Detailed Reviews
We stayed in a 3 bedroom villa with beach access & it was heaven. Staying with our two children (age 8 and 11) it was the perfect size for us all to have our own space for our one week stay. The private plunge pool was a great size which our kids practically lived in, and there was plenty of outdoor furniture outside to be comfortable while supervising them. Air conditioning was nice a quiet and worked well. Kitchen was massive and had most things you would need for basic cooking. Washing machine, dryer and dishwasher were all fairly new and made the trip with kids easy. Nice and close to the main pool and the bar was great for smoothies for the kids and cocktails for us ;)

We stayed with family at the Sea Temple in the 2 bedroom penthouse apartments and they were fabulous. The quality of the interior was very good and modern and the beds were so comfortable. There was everything you would need including a washing machine and dryer not that we needed to use them much. There was a jacuzzi on the roof and seating and BBQ which we used many times. There were quite a few mosquitoes in the evenings so we did have to cook outside then eat inside as we were getting bitten quite a lot.
The pool was the largest I’ve ever seen in a complex with a type of lazy river which was nice. The temperature was perfect too and warm which was great as we did get rain on several days and it meant we could still go for a swim. There was a pool bar but it didn’t seem to have regular opening times and this could have been due to the weather but sometimes it was dry and it was closed. Plenty of sun beds by the pool and towels available too.
We hired a car so we were able to get out and about and a drive into town took about 10 mins. There was a good sized Coles for groceries and several pubs/restaurants there.
We did read other reviews before we arrived and realised that not all the apartments were managed by Pullman so the quality may have varied. We checked ours was and weren’t disappointed.

We recently stayed at the Port Douglas Sea Temple Resort & Spa.
We stayed in a serviced apartment at the site, we didn’t book through the Pullman. (Was booked under Sea Temple Resort & Spa.)
We stayed here as this resort had had been highly recommend to us, pre covid.
This resort is advertised well, on the Pullman website and recently on luxury escapes, however.
The pool would have to be the highlight to this hotel/resort.
If you stay here, we would suggest renting a car, the resort is about a 10 min drive from the main township.
We only ate at the resort once as the menu is very basic and the food was somewhat underwhelming. (COVID-19 impacted we suspect)
The pool bar is basic and operates from around 12 pm till 5 pm daily.
One thing we noticed the pool area/ spa area and common walkways often have cups and rubbish left about for long periods of time.
In summary, we probably wouldn’t stay here again, but it’s not a terrible resort, just didn’t have enough facilities for us, we didn’t enjoy leaving 3 times a day to eat. It’s been a bit underwhelming for the price.
Also as we didn’t book directly with the Pullman we were unable to access more pool towels.

A week in Port Douglas at the Sea Temple resort.
Room: spacious 2 bedroom swim out.
Room was large enough for our family of 4. The kids loved the swim out area. It was easy for us to watch the kids swim from our room. (There is an outside undercover area with lounges and chairs). The room was really nice. We had a small issue with some cleanliness, but rectified by the resort straight away.
Port Douglas was a great destination.
The resort met all of our needs, would recommend it.
There is an IGA close by, use the kitchen in your room if you are budget conscious. We had room service one night which was good value, but we didn’t have a buffet breakfast as it was going to be over $100 for our family.
Looking forward to returning!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sea Temple. The weather was terrific and the Port Douglas shopping strip is great. Our lagoon poolside apartment stepped directly into the lagoon which is surrounded by lush tropical rain forest plants.....the children thought we had landed in paradise. The apartment was sparkling clean and the rooms were very large with a full sized kitchen which included every facility, a full sized dining table for 6 an inside and outside lounge facility. Two bedrooms, one en suite with a whirlpool spa bath and another bathroom for the kids! All up it was a lovely place to spend a week and we would definitely return.

From making my booking and liaising with Gina on the front reception desk 😊 our trip has been lovely.
We booked a studio suite and it’s lovely 😊
The maintenance man Chris, had a lovely nature and was helpful with getting me back into my luggage as I had to use a ‘zip-tie’, was also really helpful with things to go and visit 👌
The huge lagoon pool is lovely 😊🌞
Got a bit tired of selfish people constantly leaving their belongings on pool sun beds whilst they went off for the day, so I just would move it onto a table or give it to the pool bar guy.
All the staff in the restaurant are just lovely. We enjoyed our breakfasts 🌞
The grounds are very well maintained 👌
The house keeping staff that we met were all friendly and happy 😊
Beautiful place to stay 👌

Not really a hotel more a lovely pool surrounded by self contained units. Rooms are in desperate need of an update really looking worn and old, the breakfast has got to be one of the worst I have witnessed. It reminded me of holidaying in Spain in the 90s in a 3 star hotel, the selection is very poor, the pastries were soggy and the omelette station was closed most of the time that we were here.
I have never really been to a hotel that doesn’t have a bar! It has some resemblance of one which is perched in the restaurant but not really anywhere to sit. The pool bar is open from 11am daily but rarely open at that exact time.
When they are open they usually have 3 staff working behind the bar which baffles me slightly as it isn’t really that busy? And instead of the 3 members of staff stood around talking why doesn’t one of them grab a pad and tray and walk around the pool asking guests if they would like a drink?! Surely you would earn more money that way.
Went to the restaurant for lunch one day was seated and then waited for 15 mins to be offered any drinks. After that the food was nice so no complaints from my end.
There is a mini bar in the room but has no contents apparently due to Covid but still happy to have an open buffet in the restaurant?! If your going to empty your mini bar can you at least offer your guests bottles of complimentary water?
Ordered room service one night that was 25 mins late, which I had to chase up twice with reception. It was delivered in a cardboard box with no cutlery and not even a napkin.
No hotel umbrellas available from reception on several occasions so you have to basically be soaked to get back to the room (which is a 5 min walk)
If you are a couple I can recommend not going in the kids holidays, as it seems like a family orientated hotel with lots of families with young children running around the place screaming and shouting. At times I thought I was in a family caravan park.
Reception left a voicemail on my phone in regard to my return shuttle home, it cut off halfway through so tried to call back. Nobody answered the phone for over 30 mins with myself calling through on several occasions around 7pm. When I finally got through the lady was unsure who called me but promised to find out the issue and call me back.
I had a return call at 9am the next day to inform me the shuttle was arriving 30 mins earlier than planned. It’s like things like this you would not get in a 5 star hotel (which it is claiming to be)
For just a touch over $4k for a weeks holiday it was definitely not worth the cost for what it delivers. If looking for a 5 star hotel, I would try somewhere else.
All in all a pretty average time for the cost, i am sure front of house will reply with the usual “I’m sorry we did not meet your standards and I will pass the feedback onto the team”
Port Douglas a beautiful place! The Sea temple pretty below average.

Overall would love to come back. We stayed in apartment 139 with the Boutique Collection. We arrived at 6pm to some lighting and the aircon left on for our arrival and a beautiful scent of a reed diffuser. Well equipped kitchen including a BBQ on the patio. Well equiped with laundry powder, and dishwasher tablets, Bosch appliances. They did exceptionally better than the 5 star Meriton on the Gold Coast in regards to a well equipped kitchen and the amount of laundry powder and dish washing tablets etc. Beds were comfy and pillows were comfy too. We opted for no servicing during our 7 night stay. We didn’t need it. We gave our towels a wash mid stay and put our rubbish out ourselves. Bins were only a short walk. I recommend not eating at the Pullman. Our poolside food was horrible. But the cocktails were great even better in happy hour.
Note: we booked through Affordable Holidays with an exceptional deal - the kind that go on sale for a few days at a time. Worth keeping an eye on when the Boutique Collection deals are offered.
Very happy with our apartment 139 - two bed swim out with the Boutique Collection.
Cons - Pool side food was tasteless and hot chips were like cardboard.
There was a few rooms booked for a wedding. They were a little noisy with music etc but the apartments block out a lot of the noise when closed up.

Brought here by a friend for one night and it was a relaxing stay.
Comfortable apartment living with garages within a network of expansive inviting pools. A lovely retreat for families too.
We decided to dine in & enjoyed our entre of local fresh scallops followed by steaks, went well with a 2017 French Pinot Noir: Fat Bastard.
Service was excellent & the staff were most obliging even offering to drive us back to our apartment in hotel buggy to save us from a heavy downpour.

We booked a floor level two bedroom apartment with it''s own private pool through booking.com and couldn't be happier. The unit was well kept with everything you would even need while on holidays. A kitchen with all the utensils needed, a full size fridge, washer/dryer and a view through to the pool. There was a nice outside deck area as well as a barbecue ares under cover. Even though the pool wasn't large it was deep ( deeper than 7 feet ). As you are in the Pullman resort you have use of the resort pool, bar and restaurant. You're also only about 5 minutes drive from the Port Douglas CBD. There is an apartment above you that has its own private access to a roof top terrace but I'm much prefer a pool considering it would be far to hot to use the terrace during the summer months.
The only down side would be for people who like to sleep in. We are early risers ( 4.30 am ) so it didn't bother us but the units are surrounded by lovely tropical plants which bring the birds out around 4.30 am and they ARE loud.
You also have a private covered parking garage without a roller door.

Hi Kate
Thanks for contacting us with your query. Our check-in procedure is very simple - we provide guests with a 4 digit pin code for a key-safe that is fitted to the entrance of the property. Guests can then check-in and check out at their convenience. I hope this answers your question and if I can help in any way please just. Thanks Kate.
Kind regards
Mark
