Capri by Fraser is my preference when I stay in Brisbane for business. Although they’re right in the thick of the current construction for the new bus tunnel I found my room extremely quiet and private. The service has always been great, however this stay they seemed to have turned it up a notch.

My room was spacious and clean, a big favorite of mine is that this hotel recycles - which is such a rarity in hotels. They provide a separate bin for recycling and canned water instead of plastic. The rooms come with a Nespresso coffee machine and coffee pods, my only suggestion would be to change over to aluminum coffee pods and to partake in Nespresso’s coffee pod recycling scheme to further increase the hotels positive recycling attempts.

I didn’t get to try the restaurant this time around, however in past visits the restaurant service and food has been amazing.

This hotel is so good it made our short visit to Brisbane one to remember. Beautiful and well equipped rooms with everything you need for a comfortable stay including wonderfully comfortable beds, great walk-in showers (with shower gel and shampoo so good we would have bought some) Staff were very professional and super-friendly, check-in and out were smooth and quick and on site parking was ideal. Breakfast was great and location was just a few minutes from all the city centres attractions and some great restaurants.

The Capri is smack-bang in the Brissie CBD which means it’s close to anything you’d need. I booked the cheapest room in this hotel and what a beauty! The room had the big king size bed that I requested and a 55 inch telly that came on the moment I stepped into the room. The rooms still look brand new and the AC was so efficient I had to turn it off for a bit.

While it was touted as a budget room, you’d expect to pay about $160 to $170, from my experience. I ended up paying about $111 each night and we stayed 2 nights.

Just a heads up, you will pay less if you join their loyalty membership and because I joined, they sent me an early (or belated) birthday gift that gave you 25% off! I’d already booked, so I called and asked if I could still apply this birthday voucher and, yes, they said they could. So, from $258 for two nights, we ended up paying $222.

The hotel is very boutiquey and it’s in very great condition - no mould in the shower stall, no chipped tiles in the bathroom, no staining of the toilet bowl, no chipped corners or discolouration in the paint. I was genuinely impressed.

A most comfortable mattress and luxurious pillows which meant a great night’s sleep.

They have a restaurant but we didn’t use it.

The gym was well-appointed with lots of equipment variety not to mention a spa, sauna, indoor and outdoor pool, and a laundry! Free washing powder, too.

These guys have thought of everything.

Would I stay here again? Yup. You bet!

The Travelmints team was recently in Brisbane CBD for some client meetings, and we needed somewhere to stay. We found that Capri by Fraser was the perfect place for us, as it was located in the CBD, perfect for the location of our meetings.
We stayed in a spacious room, with space for us to get our work done. There's also a mini-kitchen if you're looking to eat in, rather than out. The hotel also has several meeting rooms if you're looking for somewhere quiet to work!
The hotel's amenities are great, with a cozy pool area complete with a sauna and steam rooms, as well as a gym with cardio and weightlifting equipment. Work up a sweat, then go cool down in the pool!
We'd love to see the service improve at the hotel, as there wasn't really a concierge or additional service provided. Once you've checked in, you don't have much contact with the staff. The cleaning could also be improved, as the servicing of the room wasn't maintained to the same standard that we'd expect compared to other similarly-priced hotels.
Nevertheless, we'd definitely recommend staying at the Capri. It's conveniently located, and there's a great view of the CBD from your room. If you're looking for a room that meets your budget while on a work trip, or a base to stay while exploring business, then this will suit you. We'll be staying here again if we're ever back in Brisbane for work!

The hotel was better than expected. The room was fine and spacious, with a microwave and fridge and cutlery and crockery. It also has a very large TV. The hotel has a launderette on the second floor, next to the gym. The view from the room is not great as it looks out on Albert Street. The restaurant (Blackfire – Fuego Nero) is small but the food is well prepared and tasty. The scallops I had were delicious. Breakfast is self-service although you can order fried eggs etc. There’s fresh fruit, various kinds of bread and pastries, scrambled eggs, sausages cereal, fruit juices and coffee and tea. The Hotel’s décor is slightly quirky with two hanging chairs by the lifts and the ambient light of the corridors is closer to a discotheque than a normal hotel. The hotel is very well situated in the centre of the city, so that a great many things are within walking distance.

Me and my partner booked a spontaneous trip to Brisbane from Sydney, buying the ticket at 2am and flying at 7am. It was my first time in Brisbane and our stay at Capri definitely helped make it an incredible experience. Starting from its location in the heart of the city, easy to get to from the airport, just a train ride and a short walk away. Reception was incredibly accommodating with our earlier-than-expected arrival and had us in our room in no time. The hotel was conveniently placed so close to so many of the things we wanted to see and places we wanted to eat, as well as there being unlimited options for car rental for our day drive to the Gold Coast. Did I mention there is a 24 hour pancake restaurant and diner just a 5 minute walk from the hotel? A lifesaver for those late night cravings! It's easy to get around the city with the electric scooters that can be found on almost every corner in exchange for downloading the app and a nominal fee. When resting at the hotel, the Instagrammable swimming pool made for a great way to relax as well as the wet and dry saunas. Although I didn't use the gym, as a regular gym goer I was impressed with their catalogue of equipment compared to other places I've visited. The hotel staff even assisted with our late checkout and they offer a free service for guests to hold their bags after checkout, until we were ready to leave for the airport. All in all a great experience, great service, no complaints, and would definitely recommend!

A striking lobby, friendly staff at reception and a restaurant on-site for breakfast and dinner.

Room was small but very clean, modern, well-equipped and nicely fitted out. I'm very fussy about pillows but they were very good here and the bed was comfortable. Very quiet - didn't hear anything from outside or other rooms.
Complimentary "Frasertini" cocktail was delicious!
Bathroom is really nice with colourful tiles and a great shower.
No good views due to location in a crowded city block but location is very convenient.

This was just a quick overnight stay for an event nearby but I wish I could have stayed longer to try out the leisure facilities. Overall very good value for high quality accommodation.

We booked 2 rooms over Easter as 2 couples, my husband & I and my daughter and partner who were visiting from overseas. The Capri is centrally located and within walking distance to shopping, restaurants and the botanical gardens. The rooms were very clean and modern and the beds & pillows extremely comfortable. Despite being a very busy holiday weekend the staff were very helpful and courteous. We were on the 18th floor and found it very quiet for inner city accommodation & were not disturbed by any external noise. The hotel car park was full but there was additional validated car parking situated very close by that we utilised. The elevators are the best we have encountered and are very quick and you are never waiting long either on the ground floor or the top floor being the 18th floor. I would highly recommend the Capri and will be returning again.

Highlight - Comfy bed and free facilities with the stay
Disappointment - Apart from having to wait a while to shower the first time round. No issues what so ever!

Lovely spacious room and bathroom. Very well mapped out restrictions to align with covid, making sure that all facilities are able to be used (which was the main reason I picked to stay here). Staff were nice an friendly. Plenty of channels on the tv (was a little gutted a TV like that I couldnt cast the nba from my phone), huge bed (2 singles pushed together), mattress was soooo comfy! Hot water took a little while to start coming through first time I was trying to shower. Maybe had to run the hot tap 10/15mins, but each time I used the hot water after that it came through no problem!

Used the pool and gym, very clean. Only drawback was the pool had a heap of chemicals in there (may have been recently topped up), just meant my swim shorts and hair were hard to get the smell out of. But, good that at least I knew the pool was clean!
Would definitely stay again, if I was doing a similar trip. Was only a 1 night stay where I only really left the room for food and a few drinks, or to use the facilities (gym & pool).

We bought a Luxury Escape for Capri by Fraser Brisbane and had a Non luxury experience. The check in procedure was ok and room adequate however lighting in the bathroom was very dull, advertised coffee machine had three pods for a two day stay. Advertised robe and slippers were not in room and the room wasn’t serviced during our stay which is fine, but please tell us so we keep towels dry.
Our main issue was at breakfast ( included) the first morning they had no clue about the Luxury escape package and after insisting that it would be charged to our room relented and agreed it was included. That wasn’t the end, they stated we would be charged for our coffee. I spoke to the male counter staff member told him it was an inclusion that we would have ‘one’ barista coffee each with breakfast however this wasn’t good enough and he insisted that wasn’t the case and we would be charged. To cut a long idiotic story short they all finally realised the inclusions as set out on the Luxury Escapes website and told us they would ‘cover’ the coffees.
This was a small but unpleasant matter and spoilt our stay.
We often purchase these short stay packages and have never come across such unabliging and uninformed staff.
Our lasting impression was a hotel struggling, pulling back on services and lack of staff training.
Will not return.

Dear Barbara, I am deeply sorry to hear about your poor experience at breakfast. While this is a new short term promotion we started, it is obvious there was a lack of communication between our team and our friends and partners at Black Fire Restaurant. We appreciate your feedback and have used your insights to further improve our advertisement and communication in relation to this promotion. Furthermore, please accept my apologies for the missing housekeeping service. I hope we can welcome you again at our hotel one day so we get a chance to change your overall perception on our guest service culture. Kind Regards, Tobias

Our room had no opening windows just air-conditioning. Our room also looked into building next door. We had asked for a quiet room so not sure if the rooms facing Mary Street (which possibly could have more street noise) have opening windows or balcony.
