5 Star Experience Lovely amenities 2 bedroom 2 bathroom large apartment 5th floor, 501, with water inlet facing balcony. Full kitchen, with large fridge and dishwasher.. Stock up make your cheese platter pour a drink and enjoy happy hour on the balcony and watch the boats cruise by. 2 bathrooms one ensuite with walk-in robe. 2nd bedroom with robe, ask to configure beds as you want there is plenty of storage as there are double built ins in entrance. laundry with wash machine and dryer. Lounge has 2 large sofas large screen TV free wifi. Indoor dining seats 6 and outdoor dining bar table plus swivel bar chairs seats 4.. Easy walk along esplanade into city. Opposite warf 2 and Hemingway’s brewery. Lots of cafes along the way. Bring earplugs if sleeping in front bedroom as the warf clock across the road chimes every hour on the hour .. Pool Gym BBQ everything you need to make for a great stay. We were two couples travelling together from SA.
Reception very accommodating and helpful. This is a locked building so keys and passes are presented and demonstrated on checkin. Undercroft secure car parking with internal lift.

One week stay on 7th floor. Large balcony facing the channel. Great views of boats coming and leaving including cruise ships. Well appointed, including laundry and kitchen. Close to pretty much everything in Cairns CBD for shopping, dining etc. Having to pay $2 for a toilet roll after using the 2 there is parsimonious, we chose to stock up at supermarket. 2nd last day someone on unit above us decided to to wash down their balcony, partially flooding ours and forcing us to move our table. The day before they used a hammer drill a good chunk of the day.

Fantastic apartment overlooking the wharf with Hemingways a great brewery opposite. The apartment is very clean and fully equipped with everything you need for a great stay including a washer and dryer, essential on a road trip. Daintree, Mossman and Kuranda all within driving distance for a great days out.

A hotel room is not always a primary focus when I travel but I’m starting to see the importance of comfortable accommodations when I look back at how staying at the Jack and Newell Holiday Apartments was one of the highlights of my trip. I didn’t want to leave.
I don’t know what I loved most. Our Coral Sea view was stunning. Our city view and balcony was awesome too. It was a short walk to shopping and the Cairns Night Market. Having a nice kitchen and a comfortable living room made me feel at home. Everything was sparkling clean and tidy. The jacuzzi spa in the master bathroom was a fabulous way to unwind and the service we received from Jodie and Michael was absolutely 5 star. Finally, the value was incredible.
If you’re debating about options for hotels, I can’t recommend this place highly enough. I am thankful for the beautiful memories.

Four of us spent 9 nights staying at Jack and Newell Apartments from Jan 2. We booked 2 rooms with waterfront views of the Esplanade. In the days leading up to our stay, 4 of our friends were uncomfortable traveling due to Covid, resulting me cancelling the 2 other rooms booked. Throughout the cancellation process Jodie was fantastic, displaying brilliant customer service and understanding - she made the process seamless.
The 9 night stay for the remaining 4 of us was nothing short of magnificent. The rooms are very spacious and clean with a good size balcony. The pool is lovely and staff so friendly and helpful.
The apartments are located at the quieter end of Cairns, opposite Hemingway's Brewery and less than 10 minute walk to the main restaurants and bar area.
I highly recommend.

Stayed here for 1 week with 3 kids. Pleasantly surprised when we walked in by the size of the apartment! It was huge! Large balcony and large living room was awesome with kids. Also large kitchen with gas cook top. We cooked several meals with no issues- everything we needed was there.
The view is amazing also... stating straight out at the water. Can sit and watch boats or people walking below. Also had 2 bathrooms and a full laundry which was amazing.
We used the pool everyday and only saw other people in there once which was nice- not crowded.
Also an amazing bbq area onsite with 2 shelters with tables.
Finally, great service. Free parking was included, we were allowed an early check in, AND provided with a trundle for our 3rd child free of charge. Was appreciated. Would definitely recommend

We loved our waterfront apartment
Really spacious, beautiful views.
Top location,very handy for the Reef fleet terminal for day trips and plenty of restaurants (+supermarket) nearby.
Secure parking underneath the apartments
Just to note that office closes at 2pm on the weekends (which we were aware of) so if arriving later make arrangements beforehand
Highly recommended.

Booked via Luxury Escapes and loved our stay. The apartment was very roomy, clean and tidy.View from our balcony was really nice too.
Jodi and Michael were very friendly and helpful, which made our stay, stress free.
We also booked a couple of tours at the front desk and got a few tips.
The location is close to the Esplanade and the Lagoon precinct and Woolies supermarket just around the corner

Can’t fault this apartment. We had a 2Br on 11th floor overlooking the water and stayed for 6nights. The balcony was large with clear unobstructed views overlooking the river and could see out to the ocean. The kitchen is the best provisioned kitchen for a holiday apartment with everything you could want. Even down to having glad wrap and aluminium foil in the drawers. Large dining table and lounge setting. TV in lounge and master with smart TV’s in both allowing you to login into your Netflix, Kayo etc apps. Superfast wifi with no limits. Bathroom for each bedroom and a 3rd toilet in the separate laundry.
Location is perfect with everything a short walk away.
Will definitely recommend this to friends and stay again next time in Cairns.

The lagoon at Cairns esplanade is perfect for toddlers and children. Not very far at all. Google it, you'll be impressed.

Jack & Newell Apartments are ideally situated in the CBD with just a short stroll to everything you could need so there is no need for a car during your stay unless you would like to do some self-drive tours. We recommend a taxi to get here. Taxi costs about $23-25 and takes about 10-15 minutes. We do not recommend transfer/shuttle services because there is normally no cost saving and this can unnecessarily extend your arrival time.
