Stayed here for 5 nights - excellent in terms of location, there are many restaurants within walking distance, the esplanade boardwalk is right at the hotel, and you're 10+mins by foot to the fleet terminal and railway station (to take the train to Kuranda). Room was new, spacious, although the shower could be better (the bathroom is a little tiny and water gets everywhere after a shower). Loved that they had comfy bedroom slippers. Pilar (?) was very helpful - I had my flight cancelled just hours I was due to depart and she was sympathetic. They were quite strict about check out timings, but I managed to check out at around 1pm.

What a great location on the Boardwalk. Quickly checked in but I found with two blocks I was easily confused. Great large room on level 7 facing the harbour and ferris wheel. Well supplied and spotlessly clean. Breakfast very good but we ate out at night. Staff unbelievably friendly. A great stay in a lovely hotel. Thank you Team Crystalbrook Flynn.

I had a sea king room on level 9 right in front of the ferris wheel. I loved the room and the view was fantastic. The room was comfortable, had a fantastic rain shower in the bathroom and a coffee machine & pods. The hotel does not accept cash anywhere so you must have a credit card. I stayed 2 nights and thought the location was excellent. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.

This is the best hotel in Cairns. It is newly renovated and super clean in every corner The large king bed provided me a restful sleep. The shower was perfect.....strong pressure and nice smelling soap. The aircon in the room worked perfectly. There are two pools and showers for those with late flights who want a quick freshening up. This hotel is a must stay before and after your liveaboard! The highlight are the staff! Every single person was friendly and helpful. The front desk team are excellent! They even greeted me by name (wow!). Beyond impressed by the team......5 star level of service and presentation of themselves. Do not hesitate......this is the best hotel in the city.

Excellent location, right on the board walk close to most restaurants and the big pool by the pier side. Room was clean , pillows were soft , ordered a memory foam pillow which was delivered quickly. On check in the staff forgot to mention anything about our room and hotel amenities even regarding the app or the iPad in the room to view all the information , which is really a shame for a 5 star rated hotel . But apart from that all staff are friendly , efficient and happy to help . Onsite restaurants- Boardwalk social and Italian by Flynn both nice meals and breakfast daily was nice . We loved the fresh watermelon. Car parking is $15 per night , safe, secure underground parking for which you will be provided a remote to open the barrier on exit and entry. The balcony view was amazing , nice place to enjoy a few wines. Overall a very pleasant stay. :)…

After been stranded in Melbourne we arrived late Sunday night was greeted at reception by a bubbly front of house who made us very welcome after a long day stayed in a normal studio room no views but very clean and well set out very comfortable bed we didn’t eat breakfast but the buffet looked pretty good I found the hotel layout a little confusing with two towers but overall its not 5 star but was good value we definitely recommend and stay again

We stayed in a Sea King room at the Flynn for the weekend following a week in Palm Cove. Our room on level 8 overlooked the water and the beautifully landscaped Boardwalk/lagoon area. Our room was very clean with a comfortable bed and a smart tv. A coffee machine and pods was provided, however there were no plates or cutlery which was disappointing. Be warned there's a lot happening at street level in front of the hotel, with high noise levels from the bars and restaurants particularly at night. So if you are in your room trying to sleep you have a choice - you can close the balcony doors to shut out the noise or leave them open to catch the cooling breezes but put up with the noise. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Flynn. It's in a great location and we would recommend the water-view rooms (even with the noise).…

Great value and quality! Have stayed here a couple of times now, and each time we have been greeted by the same gentlemen who goes above and beyond to make your stay smooth. Often it's the little things that count and he's enabled us to check in early, and check out late on another occasion without us asking, and these little gestures have made our stay that extra bit special and is why we always come back. We had a great package with Crystalbrook Flynn which included breakfast, credit to spend on food and beverages at any of the Flynn properties, two cruises, (one out to the outer reef and one to Green island), free movies and a welcome bottle of wine. This hotel is in the perfect location for exploring Cairns on foot with one entrance on the Esplanade and the other on Abbott St. We stayed in a well-appointed urban king room and were luckily allocated the top floor with panoramic views of the inlet and mountains and from our balcony a view of the sea. Our room was large, modern, clean and comfortable. We found all the staff friendly and helpful. The only area for improvement would be breakfast; the hot buffet offerings were disappointing.

I loved the stay at this hotel but their customer service is the pits. Been trying to contact this hotel for over six days as we left an item in the room. Email, phone messages, web forms, social media messaging and still no response. I’ve never left a one star review until now, but their inability to interact / lack of customer service is beyond frustrating and undermines their brand.
