This hotel contains COVID breaches including previous guest's cold and flu medications left in room (amongst other personal items such as antidepressants), an incredibly dirty room and PUBIC hair on the bedside tables. I have given the hotel five chances privately to speak with me, I got through to Sharon at offsite reception a month ago and she advised she received my emails and messages and would call me back. Never happened. I arrived late on the 27th of December and fell asleep, awoke early the next morning to travel out to the Great Barrier Reef. Returning to my room late that afternoon I saw in daylight just how dirty the room was. See my uploaded photos of just how disgusting the room was, this included pubic hair on the bedside tables, no surfaces wiped down including the floors and blood stains on the curtains. As there is no reception on site at all, I called the emergency after hours number and no one got back to me. I had to contact QLD Health for advice (they have now attended the hotel and had multiple inspections) and was told to leave as my health was at risk. I was forced to stay the night as I had nowhere else to go, and had to check myself out the next morning early (via a key box) and lose out on a night's stay. The hotel has no care whatsoever about the safety of their guests. There is no one on site to speak with, they don’t return your phone calls even on their emergency number. The hotel has completely blown me off and has no care that there was cold and flu medication, sore throat lozengers, antidepressants and other items left behind in an incredibly unclean room. It’s pretty bad for surfaces not to be wiped down and have pubic hair on them. DO NOT stay here if you don't want to compromise your health. This is a hotel who does not take covid seriously, let alone undertake cleaning of even a normal satisfactory standard. I expect more for $110 a night.

This is not a hotel. This is an industrial area that has been repurposed to charge people money to stay in it. The photos displayed on the site are not accurate and I am reporting the company to the ACCC. It is dirty, the floors unwashed, nothing was plugged in, hair on the pillow cases. I rented the two bedroom apartment which was actually two rooms side by side, one had 2 beds and the other room had 4 beds.

All I can say is WOW..... we arrived to check in at the allocated time, Pin code provided in booking App as advised did not work, forced to use the disgusting grotty phone that clearly hasn’t been cleaned since PRE COVID times, asked to provide c/card details over the phone for security reasons which seems so insecure considering anyone could be listening in the vicinity and taking details.... (Very insecure indeed) once given the correct pin we proceeded to our “family” room.... the staircase leading up to the room was a real indication of what we were to be staying in.... absolute GROT!!!! So thankful I had brought my own bedding because the towels on the bed were stained and dirty looking, the sheets looked clean however looked like bed had just been re made as the sheets were all wrinkly and looking like it had been re made from the night before.... there were USED bandaids on the patio that had clearly not been cleaned in quite a while, ashtray on table was filthy, air con filter dirty AF, this whole place is very unsanitary!!! For the $$ we paid it is safe to say I would rather have paid extra to stay elsewhere... wanted to go for a swim but didn’t trust the pool based on unsanitary condition of the whole place... So do yourself a favour and look elsewhere..... If I wake in the morning with bed bug bites I would not at all be surprised and that’s with my own blankets.... honestly 1star would be more accurate if a rating....if that!!!

This place is absolutely disgusting!! If the domestics In the place don’t wake you up the fire alarm that goes off every night will! Stayed 3 nights, was woke up on the first night by a domestic that was allowed to carry on from 3am to daylight, yelling, swearing, smashing things and slamming things! Next night the fire alarm was going off at 6am. Looking forward to a decent nights sleep on the last night but nope, the complex fire alarm went off again at 12.30am. And that wasn’t even the worst part. I could smell this foulest smell, finally had enough of it and went looking for it, under the bed were 3 bottles filled will sour baby formula!!! Dirt and nappies!! I went down to reception and had to phone an after hours number, was told I’d have to wait until someone got onsite in around an hour. Had to sit in the room and wait for someone to come, was terrible sitting in that stinking room now knowing now what the smell was. Some lady who looked like they worked there was walking around the car park and I asked her if she had a minute to come up and have a look at the mess I had found under the bed she said no she had things to do and sent a cleaner up, the cleaner was lovely and very apologetic but the mess was foul! When I arrived there on the first day, had to give credit card details over the phone they had on the street, I was very uncomfortable doing that especially when they already had my details and taken payment. The curtains were filthy they had what looked like blood on them. I paid for 3 people to stay there but the only utensils in the place was 1 cup and 1 spoon.

On the last weekend of the school holidays, we went to Cairns and stayed at the Cairns City Sheridan as a returning family. It wont happen again. On arrival, the sign for the hotel has lost some of its wording, making me doubt if i was at the right place. I was of course as ive been here before, but looking in to the glass doors, it was clearly closed and no one in the office area. It was 3pm on a Thursday. Seriously felt like this place was abandon. I rang the number to be answered by a woman telling me that my key was in an envelope in a box provided. We parked the car, found our room which was off from the pool downstairs. Disappointed as even though our rooms was big, it looked like it was once a community area that they have closed in and turned into a guest room. We had no balcony, no view, the only window i drew the curtains closed so that people walking passed couldnt see into the bed (which you could i checked!) the spare bedroom had a couple singe beds, the lamp shade was visibility broken. All towels was extremely small, 1 pillow on each bed, no extras. The whole place was very basic, i mean, very minimal full of scruff marks, dirt, cob webs and poo from insects. Disappointed that in the past, the nights price usually included breakfast. The kitchen is closed. Anyway, after a not good impression, we decided to have a swim. It was here that we noticed, only 2 other cars the whole time we were here... started off in the normal pool that is nice and ended in the big deep pool.. having our 2 young children and teenager with us, we stayed in the shallow parts having fun and doing some swimming lessons with the young ones. When hoping out, my youngest who is 4, shouted out and started crying as she was standing on the first step. Blood immediately started pouring out! as a mum and freaked thinking how bad this could be and what caused it. My son, found a large chunk of glass sitting on the step! She had a 3 cm slash on the pad under her toes. Luckly over time, we were able to hold it shut, and tape it up with my own first aid kit without needing to go to the hospital. The woman i spoke to over the phone about this situation virtually didnt say much and didnt even offer an apology. Just mentioned she would tell the on call guy to come and have a look... nothing happened until the next morning when i saw a maintenance man, who was aware of the situation said he already cleaned the pool that morning and had in fact found a chunck of glass. He apologized saying they do the best they can. We packed up and left. We wont be returning. We had no follow up email or phone call regarding my daughter. this place has really run down and weather its due to covid or lack of management its a shame to see.
