Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Wow. Would give more stars if I could. Total serenity. Beautiful, lush sites that are shady and a good size. Immaculate bathrooms and toilets. Great laundry facilities. Very friendly staff and easy check in. Have stayed in the other caravan parks in Cairns and this one is by far the best. A good rate for families and even pet friendly. There is a beautiful pool and the park backs on to a fresh water running stream which we have been swimming in on most days. Beautiful tropical rain forest walks. Turtle feeding. Awesome camp kitchen. Immaculate grounds. Doesn't get better than this. We extended our stay by a week. Highly recommend

The website showed the beautiful grassy sites listed as premium creekside sites. Upon arrival we found our premium creekside site was really just a dusty patch of dirt. The creek could not be swum in or fished in. All it was good for was attracting copious amounts of midges. We had an issue with another guest of the park threatening our young children, and when we reported this to management, they wanted no part of it. They simply said they could not control the behaviour of all their guests. I would not recommend this park to anyone, especially those with children.

What a fantastic park! The staff were super helpful and accommodating in organising our group booking. Our kids all had a ball swimming and heading down to the creek. We mostly stayed in cabins and motel rooms and were all able to stay relatively close to each other. Rooms varied in size but were perfect for what we needed. Laundry facilities were great with option to buy washing powder at reception. Staff were always friendly and helpful. The onsite cafe was great with good coffee and quick meal options. I had a toasted sandwich one day and a bacon and egg roll another - both were just what I needed to start the day. Overall a great park. Looking forward to coming back if we head back to Cairns.

This is a pleasant park. It has good grass, a pool a spa and a kids play ground. The after is surprisingly cool. The amenities are new and spotless. There are two downsides. The sites are short. A long RV might find difficulty fitting. Also it is close to a main road.

We paid for a premium site creek side and it was worth the money. Our site (153) even had the ‘beach’ into the creek. Good size pool. Clean. Friendly. Cafe. Turtles and fish to see in the creek. Near enough to Cairns but far enough away to be quite tranquil. Some mild road noise. Nothing to worry about.

Stayed 5 nights during tourist season/school holidays and it rained for most of it. I must say, I’m very impressed with the high standard of cleanliness, friendly staff, size of sites, upkeep of amenities. I definitely recommend Cool Waters CP. We’ll be staying again. We’ll done!!!

We just had a wonderful second stay at this amazing campsite. Amenities are always spotless, staff are really friendly and helpful and the beautiful grounds are well maintained. With a creek running through it and a park adjacent, it's a great place to stay. We will be back.

We have been Ccaravanning in Qld since Easter & the popular name of Cool Waters Holiday Park has kept popping up from other travellers. We booked in for 4 nights & ended up staying 2 weeks. The sites at the back of the park, overlooking the creek, would have to be the most relaxing, peaceful sites we have stayed on in nearly 10 years on the road. TV reception was non existence which in the end was fantastic. Gave us a chance to read a few books & observe the wildlife using the creek. Facilities clean & enjoyable to use. Staff ready with a smile & a chat. Thank you.

I was told about this park 6 years ago whilst sitting at a Bali resort. How fortunate for me I booked in this year and it was exactly as described in Bali. Right from our check in we felt welcomed and excited about our stay. Staff are so approachable. We had a caravan site right near the creek. You are staying in a rainforest so birdlife is all around. There are excellent walking paths straight out of the back of the park. Dog owners will love the dog park adjacent to the park also. At Redlynch shopping centre there is a doggy daycare that is above average in service. Loved our stay booked again for a month again. Highly recommended.
