Detailed Reviews
I really enjoy staying at this hotel when I'm in Brisbane for our annual planning day for work. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. The common areas are spotless, and the rooms are clean. It is is a really handy location not far from the city and public transport is an easy walk away. If you are lucky enough to get a sun room (or book one) then the city view is one of the best I've seen. Yes, there is road noise, but the double glazing blocks a lot of it, and there's always earplugs. It's worth tolerating the noise for being able to stay is such a well maintained room so close to town, shops, restaurants, transport.

Hotel's Favourite
We stayed at the Oaks for almost a month and were very happy with the size of the apartment, the facilities provided and the comfort of the apartment and building in general. It's also in a very convenient location to transport and supermarket and fast food.

The Oaks Brisbane Woolloongabba Suites were well appointed and very close to the Buranda bus and train station making a trip into the CBD quick and inexpensive. The one bedroom suite was quiet, spacious, and had a comfortable bed and pillows ensuring a great night's sleep. For the quality the pricing is very reasonable.

We were given a free upgrade to a larger room which was a nice surprise and very much appreciated. Our room was very well presented and clean with the beds being very comfortable. The location of the Motel gives you great access to Public Transport and the car parking is at a reasonable cost.

I stayed at this hotel because of its closeness to the PA Hospital. Booking was very easy and all my concerns were answered. My room was clean and neat and a/c. The only thing I didn’t like was that the shower floor was very slippery for me and there were no grab rails for me to turn around and hang on to. This is just something personal to me and probably wouldn’t bother somebody younger but because it is so close to the hospital I would expect a lot of mature guests would stay. Also I wasn’t informed about the tunnel work right outside my window and I wasn’t expecting to be woken at 5.00am and continuing. That was a big negative for me. Also the front door of the unit lock I couldn’t tell if I locked it or not because it is not self locking so without any marking to show the position of lock, then I didn’t feel comfortable. I actually live in a resort on the Gold Coast and so our doors automatically lock when closed, which stop any uninvited intruders. I couldn’t get the complimentary wi-fi to work so I just hotspotted off my phone so was no big deal.
Other than those minor items which were a problem for me, and probably not anyone else, the place was clean, spacious and well furnished with a huge balcony as well.
I would not let my experience put anyone else off.

Our apartment was very spacious and tidy, plenty of room to spread out. A quiet location despite the construction, you didn’t hear the noise when doors were closed. Well appointed kitchen, lots of utensils etc.

The staff here get a massive 5. That's my first point and it's important. Superb. From reception, cleaner, maintenance person. Wow.
Cost effective on site parking.
The flat itself was large. Spacious. A bit echoey due no carpet in the living area but a proper kitchen and comfortable beds. A capacious fridge. You could stay here a month and find the facilities sufficient.
Downsides: It advertises Foxtel but the range of channels was restricted. We didn't find anything we wanted to watch that wasn't on terrestrial TV.
No TV in the master bedroom unlike many apartments you can find. Not a huge issue but meant sharing with the kids.
It's getting a very mid rank score from me simply because they don't have curtains or any blackout blinds. They have hand pulled vertical plastic blinds that let in tonnes of light with the result the kids ensured we had no lie in. Some in the living areas also had minor defects so it didn't feel as private as we'd like even though nobody could take a pic of you.
They'd get a 5 if they replaced the placcy curtains and put a few more pictures on the walls to absorb the echoes. Real curtains would help.
If you don't mind an echo and get up early it would be a 5 and I'd recommend it for sure. You don't get value this good closer to the city.

We had to come to Brisbane for a hospital trip to the PA Hospital (very close to the motel) only a 10ish minute walk, which was very handy. The price for that room was worth it. The parking isn't free at this motel, you do pay a small fee, but where you park your car is secure with locked doors. The room it self was lovely, big and bright, lovely big windows. We had booked a 2 bedroom apt, both rooms had king beds and two separate bathrooms. Fully contained kitchen, with large pantry, large fridge and full sized dishwasher. The apt was clean but, the main bathroom wasn't the cleanest in the shower. We had trouble with the aircon in the main area but, the receptionist organised someone to come out and have a look at it for us, which was great. We went for a swim in the rooftop pool, was very nice and relaxing and relaxed in the hot tub. They even had a BBQ area on the rooftop, we didn't use it but, it is there. The receptionists were very kind and helpful.
I definitely recommend staying here and will stay here again if I have to come back to Woolloongabba.

The rooms were lovely and the location was great. Pool and spa were simply amazing with stunning views. Paid for a full equiped room that was sadly lacking in basic items such as frypans and microwave bowls etc. had plans of cooking in our room to safe on costs but really was unable to do this.

Oaks is reasonable for our family purpose, but looking and feeling tired. Service was very good at reception and thanks to Andi for her assistance. She made the arrival process easy and assisted when we found certain items not supplied in the room.
