Detailed Reviews
We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment on the 10th floor which was spacious and clean. It was well appointed with a lovely kitchenette with cooktop, full sized fridge and dishwashing drawer which would have been perfect for a few days stay and being able to cook a meal. The bathrooms were both good sized and clean and there was a washer and dryer in the main bathroom which was also perfect if staying a few more days.
The lounge in the loungeroom was lumpy and uncomfortable and I dare say had seen better days (which was disappointing). Our unit didn't have a balcony but definitely a must for next time.
The bedroom air conditioning in both bedrooms turned off a couple of times during the night which was uncomfortable and claustrophobic and so we both had to get up and try and adjust the air-conditioning,
We both looked for extra blankets in case needed (realistically we didn't) but there were no spare blankets, pillows or anything in the cupboards.
My only real disappointment was the lack of information about the area - I searched the whole apartment for a compendium but didn't find one and so as a visitor I didn't know where to eat or places of interest. The online information via the TV was really limited and quite frankly disappointing. We couldn't even find if there was a restaurant on the premises or spa facilities - I guess not, because we never found them! I think front desk staff should have asked and been more helpful.
There was no breakfast order available other than an offsite delivery from a cafe which didn't open before 8.30am (I really need a proper coffee well before then) so again this was disappointing.
The room service seems to be delivered from outside the hotel and is VVERY limited for any other meals.
All in all, I would stay again and it ticked a lot of boxes for price and apartment and would recommend Alex Perry Hotel & Apartments.

Good morning and thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your recent stay. It is gratifying that on the whole your visit was enjoyable. I will attempt to address the objective observations you have made. In response to current health concerns we like so many responsible operators have removed as many non essential touch points from our apartments as possible, we provide 4 pillows per bed and any extra bedding or information can be sourced by contacting our 24/7 reception, we would hope to be able to reintroduce as many as possible over the coming year. The air conditioning in each apartment is provided by an individual unit and thermostatically controlled in each area of the apartment so will turn off when the selected temperature is achieved. As we know there is so much to do in the "Valley" we believe in pre arrival information hence our website contains vast amounts of local information on daily offerings and special events and also a chat function for any immediate questions, while the key wallet is a fold out map and among other information lists property features. We will now as a result of your feedback update our key wallets on the next printing to more clearly convey our information providing process, thank you. We do hope to welcome you back in the near future

I loved everything about this hotel and would definitely stay here, rather than the Ovolo.
The apartments are modern and clean, beds are comfy and facilites are fantastic. Loved the guest rooftop area with pool. Couldn't fault it ...we only stayed one night but would definitely stay here again and for longer.
The staff were sooooo pleasant! Check in was hassle free considering Covid!
Full sized refrigerator
Coffee Machine and milk
Fully equipped kitchen, good size too!
Comfy lounge and smart TV
Black out curtains
Clothes steamer
Balcony with table and chairs
Lovely bathroom amenities
Parking onsite was $12 per night! Such good value
*would like to see bathrobes and slippers
*missed having a bath
*No casting ability for TV
*bedrooms aren't big enough for the luggage to be open but there's a luggage rack available but would need to be placed in the lounge

I’ll admit at first I was disappointed that I couldn’t order food to my room but when you realize the location of this beautiful hotel you can understand why you would not bother with having a restaurant on site. More money to spend on other things on site. Check in was smooth and easy and the staff were so helpful throughout my stay. Amenities were supplied una way I expect when I pay top dollar for a hotel yet this was cheap in comparison to those places.
I loved the decor and the fact I could relax and watch foxtel for free instead of paying huge prices for movies. Definitely a perfect spot to stay for a relaxing night in. And even if you don’t want a relaxing night in there is plenty to see and do including Emporium across the road with plenty of food stops.
Bed was comfortable, the full-size kitchen was amazing. If I had known I could cook like I do at home I may have bought ingredients hehe I originally booked a studio and was delighted when I was given the surprise of a 1bdrm apartment instead.

Thank you for your comments its wonderful to hear you had an enjoyable stay. Should you choose to visit again in the future please avail yourself of the room service breakfast option or perhaps the delivery menu from local restaurants, as we are a secure building we do not allow outside delivery drivers onto the accommodation. Once again thank you for your kind comments.

I booked two rooms as part of a work Christmas function - the restaurant we were dining at was near by, as are many other popular amenities which make the location of this hotel a plus. But upon checking in we were made to feel so unwelcome by the front desk staff. My team and I work in customer service, and we were appalled. Another downer was that despite booking two rooms in the one transaction, they were on separate floors which was quite inconvenient, and yet when we mentioned this at check-in no effort was made to remedy the issue or even empathise. The rooms themselves were perfectly adequate: clean, functioning, spacey. As I said, it’s a convenient short walk to many restaurants and shops. But again, staff at check-out (different staff) were simply unfriendly. Because customer service is such a big aspect of our lives we felt it keenly, and can’t support it. Unless you were purely staying for something close by and not the actual experience of the hotel, none of us would recommend it.

What can we say, we are truly sorry that our team did not perform to our accepted standard and can only apologize and promise that your comments have been provided to the entire group to consider upon and realize that on this occasion they have failed to provide the type of service upon which we have based our reputation. Thankfully the great majority of feedback represents how we expect our team to perform. Once again we apologize.

On Christmas Day we checked in around 1130am and were 'greeted by Scott. Probably the rudest receptionist I have ever encountered. I felt as though we were inconveniencing him or interrupting his own Christmas lunch.
We stayed 2 nights and found out the hard way that the rooms were not serviced. We placed the 'please service' sign on our door and waited throughout the day to get fresh towel. Due to the fact Scott was again on reception I was reluctant to ask him for anything given the less than welcoming experience the previous day. When a friend asked for towel Scott told him he wasn't sure if they had any. This seemed astonishing since it is a hotel. After a long wait, Scott managed to find a couple of towels for them. The towel were also not replenished around the pool, where used ones spilled out of a bin. Later in the day we found out that due to it being a public holiday there was no housekeeping. I believe this is information that should have been advised upon check-in.
The rooms, I thought were lovely and provided guests with anything they needed in the kitchen. Sadly, the kettle in our room appeared to be missing. The power points in the bedroom were extremely temperamental. The property is located in a fantastic area, which made up for the less than accommodating experience.
Scott, I appreciate it's not ideal to be working on Christmas Day, but moving forward it is essential that you remind yourself that you work in a service industry. Slap on a smile and make your guests feel welcome.

I stayed for 4 nights on the 11th floor in a 1 bedroom appartement with a balcony.
Very good phone reception and wifi.
The windows are sound proof so very quiet. I slept like an angel.
Very clean appartement and has everything you need including a powerful hairdryer!!
The only negative I have to say is that I had my appartement was cleaned only once during my 4 nights stay and the website says daily housekeeping..? Even though I left the sign on the door “please clean my room, they didn’t come. The room next to mine had also their sign up for 2 days but also no success.
I thought I should mention this.
Otherwise, everything was great.

This was our first stay at the Alex Perry Hotel and I will definitely be staying again! Great location, close to everything we needed. Room was big and I love the fact that even a studio room had a washing machine, dryer, large fridge and a stove top. We stayed a Saturday night and the rate was very reasonable. Room was clean and comfortable and the rooftop pool and bbq area was awesome. Great views and very relaxing sitting with a coffee in the morning.

Location: Exceptional
View: Exceptional
Room and cleanliness: Exceptional
Bathroom: Priceless
Please give a BELLS to the person that made the decision on the positioning of the shower mixer. Naturally, one showers with your back facing the water so as to not get water on your face. The problem with the positioning of the mixer is that it it in PRIME position to make an unwanted appearance during ones ablutions. Bend down to wash your legs and feet and WHOOMP! There it is... Right up the butt! And don't forget the cold water too. It certainly made me laugh.

We booked a 3 night stay as caching up with friends from interstate, who also booked here. Okay pros: Easy to walk to James street restaurants and cafes, paid parking underneath, kitchen if needed with all requirements including coffee and tea and washer and dryer in room.
Cons: very dark rooms, small queen bed, small bedroom extremely noisy from outside traffic etc no breakfast included, uncomfortable furniture to sit on, no tv in bedroom.
It’s okay for a night stay but definitely didn’t live up to the hype.
Bathroom tiles needs a good clean, soap scum all over lower tiles, seating furniture is extremely poor choices and quality, the lounge is extremely uncomfortable and dining chairs feel unstable.
Please note no house keeping on weekends, we were not advised, even when we questioned it the staff said look into it, it wasn’t until the next day when we questioned it again we were advised no house keeping on weekends.
This is your peak time, just don’t understand it…
Customer service was below average, we really expected more after reading reviews and the brand.
This is not a comfortable apartment. Very small bedroom, toilet placement very is odd.
There are so many places to stay in this area, which offer breakfast, king bed,Nespresso pod machine in your room etc for the same pricing.
Unfortunately we won’t be returning.

It is disappointing that you did not enjoy your stay, we totally apologize for any shortcomings in tile cleaning in the bathrooms this should not have occurred. Your feedback on this issue has been shared with Housekeeping. While you are certainly at liberty to make personal observations on facilities, colour schemes, inclusions such as breakfast and services; can we just say that with such diversity of product in the market it is always helpful to study the facilities the service information and images provided online and through all booking channels before reaching a decision to make any type of booking.

We decided to stay here because of its great location near James St and a number of shops we were planning to visit over a weekend in Brisbane.
What a pleasant surprise.
We booked a two bedroom executive apartment. The apartment was well furnished, spacious, clean and very comfortable. The staff at check-in were delightful , as were all the staff we dealt with over the two days. Parking on-site is free and secure. There is a roof top terrace and pool. We were able to walk everywhere we needed to visit and there are plenty of great restaurants and cafes nearby.
All in all a fantastic place to stay.
Highly recommended.
