We stayed here for 3 nights on a package we purchased from Scoopon. For the price we got what we expected. The room was a good size and clean and comfortable enough. However there wasn’t always enough parking and we ended up parking on the street a couple of times. We had a top floor room and there were no lifts, so we had to lift heavy suitcases up a few flights of stairs. However, there were many questionable guests who were kind of creepy and it seemed like a bit of a halfway house. The doors get locked at 9pm “for your safety” (which also made me question my safety and why this was necessary). When we arrived back at the hotel after 9pm our key wouldn’t let us in as it was meant to. While I was using the phone to call the night manager to sort this out I was approached by two locals who were quite threatening and they only retreated as my husband came around the corner. I don’t know if they were guests. I wouldn’t stay here again.…
Stayed here with our pet Maltese Shihtsu for a night. Had to book a premier room as they only allow pets with these. Still a good rate and good breakfast thrown in. Ground-floor Room was a little small, but very comfortable and opened onto a common paved area surrounded by grass. Only problem was, it rained pretty heavily, so our little dog was confined to the room for most of the time! Loved the little fresh (machine-made) pancakes for breakfast! Will probably stay here again if we have to travel with our pet! Dont know if they allow big dogs as they did specify small dogs.....however, did see a Boxer-type dog outside a neighbouring room..........
Clean rooms. Friendly reception. Great price. Can’t complain at all. Bed was very comfortable. Within a walk to shops and cafes. Booked an early morning taxi. Uber eats delivers just fine. Great characters in cairns
this hotel(more like a motel)was booked for us by our uk tour operator saying it was a 4* hotel.we were 14 in the group and all refused to stay here as the rooms were very poor/no lifts in hotel/some beds did not have baths(you have to share).to be fair to hotel reception staff, they told us this were the rooms booked and all details were with tour operator at the time of booking.i understand there were some expensive room in other block owned by the hotel which were all booked.eventually we had to get our tour operation to book us at another 4* star hotel as that is what we paid for.this will suit people with low budget but definetely was not what we expected to get.again i would like to thank reception staff to allow us to stay there with luggage until we found another hotel(few hours).we looked at the room but no one agreed to stay at this hotel…
Stayed here for three nights, room with twin beds, clean and nice shower room. Breakfast continental but ample to start the day. The receptionists were fantastic, nothing a problem. There is a pub/restaurant 200 yards down the road and a host of take aways just opposite. The only reason i never gave a 5 was our room was above smokers area, could smell the smoke with window open.
