Detailed Reviews
My husband and I have spent the last 2 weeks at the Cairns Harbour Lights in a one bedroom apartment due to mandatory self isolation. I cannot stress enough how lovely and accommodating the staff have been. The rooms are nice and comfortable and are fitted out with everything required for a self contained unit, including a washer and dryer. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. The GM contacted us frequently to make sure we were ok and if we had everything we needed. Thanks for putting up with us Odette and team, you have all been wonderful.

The hotel was in a very good location, with great views of the city and the inlet. The room was comfortable with the balcony providing better access to the great views. The bed was extremely comfortable.
In these COVID times, I really appreciated that the room was not serviced during my stay, I was able to go into my room and wipe all appropriate surfaces with my antibacterial wipes, and then relax knowing that nobody was coming into my room.

The Cairns Harbour Lights is a modern, friendly and convenient hotel located on Cairns Harbour water front. The rooms are spotless with new beds installed - very comfy. There are many local restaurants and shops. The boats to barrier reef and local islands are a stones throw from the front door. Staff are friendly and helpful.

We booked for 9 nights in April/May, the service we received from Greg at reception was fantastic. We had to leave 1 day early due to Family, and Greg was outstanding. Thank you.
Our suite was lovely and we had a lovely view of Trinity inlet. The location was perfect for us as we walked every day/night along the boardwalk and enjoyed all the eateries, activities that were close by.

We recently returned from a 2 night stay. The hotel itself is in a great location on the marina with lovely views and heaps of restaurants nearby
The staff were also very friendly and helpful.
The room ( trinity bay apartment) was nice but there were a few minor negatives - unfortunately the door to the bedroom is just a frosted glass sliding wall so makes it a bit difficult to sit up and have lights on if you have a sleeping child in the room. We also struggled to get many tv channels to work ( including your basic free to air channels) as it kept saying signal issues
But other than these minor issues we would recommend this hotel.

I spent almost a week at Cairns Harbour Lights, visiting Cairns for a work conference. I loved the location, right on the harbour front with easy access to the CBD and harbourfront restaurants, whilst being peacefully quiet. I just wish the pool was open for longer, as the weather was so warm it would've been great to swim late at night, although the opening hours were very reasonable. Everything was serviced well, spotlessly clean with friendly staff - thanks for having me!

My mum and I stayed at CHL for 5 nights. The location was fantastic being within walking distance to many restaurants, the Esplanade strip and the Cairns CBD. The foyer and central architectural design within the centre of the building was beautiful.
The rooms were nice, but were a little musty, likely because the aircon is on a lot with little fresh air coming in as it’s too hot to open doors for extended periods. Bed was comfy and the bathroom was spacious. I saw negative complaints about no hot water, but it just takes a bit to come in. And when it does it’s perfectly fine. It was great to see real hair dryers in the rooms. And closet storage was good. On the 9th floor I had a great view of the harbour and the city scape as did my mum on the 7th.
The pool was simple but good to cool down in with nice views and ample shade.
The staff were impeccable. Hannah (and her cute sidekick Colin 🐶) were a delight to deal with. So friendly and helpful, she really made our stay pleasant as did Colin!
We had only a couple of issues, mum changed rooms because the first room was a bit too musty and there was an issue with an over achieving fridge that was freezing everything. But they were remedied quite quickly. Curtains in our rooms are probably due for some cleaning.
Otherwise a great stay! Would return.

We loved our stay at the Sebel. The staff were friendly and helpful. The apartment was very spacious and comfortable with an excellent view of the river boats from the very large balcony. Laundry and shower were excellent. The fridge is a bit small but fine for a short stay. Not much room in the ice box though. Great location a short walk to most everything in Cairns.
We had an issue with a broken curtain rod which the hotel fixed immediately. Pool upstairs was cold and a bit awkward but with a nice view over the river and parks. I wouldnt choose this hotel for the pool, but the public lagoon one block away is fine for swimming so maybe a hotel pool is not necessary. would be great to have a heated jacuzzi.

We recently stayed 7 nights at Cairns Harbour Lights over the Easter School holidays and we honestly couldn’t be happier.
From the time I booked online on the Accor website to contacting the hotel direct to make an amendment, everything just went swimmingly.
Greg in particular was a tremendous help and an absolute asset to this establishment. Offering genuine customer service, going above and beyond to help us book day tours, recommendations on local activities (especially as we were travelling with two young children) and the list goes on.
We will certainly be back. The hotel is stunning, very stylish and extremely clean and tidy. Our apartment was spacious and offered everything you need when away from home with two children as well. Great view of the garden and harbour but not specifically a harbour view room, so we were quite excited to see the water upon arrival. Beds were extremely comfy and an offering of pillow types just topped off a great holiday.
To add - some great restaurants directly downstairs, convenience store across the road and a brilliant kids playground “the Tree House” and “The Lagoon & Beach” within only minutes walk.
Thank you for making our holiday extra special, especially after the lack of ability to travel during 2020. You were all exceptional and the hotel was wonderful, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you very much! I hope we have the pleasure of returning again soon! 🤞

The place was great on the outside, the amenities were great too and the view.. magnificent! The room was really average though, I would not rate it as being 4.5 star... especially the bathroom - it was dark and lacked ventilation. However I believe it was worth what we paid for it, i just hope there are better rooms in this hotel. It has a great potential - i do recommend it because of the location, price, service and views!

I don't remember our room number but it was a 1-bedroom, 2nd floor unit right in the corner. View overlooking both the Hilton on the right and the harbor on the left. I wrote about it on my travel blog. It's at blogspot. just type in sharonsparlin+blogspot and it should come up. Then just type in "Harbour Lights" in the search engine.
Hi. My husband and I recently stayed at this hotel. The room we were in did not have a sofa bed in it but that doesn't mean other rooms don't have them. I am sure the hotel would be able to advise you regarding that. They may even have a rollaway that they could put in there.
Both pool and spa are cold
1. Pay for movies only
2. Fox sport 3 channels
3. Plenty of restaurants very very close to, plus some restaurants will provide room service.
