Stayed for work for three nights. Close to the airport but in a great location for cafes & restaurants. Room was a good size, neat and tidy with everything that you could need. Had a well equipped kitchen so if you didn't want to eat out at one of the many nearby restaurants or cafes you could cook. Only downside was that the bed room was very warm - there was an air-conditioning unit in the main room but the cool air didn't reach into the bedroom. The overhead fan and pedestal fan in the bedroom just moved the warm air about.

We were meeting 40+ people for lunch as a get to know one another in hope of doing a world cruise next year. It was held at Cruisers alfresco which was such a fantastic place for a meet and greet. The hotel was just across the road, great complex for dining, movies, shopping walk along the Brisbane river. The apartment was very well equipped although we only made coffee as far as cooking as we ate out lunch and dinner. So many extra supplies there if needed. Towels, laundry powder etc, heaps of tea/coffee etc. will probably use again in May for another lunch. Would definitely recommend.

We had a lunch at Portside which and expected to be having a few drinks so we booked a night at Link Portside. Check-in is online and instructions sent by email, easy to follow. The entry is right at the entrance to the portside precinct and right in the middle of the restaurant precinct. Parking is under the building with access directly outside from the lift. Directions provided to me by the office were very easy to follow. Around the corner and down the carpark ramp (a Secure Parking facility). Use the room fob for access. Turn right and park anywhere near the lift. We parked across from the lift and again using the fog went up to our apartment - 2nd floor. Absolutely easy One bedroom apartment, right next to the lift. Plenty of space, all furniture very comfortable. Aircon great. Bedroom also has fan and they provided a free standing fan if needed. Balcony (access from both lounge area and bedroom) overlooks the walking courtyard between the restaurants downstairs so within a 2 minute walk there are at least 10 eating options from quick and easy to upmarket. There is also a Dendy picture theatre. Apartment has dishwasher, clothes washer/dryer, good supply of dishes and utensils etc. Checkout again simple as! Down in the lift, use fob to exit carpark (free), leave fob in drop-box and away we go. Could not fault this stay. Oh - 2 minutes walk along to the riverfront in the afternoon for a view up and down the river then and again in evening for a great view of the city lights. There is also a viewing platform above the picture theatre offering great views of city and river

At the start of lockdown we quickly realised it was going to be difficult to return to the U.K. and we needed somewhere for probably a few weeks. We found the Alcyone and stayed in a beautiful one bedroomed apartment overlooking the river. It was spotless and the staff were so accommodating....nothing was too much trouble.During normal times it would be a vibrant thriving area full of gorgeous restaurants ...in fact everything you could want for children as well....we raved about it so much that our in laws are staying ther next week whilst their home is being decorated and they are very discerning people. Thank you again....we hope to stay again next year and really enjoy your facilities!💕

Sometimes you can be fortunate to meet the most lovely and helpful people. We had booked Link Portside about a month ago for a night to stay before our cruise. We had flown from Adelaide to Brisbane with no problems but during the night my hip began to spasm very painfully. Thinking we wouldn’t be able to cruise I made a doctors appointment and then we approached John and his wife and told them our sorry tale. John so very kindly offered to take me to the doctor who diagnosed tendernitis and prescribed medication for me. In discussions with the doctor we made a decision to move forward. John then drove us to the chemist to get prescriptions filled and then to the cruise terminal. This is certainly going well beyond the call of duty and we are forever grateful for the assistance of all the staff at Link Portside. We also found the property amazingly clean, comfortable and having every comfort you could possibly want. Thank you so much for your kindness. Terry and Jenny AldInga Beach SA
