The hotel's location is pretty good. While it is not right near the Central Station, it is about a 15 minute walk. However, if you have luggage with wheels, make sure you take the elevator/lift down to the Anzac Square level and use the pedestrian bridge over Adelaide Street to Queen Street. It is a steep hill if you walk on Edward Street. With the Cross River Rail open, there will be a station right near the hotel on Albert Street (but transfer will be at the Roma Street Station, it seems).

The hotel is right around the corner from the Albert Street pedestrian mall, a short walk away from the casino, the City Botanic Garden, River, etc. The soon-to-open Kangaroo Point Bridge will also be near the hotel.

The hotel building and lobby reminded of those "thin and tall" hotels in NYC. The staff was very friendly and efficient - whether at the Front Desk, Restaurant or Housekeeping. It seems it is owned by the same operator as the Westin next door since the DND door hanger had Westin on one side and Four Points on the other.

My room was not big and it faced the residential buildings across the narrow Mary Street. However, there is enough cabinet, bench and desk space to lay out the stuff comfortably. I wish it had another chair and more USB outlets. There is a mini refrigerator. The bathroom has an interesting design where the shower sliding door slides over the toilet. There is also a 2nd sliding "window" that can open to the bedroom over the bathroom counter. The fogged glass on it might make some non-solo travellers feel uncomfortable with privacy.

My big problem was the room smelled damp the moment I went in. There were also these little bugs flying around - especially in the shower. My guess is they came through the bathroom exhaust pipes (I was 20+ floors up). They were there every day despite me trying to get rid of them. The shower water is also not very stable when it came to temperature. If it was not this, I would have given it a 5 star.

This hotel seems to cater to Asian tourists - there were slippers and tooth brushes in the room. The breakfast had Japanese Miso and Chinese porridge - plus a machine that squeezes fresh orange juice! Also freshly cooked eggs. It was very good although the price is A$40.

As a side note, the way the nuts and cereals are dispensed there might not be the most hygienic - the "cap" of these bottles were a big soft wooden ball. So if the bottles are filled, the ball touches the food. Since people can end up touching any part of the ball, who knows what germs can get onto the food.

I really don’t get the bad reviews. I have nothing but good things to say about Four Points. We arrived early (1pm) and we were checked in on the spot, took less than 5 minutes. Room was perfect, clean, new and exactly what you expect. No view but who cares. We went next door to the pool bar (need a different key to access the Westin which was easy to get) and so happy we paid half the price to stay next door as we spent that extra money on cocktails! Coffee shop on premises downstairs as well a 24/7 yiros/kebab shop two metres away. Only slight annoyance with the hotel was we had to wait half an hour for our car from valet for check out, however it was because the boys were helping another couple before us change their tyre. That’s definitely above and beyond so we didn’t mind, because if it was us we would have appreciated it too. Oh and people suck, sorry but when you come to the hotel floor at 2am shut the hell up when going to your room. People are so inconsiderate and obviously horrible to leave this place such horrible reviews.

This one of those Bon Voy products that is a little difficult to review as it has its truly good points, which one has to weigh against the not so shiny parts. This is a tower type hotel immediately adjacent to the sister product the Westin. If I had to summarize the four points offering, it's really just a room with little else on offer. The rooms are spacious, but getting old and its not exactly full of great views. They lack enough plug points and in my room, you couldn't fit an international adapter into a socket without unplugging whatever device is in the other plug. Oh, they only offer Australian plugs, so you meed that adapter! Breakfast is pretty average, served on the first floor. No bar or lounge. As a guest you do get use of the Westin pool facilities and gym. The hotel seems to dominants cater to airline crews and military (US mostly). This is where a downside of this hotel comes in. They only have two checkout staff on at peak hours so it can take a long time to get to the desk. Not ideal.

However, you are getting what you pay for as it's price point is very competitive for the area, being immediately adjacent to Queen Street Mall.

Valet parking. So if you're just looking for a room, go for it. If you want the full hotel experience with amenities, not so much.

Convenient location and the room was pleasant but it looked directly into neighbouring units so there was zero privacy. The air con turned off during the night and the room became extremely stuffy. The pillows are absurd, more like the sort of permanent cushions that form the back of some lounges - way too overstuffed and thick. Sure they look nice when the bed is made but they’re hideously uncomfortable. Slept badly as a result. Foyer is best described as a perfunctory space, with horrible plastic chairs. Probably wouldn’t stay here again.

Dear bellatriix, Thanks for taking the time to provide feedback following your recent stay at the Four Points Brisbane. Firstly, please accept my sincere apologies for what was a very disappointing experience, whereby we clearly failed to meet the expectations of a hotel of our calibre. The convenience and comfort factor of our guests is our top priority and in this regard I was most concerned to learn of the disappointment caused as a result of the problems encountered with the air conditioning and I sincerely apologise for your discomfort and the frustration caused. Our maintenance team will investigate further as a priority. Disappointing also that you found our pillows uncomfortable which also impacted on your sleep. We do have a selection of pillow types available via our Guest Services and Housekeeping departments. Again our apologies for this less than perfect experience. We do hope that you will stay with us again on another occasion to prove that we are capable of much better and to restore your confidence in our brand, product and service. Kind regards Kelvin Ramm Cluster General Manager

I stayed here last year and loved it but not so much this time.

On arrival, we found a syringe lid in the fridge, piece of plastic on the floor which has been here for 5 nights of our stay and a used razor in bath tub.

Room service drinks arrived - no wine by glass, stupidly overpriced cheese plate and a $14 juice which leaked all over the table.

The lounge was fraying and had seen better days.

Power blackout one morning albeit briefly and a few water issues.

We had two interconnected rooms (suite with kitchen plus room) which were spacious.

Check in was easy and the location is great.

Bed comfy but pillows are not ideal.

Dear Wander599441, Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback following your recent stay at the Four Points by Sheraton Brisbane. We very much appreciate your feedback as it continually allows us the opportunity to review and improve our service and facilities. I was disappointed that we failed to meet your expectations. This is not what you would expect from a hotel of our calibre and obviously we fell short on a number of occasions which has impacted on your stay. This is not at all typical of what we strive to achieve here at the Four Points by Sheraton and indeed we must do better. Your feedback has been discussed with our Management team and it has been reiterated the importance of high levels of service in this industry to ensure that we go the “extra mile” for our valued guests. I realise that we cannot turn back the clock on your disappointing experience however, we do value your support and patronage and hope that you will return on another occasion to give us the opportunity to prove that we are capable of much better and to restore your confidence in our brand, product and service. Kind regards, Danny Low Executive Assistant Manager

I’m all about sunlight inside rooms, and while I do appreciate all the many windows to make the room cheery, the location of some of them were strange. I kept my shades drawn because of this, which made the room darker. First, there is a floor to ceiling window right next to the toilet, and you have a great view of the building next door. Second, when you lay in bed, there are floor to ceiling windows again with perfect views of the adjacent buildings. Living in New York we leave our windows open all the time, but these windows were too close to the building next door. It would nice to have drapes instead of blackout shades so the view can be somewhat distorted instead of blocked out completely.

Overall the customer service and location are great! Although the breakfast wasn’t worth it.

Dear BoysInNY, Firstly, thanks for choosing to stay at the Four Points by Sheraton Brisbane and pleased you found our level of customer service met your expectations and you also took advantage of our central location for exploring the city. I appreciate your comments in relation to the windows and coverings in the guestrooms and they are very valid and certainly taken on board as I can understand that black out blinds are not to everyone's liking. Thank you again and we do hope we have the opportunity to welcome you back again. Kind regards Brad Mercer Complex General Manager

Room was clean, modern, not too spacious but ok for a single person or a couple. Desk could be bigger given its CBD. Windows in the room placed in very strange locations, eg right next to toilet seat or next to bed. It's also noisy at night due to the hotel being in front of a construction site
Room service was ok but the food was not worth its price, wouldn't order again.
The breakfast was mediocre, food was ok but you would need to wait 10-20 minutes for it to arrive, ok if you on a holiday, not ok if you are on business

3 nights out of 6 our room was not made up-for two of those three it was never made up despite our requests. The third night (tonight) we are on our third call for basics like towels, dirty cup removal and provision of morning coffee. They may arrive while we are out for dinner - fingers crossed! This is no way to run a hotel.

Poor, lousy in room dining! I ordered the Fish and Chips but the fish and chips looked like the chef just bought it from the Food court next door. I strongly believe the food court serves better Fish and Chips. The Fish and Chips is a total disaster!

The menu stated “Beer battered fish fillet, salad, and lemon tartare sauce” but the salad and tartare sauce were missing! I had to call 3 times and only after a good 20mins later that I received the missing salad and tartare sauce!

After a tiring day at work, what a hotel guest wanted is a nice meal before resting. But this in room dining experience certainly made my stay an awful and unpleasant one!

I often stay here during quarantine and every time I feel like I am in a worse place than prison. They claim to be "covid safe" but there are areas that haven't been cleaned forever.
Now about the food...prepare to have your worst experience. The food is absolutely terrible. You ask for your food through a QR code and most of the time the order gets lost in between. I am currently waiting for my dinner that I've asked for almost two hours ago. Even if you ask for uber eats brace yourself to wait half an hour to have your order brought from reception to your room.
There are no good days here. Some of the staff seem exhausted of complaints but things are only getting worse.
Windows don't open and the view is as claustrophobic as the room itself. The carpet is always full of dust and the bathroom always smells.
Every time I'm praying not to be allocated to this hole on earth that is this hotel. Treated worse than animals.
For one or two nights is average but 14 days? Hell no.

I would take the municipal bus that gets you right to Lone Pine. I think it was $5 Aus per person round trip for the bus. You can get tickets to the park at the theatre in town ($42 Aus per person). The bus stop is a block away from there. We did it on our own and was really easy this way.
