Our initially allocated room was underwhelming but on letting the reception know they were able to accomodate us into the main building up recently renovated rooms which were far more cleaner, nicer, spacious and modern! Plenty of kids activities run everyday during holidays plus the lagoon pool with bar was great! Breakfast was great but options were limited by day 3. They can increase their range but again due to COVID they had a la carte which was good
Stayed 8 nights as a family of 4. We had a pool view room which is worth paying the slightly extra price for. Rooms newly renovated. Beds comfy but the pillows were awfully uncomfortable. They definitely need to invest in some new ones. Great location in walking distance to shops, restaurants and the esplanade. Loved the lagoon style pool. The hotel restaurant did $19 dinner specials each night so we ended up having dinner at the hotel for 3 nights. The breakfast were great. No buffet due to Covid but you had a selection of 12 items to choose from so you didn't get bored of eating the same things. The breakfast team were good but their procedures could be tweaked. At least twice they forgot to come back and take our breakfast order. Covid cleaning standards appeared very good too. Our first time in Cairns and would definitely recommend and would stay again. Overall great value for money.…
Hotel is well maintained, central location. Pool and pool bar very family friendly and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. Affordable meal options and variety of school holiday activities for the kids.. 5 stars
The room was clean, bed was very comfortable and the general ambience welcoming. And very central to everything in Cairns. We live a couple of hours away and regularly come to Cairns for events, shopping and meals out. It's our "go to" hotel.
Luckily we were only staying the one night, yes the pool area is nice but the rooms are horrible. As soon as we opened the door all we could smell was mould. The room was a mismatch of furniture the bathroom was very dated something from the 80’s. I understand it is a standard room but for $170 not worthy of that price.
