Check in was easy and parking is reasonably priced and convenient. The location is great with lots of great cafes and restaurants and easy walk away.
The hotel itself looks 20 years older than what it probably is. I don’t think I have ever stayed in a dirtier apartment. Every door handle looked dirty and given the recent Brisbane Covid cases I would have expected a hotel to feel cleaner than ever.
Housekeeping needs some major training.
One cupboard had quite a bit of alcohol left behind by the previous guests. Lucky I wasn’t a recovering alcoholic!!!
We had 4 light bulbs that needed changing (in an already dark apartment).
The air con in the master was set to 18 degrees all week and felt like it was on about 24 degrees. The clothes Dryer door latch was broken and so it stopped working every 5 minutes. There was One towel hook in the en-suite. Not ideal when the apartment isn’t serviced daily with fresh towels. And the mould in the shower was next level disgusting.
This was not a true 2 bedder apartment as there were sliding glass walls onto the living area which wouldn’t be great if you we trying to put young children to bed and stay awake watching tv in the living room (also the tv remote was broken).
Overall an unfortunate experience. If housekeeping can be improved and maintenance performed regularly it would be a great place to stay.

We stayed five nights at 16 Merrivale, and were impressed by how large and well-appointed our apartment was. No need for a car, as we were conveniently located close to restaurants and attractions on South Bank, as well as the CBD, bus interchange and train station. Highly recommend “Sweet Morgan”.

We have recently spent 4 nights at Morgan Suites, and it was pretty good!
We arrived very early, around 08:00, we did advise them ahead and when we arrived, we met with Monique at reception and luckily for us she got us into our room straight away, which we weren't expecting, which was so good.
We were on the highest floor, floor 10, in building 16, room 1002. Nice big self-contained apartment, nice view overlooking some of the city. They don't service the rooms which is fine, but we did need to ask for more coffee, dishwasher, washing powder etc, which we didn't mind. The room, wasn't the cleanest it could be, but nothing bad... What was a pain though, was the tumble dryer didn't seem to work for us, on the last day when we needed to dry our clothes, they did send up a mechanic and it started to work, but then it didn't again and to be honest we didn't want a mechanic in the room anymore as our stuff was everywhere, so we just used the clothes horse and Monique was very helpful, offered us a dryer in another room and gave us a bottle of wine.
Also, on the last night, the fire alarm went off at 02:00 in the morning, that was exciting, everyone evacuated easily and apparently it was due to the rain?!
Morgan Suites is really close to Southbank attractions, walking distance and we would definitely stay again. We were a bit disappointed in the 'gym' which we reported but apart from that, yep, all good.

Hi saltyskins, Thanks so much for your review of your stay.I do apologise that there was an issue with the dryer in your apartment, and glad Monique could source access to another one for you.Glad you enjoyed our location and took advantage of everything in our area (which there is plenty of things to see and do) and the many dining options.

Location and room was excellent but three weeks later they try to deduct $100 ‘cleaning fee’ Room was left immaculate and every dish clean and sparkling, beds stripped etc. Be very very aware and take PHOTOS and check your bank account. We stay in Brisbane often and can guarantee we could get references on how clean we leave the room. We believe because we got a good price they are trying to find a way to charge us. Do not trust them, no one answers the phone, no one cleans your room even though we were entitled to one clean. (8 night stay). Now i have to go through the bank to dispute claim. All i can say is take photos wherever you can upon vacate as they just lie. I have to physically fly back to brisbane to confront them. Avoid them at all costs.

Photos make these suites look spacious, they are not. The 2 bedroom city view of the railway line and back of buildings, was not big enough for 4 people. The lounge was for 2 whilst the tv was for a 5 year old child. Whilst it was clean, i couldnt help thinking about people who actually live here in what was a most uninspiring atmosphere I have experienced. Totally boring. Close to Museum but a fair hike to main strip of restaurants. It was cheap enough but would rather pay extra for something bigger and with some pizazz. Coffee next door good. The beds are singles pushed together with timber down the middle.

Hi BATTYNATTY99, We always appreciate feedback, and we are sorry if our property did not suit your individual needs. However, Our apartment facilities are excellent (not even sure what a tv for a 5 year old is????), and our location being 12min walk to South Bank and 15 min walk to the city, is prime. Anyway, thanks for your opinion.

I’ve stayed at a few places in the city and this is one of the best so far. It’s close to train stations, food and lots of bars. It’s a short cheap Uber to Queen street mall and star bucks which I love. The parking is very reasonable at $15 a night (nice) the rooms are great. New style and very clean. The best part about our two bedroom apartment was the TV in the bedroom and aircon. 😀 the security and the facilities to put trash in slip bins is a bonus. I highly recommend this place. Great for families or even groups of people travelling.

Located near Southbank so close to lots of great restaurants. The unit has everything we needed, including a stove, washing machine and dryer. It is excellent value and very comfortable. There is plenty of parking (additional payment) which is essential in the city. Highly recommended

NEVER AGAIN;
slats missing from verticles.
Mildew in shower... had to shower with thongs on.
Bed linen looked like it had just been pulled up.
Unknown substance on doona.
Dirty marks: finger prints on walls, air conditioner. Something sprayed on wall in loungeroom & in bathroom.
Washed sheets myself so I knew they were clean.
watermark from glass on stove top.
Couldnt wait to come home.

We stayed during April 2021 (2 adults, 2 children) and the unit we were in was just great. Very clean, quiet and spacious. We arrived early and we were so pleased that our room was made available a little earlier. Lovely customer service and a great location. Our balcony did look over the railway line but there was no noise from it in our room and we quite enjoyed watching the trains go past while having breakfast on the balcony. Thanks for a great stay!

I stayed at Morgan Suites a few years ago and I was looking forward to my return. Unfortunately from the moment I walked in the door there was issues. The first issue was that the internet didn't work. I asked reception and they said they would fix it. It wasn't. Then I found out the main tv wasn't working and there was no remote for the spare tv in the bedroom. The shower was extremely mouldy (disgusting). To top things off my lift pass didn't working coming back into the building at 10.30pm. I pressed the emergency button and no one was there. I ended up staying one night not two. When I went to check out I was ensured that I would get at least one night refunded. I had to fight them for it. I did eventually get back most of the one night that I didn't stay and they only admitted to the room not being clean. There was no attempt to offer me another room or solve the issues.

Hi, there is secure parking underneath the building which we are happy to pay extra for to have peace of mind.
Hi, yes there is a BBQ to the left of the pool area. I can't remember what floor it is on but I definitely remember there being great BBQ facilities.
Hi, we also paid by card at check in for our 2 night stay. we weren't asked for any bond.
Hi. Parking was extra. We paid $15 for one night so quite pricey
