Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Booked an interconnecting room for a family of 4. The bathroom was the worst… the tiles had been painted in the shower and were flaking paint, the shower curtain was useless and flooded the entire bathroom and we were drying it up with our towels it also had mould, the pillows were flat and hard. Box aircon could barely keep room cool. Know it’s not 5 star but expected better.

The Wifi does not work- I mean we are in 2024, some people aren’t stingy about beds/noise etc all we care about is good speed internet condition- it’s literally not too much to ask for. This place has wifi that zones in and out after 30 seconds that it leaves you with a mind numbing migraine- the reception staff were amazing thi

The room was extremely well presented. The pillows were comfortable and the beds were great. The balcony was private. Conveniently close to the CBD. Offers toiletries at reception. Reception staff were prompt and lovely. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

I finally got through over 24hrs prior to my booking to staff by phone after our service had been out due to the Cyclone weather and dealing with harrowing flooding at my home in the Daintree not to request a cancellation but just to move the booking. I had also emailed them 72hrs before twice. I am very dissapointed with the response from the staff who would not do anything and are just going for a short term gain to take my money this time. I am a fifo worker and have used their hotel several times before and was planning on continuing to use it but their lack.of compassion and short term greed in the middle of a natural disaster was very dissapointing to put it politely.

Good location but very noisy. Location is great but the motel is on a super busy highway under the flight path of the airport. Included breakfast is basic but sufficient. Staff were friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking. Clean rooms. Fresh linen daily.

We stayed here twice in Nov, two different rooms. Booked the first stay in advance and were pleased with our room in b block. Second floor, lovely view of pool, clean. Good sized bed, fridge and coffee making facilities plus wardrobe. Bathroom a little dated but perfectly sufficient, with good flow of hot water. Nice welcome even though we arrived just as they were closing. Pool clean and lovely temperature, watched the guy clean it each morning, nice outside seating area s. Good options of things to buy at reception including frozen meals to use in a microwave (available in guest area). Breakfast a couple of options available, fairly basic continental but convenient, plentiful and clean. You could pay for a cooked breakfast and that looked good too. Laundry facilities good and worked well. On our way back from the Daintree we needed accommodation again and didn't hesitate to stay again. This time allocated a room in c block, felt much more up to date, lovely room with very modern facilities. Felt a little removed from main part of hotel as not overlooking pool but worth it for the up to date rooms. Again, nice welcome, helpful staff etc. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again, value for money.

There are some features which make this place very good and others which make it not so good. We booked the standard double rooms so I can only speak for those. Okay: The rooms/furniture is not that good looking although its pretty clean. The complimentary breakfast is pretty basic (bread, cereal, juice) and I was surprised there is no option for fruits. Great: The location is amazing (right in the city of Cairns) so you have easy access to the best restaurants, car rentals, airport, reef tours, and pretty much everything you could want.
