The ibis Styles Brisbane Elizabeth Street hotel garners a colorful tapestry of feedback. While some guests compliment the hotel's cleanliness and comfortable beds, others have pointed out occasional dust and room size concerns. The staff's service receives mixed reviews, oscillating between commendations for their friendliness and critiques of unprofessionalism.
Nestled in a prime central location, the hotel offers easy access to local attractions, despite some reports of nighttime commotion. Travelers are divided on value, with some satisfied by the rates and others taken aback by unexpected expenses. The ambiance strikes a balance between quiet comfort and vibrant modernity.

It isnt made clear on the hotel website, there is local parking, and it is reduced, HOWEVER, the cost of the car park is already huge, e.g. $10.00 For 10-30 minutes! Overnight is at a discount rate of $38, instead of $56 on Sundays, Google 'Myer Centre Brisbane' for the exact prices.
Parking is at the Myer Centre car park which is just down from the entrance to the hotel on the left of Elizabeth street. Once you find a car park, which isn't always easy, depending on the time of day and the day, you have to get up to the hotel, which means carrying your luggage, when you're already tired and hot, within a hot car park to the lift, and navigate around the shopping centre above, as it's in the city centre, it's always busy, then somehow managing the find where the hotel entrance is on Elizabeth street and finally making it in to reception.
*Note: take a photo of where you parked your car*
The reception staff need to be taught how to smile, there was only one staff member during our whole stay (4 days) that smiled. You can't be working in customer service and not be outgoing and smile. Our room, 2507 (a river room) is on the 25th floor, but this wasn't made clear (What floor it was on), so we went looking, and had to ask. When we did, we were stared at like we were idiots. Also, it wasn't mentioned that we had had definitely booked breakfast, and we had to ask about that too.
Breakfast and coffee at the restaurant was cold by the time you get it back to the table, scrambled eggs were powdered.
The tv in the room would always cut out, it did work sometimes, so we had to watch the tv and movies on our devices, and there's no cold water in the rooms. Charging devices from the radio beside the bed, and the wall also, takes twice as long, as they're not 24v, they're 12V, please be aware of this, but and make sure you bring a wall connector to charge your device, as there aren't many places to charge devices.
On the upside though, the room was clean, there's no reception on the 25th floor, so there's easy access to the hotel Wi-Fi, which is good, the views from the 25th floor over the river are spectacular, the room was made up each day while we were out, and the room service (Which is called 'call and collect' , where you ring the order through, from the room phone, and you go down to the restaurant, on level 1, to collect it) is well priced, tasty, arrives in a decent amount of time, and IS HOT when you get it.
On the whole, I do recommend this as a place to stay, if you're able to look past all the bad things about it. Eat breakfast out, and don't have a car.

Hi there cra075, Thank you for providing us with some feedback on your recent stay. Please do accept my sincere apologies for the confusion around our parking facilitates. I will certainly be reviewing how we advise our guests of the arrangement we have with the Myer Centre as we do want to make the parking process as simple and seamless as possible. I genuinely hope we will have the chance to welcome you back to the hotel when you are next travelling to Brisbane. Please email me directly todd.creighton@accor.com should you be staying so I can take care of a few small gestures to apologise for this experience. Stay Stylish, Todd // GM

From the time you enter the hotel it was very clean and the atmosphere was friendly. The check in was a little slow but because it was new years eve that was fine. The hotel was over half full with guests and everyone wanted to check in at the same time. There were free ice blocks in the check in area for the hot and bothered which went down very well. The standard of the room was awesome it smelt nice and clean and everything was where it should have been , this is the second time we have stayed in the same room in 2 years. The food in the restaurant on the 1st floor was first class it was fresh tasty and a very reasonable price. The dinner we ate and the all you can eat breakfast we had new years day delicious. The service and friendly staff WOW nothing but smiles and happy faces nothing was to much of a bother. William on the bar who I remembered from our last stay was extremely helpful and understanding when it came to a small problem I had before breakfast ( forgot my shoes ) lol. In all our stay at the styles Ibis hotel was enjoyable because everyone we met in the hotel was having the same experience as us. I look forward to staying again when time allows. Outstanding hotel.

ROOM
Room Information
Room number: 2205
This is Room 5 on level 22
Room Type: River View Corner Deluxe
Cleanliness
Overall, the room was clean all over. Clean windows allowed for a perfect view and many photo opportunities.
There was no dust, even in hidden locations like top of tv and top shelf.
Bedding was stain free and not a single mark could be spotted. The bedding was in excellent condition and very comfortable
Most air-conditioning ducts were clean except the one located in the bathroom which appeared to have a build inside it.
In Room amenities
The hotel provided the following in the room:
• Iron
• Ironing Board
• Coat Hangers
• Kettle
• Bar Fridge
• Alarm clock
• Hair dryer
• Safe
• Sugar, Tea and coffee
• Individual milks
• 2 Bath towels
• 1 hand towel
• 1 face washer
• Shower cap
• Sanitary bag
• Conditioning Shampoo
• Shower Gel
• Small cake of soap
Room Servicing
The room was serviced on the Saturday of our stay.
The following were replaced:
• Sugar, Tea and coffee
• Individual milks
• Towels and washer
• Shower cap
• Sanitary bag
• Conditioning Shampoo
• Shower Gel
• Small cake of soap
I am unsure if the bedding was replaced or if the bed was just remade as guests are not allowed in the room during servicing, however, the bed did appear as though no one had slept in it and bedding felt and appeared clean.
Bins were emptied and rubbish removed.

We will often stay at the Ibis if we have a function to attend in the Brisbane CBD rather than relying on Uber / taxis as we live out between Brisbane and Ipswich. We were upgraded to a corner room which great views over the Brisbane River. The room was a good size, modern and clean. The bathroom was small but adequate, though there could have been more storage under the hand basin. Staff as usual were helpful and friendly.

Stayed one night in a corner river view room. Nice clean modern room with comfortable bed. Room size adequate, and not a great deal of storage space, as expected for an Ibis hotel. Air conditioning struggled to keep the room cool when the hot summer afternoon sun was shining on all the windows even with the curtains drawn. Fabulous views over the river to Southbank, and hotel is in a great location being in the midst of the CBD shopping area and easy walking distance to all public transport and the Southbank area. We had the hotel buffet breakfast and found it to be of good quality. All the staff we encountered were courteous and friendly. Nice modern hotel at a reasonable price in the centre of the city. Would certainly stay here again.

This hotel has a service that I don’t even dare calling service. After we checked into our room today, we noticed that the safe was locked (That should be on the checklist for every room before letting guests move in). So we got someone to fix it, but he could not, so they gave us another room. Unfortunately the new room that we got was on top of the local downstairs Irish pub, despite being in the 14th floor, the music in the room was so loud that we could almost sing along with the songs. So I called the reception to change the room again. The duty manager Dolores as so rude saying that we are not allowed to change the room again after this since we already changed it once (due to the broken safe that was their problem) and she also said “you didn’t tell me that you want a quiet room”…. I mean “hello?!?!?” It’s the same if you need to specify in every restaurant that you want your food to be cooked and warm….

We opted for a standard room to keep costs down, and took advantage of a Black Friday sale price, otherwise I would be stating something about value for money! However, the room was adequate, if small for two. The bed was extremely comfortable, with good pillows and bedding. The room was very clean and reasonably functional - one chair for the desk, and rather difficult location of power points, but very good lighting systems. The bathroom was a good size, with an excellent shower and OK towels. The hotel staff were very friendly and very helpful, and the location was excellent - easy walking to the city, and the river. Overall, a successful stay.

I had a 4 night stay at this budget friendly hotel in a King Room.
Location was excellent with Queen Street Mall a block away and there are lots of pubs and restaurants close by. Even Central Station was only a short walk away.
As I had read reviews that suggested the Irish Pub next door is quite noisy I asked for a high floor away from the pub. This request was granted. The room was extremely quiet and had great views towards Southbank and the Brisbane River.
Laundry is on the 4th floor which I utilised once during my stay. Washer and dryers are free and reception will also provide laundry detergent at no cost.
The bar area is on the 1st floor and as a silver member received two free drinks which I consumed here.
The only issue I had during my stay was after fast checkout where I just dropped the room key back as my room was already prepaid I had some unauthorised breakfast charges on my credit card account. I did not aurhorise to have breakfast nor did I have any. Annoyingly it took several calls and eventually an escalated email to the manager before it was resolved.
If the prices are competitive I would be more than happy to return to this hotel.

I wanted to give this a 5, but there is one main issue, the sound from the pub next door that can be heard until about 2am.
The hotel has lovely rooms and we were upgraded for free due to the low season.
Breakfast was great as we had that included.
Recommend, however ask to stay up a little higher or have city views over river views to avoid the pub 'doof' until 2am.

This hotel is in a great location and is clean and modern and the rates are reasonable however you don’t get much for what you are paying. Check in is really awkward if you are driving as there is no where to pull in to and unless you know where the parking is in advance we had to park in a no standing zone further away and walk back to the hotel to find out where to park which it turns out is in the Myer centre. So then you need to cart your luggage through the middle of the shopping centre back to the hotel as there is no dedicated lift from the parking to the hotel. The rooms although clean and modern are not much larger than my sons student accommodation across the river and the decor being bright pink and lime green have a funky student feel about them. Fine if you were staying for a conference or just needed a bed for the night but there is no lounge or pool or gym and the rooms are modern minimalist. The single bed was so small I fell out every time I rolled over! The restaurant was not open in the evening just for breakfast. If you want a late check out they charge an extra $75 so I would have been better off booking a more upmarket hotel which included a late check out and had more amenities. Not bad, I just would chose somewhere different next time.

Hi. I would think 10 minute walk. There is a website called Rome to Rio. If you enter your start and finish points into that website it will give you all the options of how you can travel that distance including how far it is and how long it will take.
This what received from the hotel (feb 2020).
The hotels check out time is at 11am. If available the hotel can offer up to 12pm at $15, 2pm for $35 or up to 5pm for $75 subject to availability
Yes of course
Hello, Thankyou for your question. There is a ‘set down/pick up’ space at Entrance to the Hotel. The ceiling to floor glass entrance with lounge seating gives you the convenience of waiting inside & being able to see your transport when it arrives.
Enjoy your stay. 💜🌹
