Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed only 1 night as it was conveniently located near the airport for our early morning departure. But we would have been happy staying a couple of night here. The room was large and super-clean. The beds comfortable and it all felt like nice quality, pool was lovely and clean and well maintained. Particularly for the price - we were surprised at how nice it was considering the price paid. All in all for a few night in cairns I would recommend this place.

Only one key for three of us, if one went out, the others would have the bathroom in darkness as it is attached to power tab. No mention of reusing towels in the room. Apparently the small print on their website says the room will only be serviced after day 4. They reluctantly gave us new towels. Three guests, four pillows (total) Drinking glasses were old plastic scratched glasses. How easy it could’ve been to have glass drinking glasses? Standard reply from reception “It’s company policy”

This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. The motel was dirty, everything in the room was either broken or rusted along with plenty of filth. The curtains were half off the tracks. There was only 1 glass, teaspoon and no equipment to use the stovetop. I think the booking companies need to take this off their sites. It’s not good for their reputation

There is no longer breakfast. The airport shuttle doesn’t run. The guy at the front desk didn’t want to exchange our towels after 3 days of heavy use. Kitchen use was limited by cookware. Room was clean, beds were comfortable. Pool was nice, don’t be fooled by the odd colour of the pool.

Very dated, lots of broken items. No staff around after 7pm. There was no staff even for check out at 10am. My room was very noisy, it was at the back near the carpark, back door banging all day and night. I would not recommend.

Very tired resort with the verandah being covered in grime and stains. Putrid area which needs a good clean. Room has the basics but would have been better if they supplied milk for the coffee!! They really need to do something about the flight paths in Cairns as most go right over the tourist strip area from 6am onwards. Don't recommend as too dingy and over-priced.

The room was very dirty, there was a horrible smell. The hairdryer was broken and there were 3 cockroaches running along the bed and on the door when we woke up. Is not worth your Money. The receptionist was kind when we checked in.

Big clean rooms with good beds. Our room also had a kitchen which helps reduce food costs. Hotel in north of town in quiet location close to airport rather than main town so good for people with a car

I notified the hotel 9 days prior to my arrival that I will be arriving after hours and that if there are any issues with this to let me know and I'll book somewhere else. They said this is fine and that a key will be available for me to collect when I arrive. I arrived at the hotel, collected my key and made my way to my room. As I find it a man I have never met enters my room then a few minutes later leaves and says to me that he went into the wrong room. As I'm a single female traveller having someone I don't know enter and exit my allocated room at 2am isn't the most comforting thing. Upon entering the room both the taps were turned on full, there was no hot water from either of the taps or the shower, the smoke alarm was beeping every couple of minutes as it needs a battery replaced and a bowl of chicken stir-fry had been left from the last guest in the fridge. As it was 2am I knew none of these issues were going to be fixed and I also just wanted to get to sleep and on finding each of the problems I messaged the hotel to ensure they would be aware of these issues when I checked out the next morning. On check out I notified the guy at reception of how my stay was and all was told that sometimes the housekeepers don't lock the doors after they have cleaned and a couple of oh how strange. I then messaged the hotel and got a response from the manager saying that the state of the room was fully their fault and that they were busy the day before so he did not have time to check the room. Only apologies were given which I see as unacceptable due to be booking this accommodation for the pure purpose of being able to sleep and having a warm shower.
