Had a ground floor room which was very convenient. Room was clean & comfortable but lacked any form of lounge chair to relax in. Location is within 10 min of airport & has a train line right opposite so there is some associated noise to deal with but it didnt bother me too much.
Bathroom reasonably modern but door cant fully open as blocked by the loo. Was flying solo so no real issue but if family rooms are similar can envisage issues.
There's a Woolies supermarket (Ascot) about a 7-8 minute flat walk & a good cafe (Vito's Cucina & Bar) in the same complex that serves good food & more importantly good coffee & is well priced.
Served it's purpose for a quick sleep & rest but would probably look elsewhere if staying longer.

Now the bad. We didn't get much sleep at all due to very unruly male residents in the back units, neither remotes for the aircon or TV were working and there was very minimal kitchen equipment.
To flag as well, the Doomben train station was closed on Sundays and public holidays, so factor this into your plans. There are multiple bus stops along the street though as an alternative.
They put my card through only the night of my arrival and cancelled my booking! I realized I didn’t have enough money for the transaction to go through, but a simple transfer would have worked very quickly if I had been warned at least a few days before, and not minutes before I landed.
So after a 24h flight and a 2 day trip from France, I was stranded at the airport and had to spend the night there, as hotels were fully booked and it was too late to book online somewhere else for this night.
This way of dealing with bookings and customers is disgraceful and I will definitely never book again a night at Airway Motel.

Check in was smooth and easy.
Room was reasonably priced & clean.
We got the "family" room with 3 beds and it was spacious and clean, bathroom was clean and had been updated at some point.
Outdoor space was nice and the pool was refreshing.
Only downsides was no blankets on the beds, just the top sheet and the coverlette, the curtains didn't block a lot of light out and no fan or vent in the bathroom.
Mattresses will need upgrading soon but was still comfy enough to sleep on.
Would def stay here again if in the area
It is a Motel not a Hotel and was more than adequate for my stay I would recommend it if you are looking for a spacious quiet room for the night or a base for a few days.
