Air Conditioning made our room uncomfortable in Cairns you need a working air conditioner, we had to ask for a fan. Apart from that was basic but fine but you have to walk about 25 mins to esplanade or a $10 Uber ride

Great stay for 4 nights , reception lady was super helpful and very welcoming. Our room was large , with patio , garden and practically a private pool. The rooms are getting a little dated , and I would consider upgrading them soon. But everything worked and was serviceable. It’s a good location being a 25-30 min walk to the centre & harbour. but quieter than the city , so suited for those of us who like a little peace & quiet. I’d have no hesitation in booking again, if we’re lucky enough to return.

Quick check-in, easy entrance, tidy and neat rooms. A/C was good. Older type rooms but you're there as a central base - easy access to everything around the city. Only one thing is the food place which is next to the hotel. I'll call it 'food place' because it wasn't a cafe and definately wasn't a restaurant. We got a 'big breakfast' option for $24 each and with that you get an egg, a hotdog, 2 rashers barely annoyed (slightly cooked), and.. yea thats it. Amused, we didn't complain, but serve a big brekky when you advertise it as such. This is a dwarf brekky. A little person brekky. Perhaps toddler. Anyway the hotel was really good. Id recommend it but go and get a decent brekky elsewhere.

We stayed in a deluxe hotel room with our two young Grandchildren. When we checked in the receptionist was very friendly and helpful. I liked the car park being in a gated area as it made it more secure. Our hotel room was very clean, and staff had already set the sofa bed up which was great. The kids were excited to see there were 2 pools so of course we had to try them both, and they were both lovely to swim in. After our swim I tried out the shower in our room and it was amazing - huge shower head and great water pressure! The shampoo and conditioner provided were really nice also. The beds were very comfortable to sleep in and we all slept really well. The balcony was a nice size - not too small - and the chairs were comfortable to sit in. There was free Wi-Fi that was a little bit slow but that happens in some areas, so I wasn't too concerned about that. The only thing I would have liked an improvement on were the coffee cups - they were those small ones. It would be nice to have a couple of larger mugs also. We really enjoyed our stay and felt it was good value for money - we will stay there again next time we stop in Cairns overnight.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review and for mentioning the quality of our reception. At the Cairns Queenslander we take every effort to ensure every guest stay is as comfortable as possible. We certainly care about our guest’s health & well being, the property schedules annual spring cleanings and regular pest & health check by a licensed accredited pest control company. We do hope overall you enjoyed your time in Cairns and will look at returning again in the not too distant future

Great ground floor room. Spacious and felt extremely clean. Bravo to NO CAPET on the floor. All motels should aspire to this. No external light shone into the room overnight. The decor was great and the room was quiet. All amenities in the room were clean and comfortable. The kitchenette was well appointed. The restaurant adjacent to the reception whilst not flash...did a good job of providing edible food. I can advise I would be happy to stay again.
