this beautiful little hotel situated in what I would say the best location in Port Douglas. It is modern, spotlessly clean, and the staff are all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is excellent. The rooms are quiet and very comfortably furnished. The rooms have a well fitted out kitchenette and coffee machine. We...

My review is over a year late but it still stands! I actually travelled in April 2013 My friend and I were booked in to stay at the hotel for 1 night before our trip to the Daintree rainforest in a tour and to stay in a cabin in the forest the next night so this was just a stopover....

This hotel is delightful, walking distance to the downtown restaurants and shops, and across a quiet street from four mile beach, which was very visible through the trees from our balcony. There is a lovely outdoor pool area where a full, delicious breakfast buffet is available every morning. We booked our sightseeing trips right at the hotel, and the staff...

Admittedly, we splurged on this stay, the most expensive of all our choices in Australia (a month long visit from the US), but it was worth every penny. We loved our suite on the second floor on the ocean side - private, breezy - just great! The staff was so helpful - we booked our Daintree and Outer Reef tours...
