Ovolo The Valley is a popular choice among guests for its prime location, close to various dining and shopping options, with the convenience of parking being a notable perk. The hotel's staff receives accolades for their attentive and professional service, ensuring a memorable stay. Rooms are large and lauded for their cleanliness and comfort, despite occasional mentions of ventilation concerns.
While some find valet parking costly, the overall value is appreciated, especially with the added touches like complimentary snacks and pet-friendly policies. However, the hotel's pool and gym facilities may not meet everyone's expectations.

Detailed Reviews
I stayed at Ovolo at the last minute when my moving plans were delayed. They were super helpful in organising a deluxe spa room for me for the night and made me feel super welcome after such a stressful day! The spa bath, free mini bar, and complimentary continental breakfast are all super nice touches! They also have valet parking for an additional $45 which is convenient when you don’t want to have to think about parking. Prices were really reasonable and the decor is super fun and luxe! Highly recommend! Did I mention that it’s also in a really central location only a short can ride from the CBD, and a short walk to the Brisbane River?

We were totally spoilt by the folks over at the Ovolo Hotel in the Valley. The Ovolo hotels were already a huge favourite of ours, as we have stayed in several of their unique hotels.
We were upgraded to the Rockstar Room which I can vouch is incredible.
Plush, cool, urban interiors make you instantly feel at home. With trinkets around the room making the normal sterile hotel rooms, seem a thing of the past.
The separate lounge and dining area that feature a brilliant bar, a dining table, cosy arm chairs, speaker unit and original art pieces by Daniel R. Watkins and Gerwyn Davies will have you wanting to stay longer.
There is Chromecast streaming and Alexa speakers to demand a music list to get you grooving. The two bathrooms come with a standalone tub.
We were also spoilt with free Wi-fi and complimentary mini bar. You also have access to a free self laundry, daily social hour (with drinks) and free National Calls. There are SO many complimentary items within your stay it is SO worth your spend.
The staff were friendly and welcomed us beautifully.
This is for the people who like to try unique, cool and modern hotels with a twist. One where you feel part of the family instantly.
Definitely give it a try when next in Brisbane. You will thank me for it.

My wife and I booked a weekend away at the Ovolo “the valley” without knowing a great deal about the product itself or the company. The location was what we wanted for the stay and the hotel rooms looked unique and a nice change to the usual hotel room.
What we didn’t realise until we arrived is that we had happened upon a company that have figured out what the market is in need of absolutely nailed it ! And I mean nailed it, you would be hard pressed to find a hotel that offers such beautifully appointed rooms with great unique style, free mini bar, loads of small attention to detail service offerings all included in your room rate as well as great amenities in a roof top pool and lounge area, sauna and gym. Every staff member from reception to housekeeping and all front and back of house employees where so well trained, great customer service skills and happy to help with anything you needed.
That would be enough to keep me impressed from this stay. However you then realise that this hotels restaurant and bar is excellent, ZA ZA TA has positioned itself so cleverly by doing high quality vegetarian middle eastern cuisine but that’s just the beginning, the food, presentation, decor/ fit out/ lighting is impeccable it’s hard to stay away from the place it’s that good! The chef and the team are absolute wizards, we could not believe how good the food and service was.
The cocktails are so carefully considered for the theme of the restaurant and the menu and again they where impeccable, the bar ambiance is perfect and the team are so skilled and friendly you feel like you could stay in there all night except of the fear of dying from a hangover in the morning.
Truly and unbelievable experience and one we won’t forget in a hurry, can’t wait to stay again!
Thanks to the whole team

I really enjoyed my stay here, the room was bigger than I expected and the decor - while maybe a bit loud for some people - was really cute and exactly what I was hoping for. I have stayed in hotels for a similar price range and they've been drab little personality free rooms, and that can feel like a total waste of money, but this hotel totally lived up to and exceeded my expectations.
I especially appreciated the helpful staff, the robes, the great water pressure in the shower, and that there was a built in chromecast (I brought my own and was pleasantly surprised), the generous wifi allowance (some even more expensive hotels in this city will make you pay for it!) and the free minibar.
I would absolutely come back here (when my bank account allows! But even though its not the cheapest stay, it definitely feels like you get a lot of value for what you pay for) and I highly recommend it.

I have stayed at Ovolo in Melbourne so knew what to expect from this chain of boutique hotels. It was as elegant and unique as its Melbourne counterpart. It’s not your typical hotel. It really is a home away from home. The pool is great for those crazy hot days. The gym is small and has minimal equipment so don’t expect a treadmill or a lot of free weights. There is a good life, 12 rounds close by. Jetts & Anytime branches are a 5min bus away in the CBD. Plenty of restaurants close by and Waterloo Hotel are minutes away. The staff are so helpful and accommodating, we will definitely be frequent stayers when in Brisbane. The room and facilities are superb. The free minibar and snacks is a nice touch, nothing is for free these days. Aldi is close by if you want to purchase your own snacks. The rooms are sound proof, even though you are in a very popular spot for shopping and eateries, you can’t hear the noise. They offer private parking for $45 day which is on the high side so keep this in mind when booking. It is valet service so at least it takes away the burden of trying to find a parking facility near by that you have to then do more than one booking to secure weekend parking (some have a limit of 24hrs). Highly recommend this hotel, you will not be disappointed.

We had an awesome stay at the very cool Ovolo hotel in January 2021, even though our holiday was cut short because of a Corona lock down in Brisbane. Each and every staff member was courteous, very friendly and up to date on the frequently changing news/advice about Covid-19 border restrictions.
Upon check in they recommended local restaurants, lots within walking distance and promptly brought my daily requested bucket of ice to my room. We stayed in a Large King Room 108 which was a corner suite and it was gigantic! I love the decor throughout the hotel it's very arty and cool. The room is decked out with some nice tech; Alexa, Spotify, iPad for room service requests and wall touch button "do not disturb" feature. The room has a private balcony. The housekeeping staff did a great job too, the room was very clean, smelled fresh and was serviced daily. Bathroom with double sinks and large sized toiletries provided. The rooftop pool is lovely even if just to sit by and enjoy a drink. There was a small self service laundry, but one of the machines was out of order at the time of our stay. The only negative was that the machines and dryers were a bit grotty, I think the cleaning of them was overlooked.
Overall an awesome four night stay in Brisbane QLD. I can't wait to come back to Ovolo and stay again.

We stayed for one night in 2 rooms with our family. We both booked large rooms but after checking in realised that we had been given a small room and our daughter had been given the large room size we had paid for. As the hotel was super quiet we were surprised of this. We did asked reception and then they gave us keys for a different room, so we then had to move. No apologies made..
The happy hour advertised is a voucher for a free drink in their bar. The free mini bar contained a small bottle of wine, 2 beers, soft drinks and a few snacks. Parking is $45
The hotel is a bit tired now but good for one or two nights stay.
Breakfast included was great and the service in the restaurant was fab.
View out of our room was the shops across the road so bit disappointing. No balconies.

Seriously these guys got it going on, having to overnight in Brisbane to ensure I got a flight home tomorrow, I arrived in Brisbane at 7am - these guys were so understanding, they allowed me to have a room that was ready, they were so friendly, and understanding. When the world is going crazy, you are away from home these are the people you need around you. So headed straight into their Cafe and ordered a coffee, turns out my Barista was the Manager helping out -I only found this out when I commented on the amazing coffee !! Thank you guys, I have been here before and will be here again. The room is best haven ever - and may just indulge in the free mini bar later ..........

We booked the Rockstar Suite which was very reasonably priced for the offering.
Every detail from reception greeting, to the style and design of the room, wifi, included breakfast, happy hour drinks and food, to in-room goodies was first class.
The staff, their energy and the clear culture resonated through every touch point. Wade was exceptional at meeting all of our requests.

Had a 2 night stay here with loads of free extras (breakfast, mini bar, goodie bag, late check out) and really enjoyed my stay. I was a bit worried after reading some reviews where the guest thought the hotel and staff were trying too hard to be “cool”, but I disagree - it is a cool hotel, with super cool staff.
Decor is terrific, modern and fun. The room was small but fully functional, including a tablet computer, Google home pod (including Spotify playing on arrival), great toiletries and a double glazed window effect (its complicated) which cuts the noise from outside considerably.
You are in a restaurant/shop zone, so if you don’t feel like a walk, restaurants are just a step away, including the wonderful Italian Tartufo which is virtually next door (try it, you won’t be disappointed).
Breakfast (included on my package) was wonderful mueslis, pastries and tea and there were other options available.
The gym is small but the hotel has a free visit arrangement with the Goodlife gym which is 5 minutes walk away down Wickham Street.
The best thing about this hotel? The staff. They must be treated well by management because they treat their guests so well. Everyone I met on reception, as well as the lovely woman in the breakfast restaurant and the mini bar re-stocker (!) was so friendly and helpful. No-one put a foot wrong.
Bravo Ovolo the Valley. I will be back (and having read about the rock star suite, will be upgrading myself to try that out 😎)...
