Port Douglas Sea Temple has a wonderful reputation and we can see why. What a perfect place for a long weekend. We have had the most attentive service from every staff member, our penthouse 2 bedroom apartment was beautifully furnished and detailed to perfection, breakfast by the sparkling pool was delicious. We have no hesitation in recommending this stunning accommodation.

We stayed here for 3 nights on a girls' mini vacation. Upon arrival (as mum is an accor member) we were offered a welcoming drink (champaigne/mocktail). The receptionist didn't ask for my ID & assumed I just wanted a mocktail, it was still very nice. As our room wasn't ready we were able to lay by the pool until it was ready. The room was nice, but small. The TV was quite small & should have been on a TV bracket. We also didn't like that there was no microwave or toaster in the room (which we thought was a little strange, especially becuase there was no stovetop), which made it hard to reheat leftovers or cook in general. The huge spa bath was great, but there was no bubblebath which was a little disappointing. Even though the room service menu was nice, we felt it was limited & expensive. The pool however, was huge & wonderful. The pool menu was much more extensive & didn't seem as expensive. The cocktails were great. We only ate in the restaurant once for breakfast. It was very nice. We had wanted to eat there for dinner, but again we thought it was very expensive. Overall we had a lovely time.

The resort is excellent. We stayed in a 2 bed apartment with rooftop spa. The rooftop area is great for bbqs. Some people stayed in a swim out apartment which allows you to get in the pool directly from your apartment. The apartments are spacious and modern.

Overall, a great stay in Port Douglas with plenty to see and do. The resort is a short drive or an hour + beach walk to the centre having great shops, restaurants, cafes, bars…the Sunday market is fun! For a beach walk, it’s your backyard and you feel you are in paradise but your feet may get wet around high tide near the entry so ditch the shoes. Loved being around the pool bar but lounges sometimes hard to get. There are more available in another location but you need to exit pool area to get there. The resort is more family orientated, and could do with an adults only pool section. Waiters need to be floating around taking orders. The grounds are well kept but glass pool fence should be cleaned more often. Rooms are spacious and cleaned daily. Great brekkie buffet selection. Staff are friendly with a shout out to Cassiopee and Aurora who looked after us at brekkie with a friendly smile and chat.

Overall would love to come back. We stayed in apartment 139 with the Boutique Collection. We arrived at 6pm to some lighting and the aircon left on for our arrival and a beautiful scent of a reed diffuser. Well equipped kitchen including a BBQ on the patio. Well equiped with laundry powder, and dishwasher tablets, Bosch appliances. They did exceptionally better than the 5 star Meriton on the Gold Coast in regards to a well equipped kitchen and the amount of laundry powder and dish washing tablets etc. Beds were comfy and pillows were comfy too. We opted for no servicing during our 7 night stay. We didn’t need it. We gave our towels a wash mid stay and put our rubbish out ourselves. Bins were only a short walk. I recommend not eating at the Pullman. Our poolside food was horrible. But the cocktails were great even better in happy hour. Note: we booked through Affordable Holidays with an exceptional deal - the kind that go on sale for a few days at a time. Worth keeping an eye on when the Boutique Collection deals are offered. Very happy with our apartment 139 - two bed swim out with the Boutique Collection. Cons - Pool side food was tasteless and hot chips were like cardboard. There was a few rooms booked for a wedding. They were a little noisy with music etc but the apartments block out a lot of the noise when closed up.

We chose the resort as we booked a two bed apartment via booking.com and staying at the Boutique Hotels apartment within the Pullman Hotel complex. The apartment and all facilities were amazing and the staff at the Pullman were first rate and helpful with any requirement. Sadly it was mid winter and the pool was freezing and at times far to cold to swim in. We enjoyed having a poolside apartment but in winter, it may be more beneficial to book something with a rooftop jacuzzi and away from the noise. As a family with a car, this is the perfect spot as close to the golf courses, main highway to Cairns and the tourist attractions. The only downside is you need to drive or get a local minibus into Port Douglas and the restaurants and bars. I would highly recommend this resort and these apartments to any couple and families looking for a short or long stay in the Port Douglas area.

A beautiful resort with an amazing lagoon pool and fantastic staff. The food on site is also nice. Only downside is the distance from the hotel to the center of Port Douglas, however the beachfront location compensates for this. The in room jaccuzis are great

Do not stay here. This is not a luxury experience and co exists with Airbnb apartments. The guests of Airbnb apartments seem to drink and party. The guests of the hotel are mostly families with kids. If you want a luxurious and romantic experience which is relaxing DO NOT STAY HERE. Cons. Rooms are dirty and they don’t clean the sheets or linen. We had a stain on the bed for 3 days. The floors are stained. The furniture and paint is chipped and worn. The lighting in the room is terrible, ultra bright lights that make it seem like you’re in a convenience store at 3am. Not relaxing. Not luxurious. The pool was crowded, noisey and dirty. The location is bad. The food is average at best. We had a private pool entry suite and had other guests using our pool entry area as a transit area between units full of drunk swearing people. Pros. None. Do not stay here. Stay anywhere else. Extra. Complained to staff and got a credit for dirty linen. But said there was little they could do about the guests “trespassing” on our balcony as they were Airbnb guests and not hotel residents. SO BAD. This place is falsely advertising itself as luxurious.

This resort would have been amazing in 2000…. It’s just tired and grotty now which is such a shame. It definitely doesn’t feel like a 5 star establishment. We booked a swim-out 2 bedroom apartment (#128) through the Boutique Collection who manage the property off-site. Our dealing with them was adequate however their cleaning crew need more training or more time to clean. The entire apartment felt tired and like it needed a good scrub. The bed linen was nice, but the towels were basic. We prefer a firm mattress so were very pleased with the king bed. There was nothing luxurious about the bathrooms, bedrooms, kitchen or decor - they appeared 3 star at best. It’s definitely time for a refurb in this one. The direct pool access was awesome, and something we looked forward to having twin six year olds. However, the water in the main pool was so cold (we were there in August) that our kids preferred the toddler pool (which was slightly warmer) on the other side of the property, which defeated the purpose of having a swim-out. Why do they not heat their main feature in the cooler months? The resort was packed yet the pool was empty & anyone actually wanting to swim was crammed into a tiny 2m x 2m spa with kids jumping in and out - such a waste of an amazing pool/lagoon layout. The restaurant was fully booked our entire stay so we can’t comment on that. We self catered a few nights and the kitchen is very, very basic. It would be nice for someone to sharpen the kitchen knives once in a while! The pool bar was not bad for lunch, we quite enjoyed our meals although spending $170 for 2 kids meals, 2 adult meals and a few drinks and given wooden cutlery felt pretty basic. The architecture, layout, gardens and pools were beautiful, and that’s what sold us on the property. But we definitely felt short changed with our apartment and it’s lacklustre decor and maintenance. We were close to the restaurant and so had to endure their music all day if sitting outside. Oh boy, who is choosing the tunes? Surely they could spend a little extra and subscribe to a music mix that doesn’t sound like elevator music. It was really quite laughable in the end - how can management think that music suits the venue?! We wouldn’t choose to stay here again unless they updated the rooms and heated the pool in winter. Such a shame, I’m sure it was lovely 20 years ago.
