Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Booked the pet friendly room thinking it would be similar to rooms shown in photos on the website. BIG MISTAKE. Arrived, greeted by a very rude man. Was shown the room and ended up leaving in under 5 minutes. If you want a view of your partner going for a dump from the bed, it would be perfect. I have never seen anything like it. There was a small shower curtain to block the view. There were also dead cockroaches on the floor on arrival. When we let the man know we were not staying he was extremely rude (we let him know politely that the room was not for us and weren't asking for a refund). I am not one to leave negative feedback but I strongly advise people to avoid this place - I was absolutely mortified. We ended up finding a beautiful pet friendly place up the road.

The man I spoke to on the phone is the rudest person I've ever come across.... Was a blessing in disguise that they were booked out for football... When I brought up how rude he was he told me this is how he speaks to everyone.... I was trying to book as we were going on a cruise the next day.... We ended up staying up at the sunshine coast ... Seriously I wouldn't even let my dog stay there... If you want to be treated so badly here is the place to stay ...

Rough as dogs balls. No in room toilets or shower. Across the street from all night BP lit up like a Xmas tree. Curtians dont even cover the windows in full. The road outside is loud and busy til late. Matresses probably bought at op shop. TV kettle and fridge work. Only stayed here for early morning airport drop off, but regretting it already. It is cheap, and you get what you pay for.

Totally awful. Owner was rude and arrogant. The room was in the under parking area, towels were stained. The whole room needed a lot of TLC. Laundry tub for vanity, no where to sit except on the beds. The toilet had a shower curtain to cover it. Fixtures and walls were stained. On the plus side, the room was clean and beds comfy, It was on the corner of a busy street so very noisy.

The WORST business I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with! Disgusting customer service from owner/manager and not at all accomodating given the circumstances. Travelled over 7 hours and due to road closures and road works we were delayed and could not make it to reception before 8pm closing. Just after 8:30 arrived to checkin and was yelled at and abused by manager and refused entry. After a day travelling and extremely exhausted the last I needed was to have a place like that treat me like crap and refuse me a bed. Disgraceful and I will be telling everyone I know to avoid this place.

Absolutely perfect location when travelling with dogs! So affordable and just excellent with the room for our big dog and us. The last thing you want when travelling with dogs is a high maintenance or fancy room. This room had everything we needed and a great location. Parking can be limited with oversized vehicles but there is room nearby and two or three open air parks.

We checked in Friday 2 November 2018 with our dog. Room didn't have private facilities so to be honest that was a bit of a shock to this traveller. However, the shared facilities were absolutely spotless. The hotel room itself wasn't big. The bed was very comfy, and we had a good night's sleep. The room has a tv, a/c, mini-fridge, hand basin with hot & cold water, etc. There was even a small, private balcony off the room. Very comfy. Everything was spotless in the room too. Free wi-fi, and free breakfast daily. Secure parking and limited under cover parking is available. The hidden gem of the hotel is the current manager, Sean. He was very helpful and extremely pleasant with his dealing of us as guests. One thing sticks out. Our friend had left behind a valuable item. We received a phone call from the Manager to say that it was handed in by the cleaner. That alone speaks volumes to me. Definitely can and will recommend this hotel. Plus it is dog friendly. Woof.

The innkeeper was really friendly and the room was clean and spacious! It was overall a very comfortable stay, and I would totally do it again. But do note that the nearest train station was a 22mins walk away, and the nearest ferry a 20mins walk away. There's a bus stop right opposite the inn, but the bus (only 300 services it) takes really long to come, but small issue, considering that we were on a budget anyway.
