On first look it doesn't appear to impress, though we were welcomed by a lovely couple Sophie and Matt who looked after us very well and went above and beyond to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. The building is on the older side though the apartments were fitted with everything you need. The kitchen was well equipped and...

I was surprise how the unit was furnished with antique furniture. They need to renewal apartments, manger often was in a bad mood. Dirty pool for a week. Complex has some Holiday apartments for tourists and some for living permanently. Nice location that's all.

Convenient location close to central cairns easy flat walk to esplanade and far enough away from hussle and bussle of the majority of late night revellers situated next to kuranda rail line which is noisy only a couple of times a day morning and afternoon.units are spacious clean and comfortable.Managers go above and beyond to give you the best holiday...

Arrived and had to clean shelves, wash plates and utensils and had second thoughts about using toaster. Right next to train tracks, Train runs twice a day only. Families live there, strong cooking odors and speaking among apartments. Owners are very friendly, outgoing and helpful. I would not stay in Cairns if interested in the Coral Reef. Por Duglas is...

A friendly and obliging relief manger. Apartment clean and tidy. Comfy beds. Ideal if you want to self cater and be self sufficient. Half hour walk to marina. Far enough from hustle of the busy area but close enough if you don't mind walking. Bus pick ups for all tours.

The hosts Sophie and Matt were awesome hosts. Booked us tours, loaned us an esky and cold packs for our day trips. Even an aloe plant for sunburn. The room was quiet. The Karunda train passed us 2 times in the morning and 2 in the afternoon at a reasonable times. We love trains so the kids loved watching it...

We stayed here recently for 4 nights. The best I can say is that the bed was comfortable but the apartment was a little run down eg threadbare blankets and very loud air conditioning units and the manager not overly friendly or helpful with arranging tours. I'm sure there are many better places to stay in Cairns. Would I recommend?...

I used a recommended website to book a two bedroom apartment. On arrival at the Citysider I was advised of no booking. No problem,we were greeted by the manager and the support staff present in a typical Aussie passion, given keys to an apartment and in about 5 minutes from arrival time we were unpacking our bags in our rooms. The apartment...

Location of this complex backs onto a rail corridor. Whilst the trains only come through a couple of times a day it's not the most pleasant outlook. However not all units face the train line many overlook a pool and the front Street. So I guess it depends on the room you get. I was also above I believe a...

“Unit 12 is on the top floor facing northeast and has a nice outlook over the pool, but the railway track is noisy with cars. The train only comes twice a day - once in the morning at 8.00am and once at night at 4.00pm. Go for a unit at the back”
