Lovely pool area and rooms. However - Everything was a waiting game. Definitely not enough pool lounges or seating and there was plenty of room around pool areas for social distancing. Overall, more staff needed! The earliest our room was cleaned was 4.30pm. It would be great if there was a water/ice station near the pool as there was always a wait at the bar. Also, to have towels by the pool instead of going into the foyer. That said, staff were very kind and helpful when we spoke to them.

Hotel's Favourite
We stayed at the Bailey for a work trip during a difficult time due to Covid. The hotel is beautiful with a wonderful outdoor pool and dining area. What made the stay so memorable was the staff. They were so friendly, helpful and patient with us we really enjoyed getting to know them. A special mention to Annbolin, Angelo and Jay who are just great people and really looked after us! Would highly recommend for a stay in cairns, right near the water, lagoon and restaurants. Would 100% stay again.

This hotel is nice, but is missing a lot of things to be considered 5 star (as it is advertised). There is no room service, no minibar, not even water in your room. I can't remember staying at a hotel (even the $100 a night cheapies) and not being provided with water. Staying here felt like a fancy Formula 1. I had high expectations, as the other Crystalbrook properties I have stayed at provide a lot more (Flynn and Riley). I felt let down by this one. Was really disappointed that there was no bedside tables in the room I stayed in and no power-points near the beds for my medical device. The rooms are small, but nicely decorated. The in-room TV system is excellent. I work a lot from my hotel room when I travel, and the desk and chair was comfortable and the space was sufficient. Lighting in the room is excellent. Check-in was quick and the staff were friendly and helpful. Overall a comfortable stay, but the promise of 5 star left me feeling disappointed on both the amenities and value fronts.

We stayed at Bailey having made a last minute change due to the COVID disruption in Brisbane. Booked 2 nights in an Urban room over Easter weekend. Check in was fast and efficient, we arrived over 2 hours early but still were allowed to check in. Throughout the stay the staff were exceptional - nothing too much trouble and a real asset to the hotel. The entrance is impressive with tropical foliage lining the walls. Contemporary artwork is everywhere and rooms are very sleek and modern (mood lighting, very comfy bed). Down sides - a damp smell in the room - possibly a fault with the aircon which we raised and it was looked into promptly - partially resolved if we had stayed longer we would have changed rooms. For a 5 star hotel I'd also expect a bigger pool area and in-room minibar (drinks were available to buy from reception but this wasn't possible on Good Friday due to Qld liquor laws). Overall a good experience, the hotel has great concepts like the grab and go breakfast and strives to be sustainable. 4 stars

Hi Psychgal, Thank you for the review of our much loved Bailey. So nice to hear you loved the service and the team were attentive and sorted issues out fast. Due to restrictions with covid, minibars are hard to implement in rooms. As the alternative the cart at reception as mentioned. Hopefully very soon we can open our great dining options in Bailey for you to enjoy
