Coconut Grove is absolutely amazing!! I got there well before check in time knowing I wouldn’t be able to check in straight away, I was able to leave my luggage and to my surprise I received a text message not long after advising my room was available, the lovely manager (the blonde lady I’m so sorry I didn’t catch her name) was warm, welcoming, funny and her customer service was outstanding - she went above and beyond to ensure I was able to check in early and did not make me feel like a burden like other places when you arrive early and ensured I was happy if I passed her by during my stay. The room was spotless, inviting and spacious. I booked the penthouse apartment, there’s 3 bedrooms in there but I only booked for 1 so the other 2 rooms were locked - the layout of the penthouse is beautiful with stunning views - the upstairs bbq / private pool & spa with sunglounges and L shaped outdoor set plus a dining set was perfect, the pool was lovely luke warm and refreshing enough. They supplied some bath salts and a cute candle for a relaxing bath. The kitchen had everything you needed, laundry and dryer in the apartment. The resort was quiet, clean and relaxing - it was perfect. A special thanks again to the manager who helped make sure my outfit for a wedding was correctly zipped and pinned before I headed off!
Can’t wait to return to coconut grove when I visit Port Douglas next - absolutely exceptional! Thank you to the whole team! 10/10

We were a family of 4 adults and 2 young children ages 11 and 13 booked into the 3 bedroom penthouse apartment for a week from 30 December. Upon arrival our initial reaction was how unbelievably central and convenient the location was. Although it was our initial preference to check into a resort we are glad that we stumbled across Coconut Grove.
The location was ideal as a base location to explore tropical North Queensland. When we wanted to just do nothing the rooftop pools was our sanctuary. Having access to all the restaurants and cafes at our doorstep was the biggest tick for us. Some mornings our kids would do the coffee run for us. Four Mile Beach was literally right at our footstep.
There were some nights we didn’t feel like eating out so having access to kitchen to cook was perfect. The amenities provided was great the kitchen had everything we needed.
Fresh towels was provided daily if required so it didn’t like we were not in a resort. There was a turn down mid week during our stay, which was lovely. The property overall was very clean and modern with great amenities ie Miele appliances, great serving-ware and cooking utensils. First time being on a holiday and coming home to no dirty laundry was fabulous considering we had access to laundry.
Open rooftop area was well spaced out with great views. If there was one critique it would be that the pool was a tad small needless to say having a pool and spa to dunk in the humid weather whilst sipping on a glass of wine was perfect.
The staff at reception and housekeeping were super professional and friendly. Thank you Coconut Grove!

Coconut Grove apartments is by far the best accommodation stay we have had in Qld. It is definitely a luxury stay and it is right on Macrossan St close to the beach and all the restaurants and shops. The resort managers and staff were very friendly and helpful. The 3rd floor 2 bedroom apartment we stayed in had everything that you could want and/or need and the kitchen was well equipped if you chose to cook. Towels were refreshed as often as was required and the apartment was very clean and smelled nice. Both bedrooms had ample cupboard space and drawers with an added inbuilt desk and chair. Gardens and common areas were also very clean and well maintained. Overall a wonderful stay. Would definitely stay there again :)

We stayed at the penthouse apartment with the roof top pool, spa pool and BBQ area. This was a wonderful apartment situated in the heart of Port Douglas Downtown area. We had easy walkable access to all the shops, restaurants and bars and the marina was about a 20min walk away. The apartment was fabulous, clean with modern furnishings and the kitchen fully loaded (with utensils). The cleaning and reception staff were incredibly helpful, supportive and we paid extra for daily housekeeping, which was worth it. We had a 1 bed apartment which was about 1300 sq feet, with living room, kitchen, kitchen bar, two decks one leading off from the bedroom and the other from the living room + the upstairs pool, 'hot' tub and BBQ area which you could entertain at least 10-20 guests if you wanted. If I go to Port Douglas again I would stay here and would not hesitate for stay longer than the week we booked!

Coconut Grove Apartments are ideally situated at the beach end of Macrossan Street. Our one bedroom apartment was exceptional, quiet, with every amenity and a pleasant outlook. The bed was very comfortable and the large bathroom had great water pressure. The landscaping along the walkway to our room was picturesque. The staff in reception are very friendly and helpful. We spoke with another visitor who returns every year and we agreed that it is indeed perfection.

Luxury apartments with your choice of balcony view or your own swimming pool /spa . Fully self contained with all cooking and laundry facilities. Option to have extra guests over in seperate bedrooms /bathrooms with own lockable entrances as well.. resort is very beautifully set out with an amazing feel of the tropics .. staff are very friendly and helpful at any time .. undercover parking or the option close by to rent a scooter, car or bicycle. Wouldn’t need a vehicle to get around as everything is within walking distance including the new Crystal-brook yacht marina or Sunday markets with plenty of fresh produce or home made jewellery/clothing to choose from . Pricing is at the higher end scale so not for everyone but well worth it for a special treat !! You won’t be disappointed 🏝️

Absolutely amazing apartment that was as large as a house. We were a party of 5 adults and 1 child and all had ensuite rooms. The indoor and outdoor spaces were spacious and had everything we needed which meant we all had room to spread out.

The customer service was excellent. As were arriving after 4pm on a Sunday the Hotel Manager rang and explained the procedure for code and key location and entry. To our surprise he was still there when we arrived and so had all our keys ready and briefed us on hotel features and dining options in the town on our first night.
Upon entering our apartment, which was immaculate, there was a complimentary cheese and biscuit platter waiting for us which was a very welcoming gesture. and set the tone for a wonderful stay. The main pool is strategically placed to capture the sun from mid morning on and the water in it is warm and clean and provides a quiet, relaxing area for sunbathing. The location is excellent because you can walk to everything and despite being in the main street is very quiet. Will definitely stay here again.

We recently stayed at Coconut Grove for 7 nights - 2 adults, 3 kids in a 3 bedroom Penthouse Apartment. All I can say is wow, what an amazing place! The location is unbeatable - 4 mile beach only a few minutes walk and being on the main street, especially with kids was ideal. A short walk to many great cafes, restaurants, bars and ice cream shops.
Our apartment was so spacious, everything we needed was included. It was clean & fresh and we had no issues with anything. The kids spent most of their time in the pool, and like other reviews have stated, no shade over the pool or spa in the Penthouse apartments, however there is an umbrella that can shade part of it. We just avoided the pool during the hottest part of the day and swum in the morning or later in the afternoon when it's still warm.
The staff were so friendly and helpful, nothing seemed too much trouble although we didn't ask for much.
Our kids were so unhappy to leave, we will definitely return!

This is the 6th time we have visited Port Douglas and the 1st time we have stayed at Coconut Grove. We absolutely loved staying here, the apartment was very, very clean, spacious, bright and airy and very nicely styled. We could not fault one thing 20/10, location 10/10, staff very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely stay here again!
