We have stayed here twice. Both times in October (2019 & 2020), the first in an executive suite (with spa - but didn’t use the spa so can’t comment on it) for about 4 nights the 2nd in a twin room for 6 nights so stayed there for a decent amount of time (we were visiting family in the area - most probably use it for an overnight stay as it is close to the airport).

The staff are fantastic & very helpful. Rooms are well maintained, have air con, microwave, tea & coffee making & small fridge. We booked directly & it included access to their breakfast room where you can have cereal, toast, juice, tea & coffee.

They also do a cooked breakfast you can order but we didn’t try it so cannot comment.

They also offer an airport shuttle service early in the morning & we have used it both times & it is great (can save you about $20).

The location means there is some traffic noise but it is not too bad. The motel has several shops & cafes/take always/restaurants nearby. A SPAR for conveniences & a fruit & veg market. It is also not far from Toombul shopping centre.

My wife and I stayed at the Motel last weekend. On arrival we were warmly greeted by Dave, the Manager.
Our room on the first floor was spacious and very clean. My wife thought the coffee cups were a perfect size, not too large, or small. The bed was very comfortable and with great pillows.
The motel is in an excellent location and within walking distance (about 10 minutes) from a small but very good shopping centre.
We received excellent service from Dave, who made certain we had everything needed for our stay.
We highly recommend the Motel and would certainly stay there again.

Overnight stay before morning flight out. Everything you need for great nightly rate. Breakfast room is great, self serve juices tea coffee and cereals toast and condiments. Location is just a short walk to restaurants and take aways and if you feel like a 20 -30 minute walk the nundah village taverns and township is just there. Room was basic but clean and not noisy. Will definitely stay again.

This motel is a great place to stay for both Brisbane air travellers and people just traversing the sights of Brisbane. It is close to Asian Restaurants, fresh Market Place and the coffee pick me up before venturing on public or private transport. On your arrival you are greeted by friendly staff that realise you have had a long day. Any question is not to hard for them. As this is my forth stay - rooms are extremely clean and well presented with thoughtful touches, minutes, etc. The fear of missing your flight is removed through the simple process of arranging the free Airport Courtesy Bus. This Motel is worthy of placing in your diary for a future place to stay whilst visiting Brisbane.

What can I say we arrived after hours so had been sent a code to get our keys, happened to be the wrong code so after trying for ten minutes used the phone next to see if the after hours could help. Phone doesn’t actually connect to the after hours as it states. Rang through on our own phone got the correct number and went to our room which was wide open, to our surprise only one bath towel for the two of us. Rang after hours number again and was told probably wouldn’t be able to supply another towel till the next morning at 9am when the office opens.
Dave did come to the rescue with two towels about 10-15minutes after with towels I’m not sure if they’d been brought from home very different to the motel towels (although face washer was black and towels were white so maybe just a throw together scheme).
Rooms are old and dated the exhaust fan in the bathroom didn’t work so had to open window no fly screen, tissues empty box and to be honest the beds are really hard.
Not a great experience, back to the Quest for us.

Normally stay at the Ibis for an airport overnighter, but the rates have gone through the roof, so tried Airport Clayfield Motel for the first time instead. Had a double on the the third floor facing busy Sandgate Road. Friendly host, but mention of the secret luggage lift would have saved lugging bag up the steps.

Room was fairly basic (if you compare with the Ibis!) and traffic noise levels not too bad, but guess accommodation to the rear would have been a bit quieter. Did have a very noisy neighbour though. Small, yet attractive pool area out the back.

No pickup from airport, but a handy 10 minute drop off minibus service which starts at 6.45am. If you fancy nipping into the CBD there is a handy bus stop bang outside. Overall, adequate for one night.

Friendly staff, rooms well presented. We were in Brisbane for a wedding and the room was quite useful because it had a full-length mirror with spotlights above it so we felt like we had a professional dressing room. And to improve my appearance I simply turned the spotlights off.

Not sure how this rates at 4/5 .We travel frequently, have previously enjoyed budget accommodation so are not over fussy .We tried to phone x8 in over 1 hr to check about shuttle ,eventually were told take a cab .Actually no shuttle just early am drop off . Arrive told you are early,I,m too busy to answer phone you can sit on bench outside tiny office , facing very noisy busy road or go for a walk along said noisy rd .With no proper lockup for luggage I stayed on bench . Property very tired ,furniture also .Asked for xtra pillows Dave said- later I,m too busy ,3hr later, again requested ,eventually brought by nice receptionist .Towels med size and old ,sign says any marks on towels gets a 12$ charge !!! After very little sleep ,noisy road ,we pile into van ,many people much luggage ,very uncomfortable and I,m sure not up to road code .So all in all not a good stay !!

Firstly, it isn’t close to the airport but about 8km away.
In fairness the do offer a drop off service.
Our room was refurbished but suffered from some road noise.
The fridge was noisy too.
A light breakfast was included but we hurried off so didn’t avail ourselves of it.
There are a few restaurants within a few minutes and they will offer you something, eg a free glass of wine, on presentation of the room key.
Clay field Railway Station is across the street.

We stayed there for one night. The units are a bit dated but amazing super clean. Furniture does not have any chips or scuffs and bed was comfortable. Close to shops and restaurants. Shuttle bus to airport and port. Staff returned phone calls which is a bonus and were helpful. Will stay again.

My advice is to contact the motel directly From our experience you will need to take a taxi from the airport to the motel. I think it cost us under $20 Australian. The hotel does a shuttle to the airport but not from the airport. The owner is very accommodating and a great communicator. If your flight departs at 6.30am that would mean a 5.30am check in time and a 5.00 departure from the motel, which might be a bit early, but again check with him direct. Kind regards Andrew

Yes, there is 24hr check-in, there in a key safe that they use after 8pm. If you phone Steve he'll be happy to look after your needs, I'm sure. They are very obliging.

how far from airport and was there free shuttle to and from the airport
Answer from Diddicoy

Make sure you book the night before, it is a small cost that can be included in your hotel account. As the shuttle goes round a number of hotels allow for time of day and these pickups so 15-20 minutes to airport
