Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Food seems stale now. Bad coleslaw and fries. I really couldn't eat the parmy and chips. Isn't that usually delicious? Profit seems to be the main objective. There are no complimentary sweets or biscuits or coffee at pokies. Perhaps this went with covid. I'm sure the marketing employee will try to write something to save face but please don't bother. We are not local idiots but do know good food from bad. Your clientele will be budget people because you have no care for quality.

Went with Mum and Dad, so three of us. Disgraceful service, staff who had no idea, could not give change, $85 for three pub meals, two of which were cold and served with an excuse that they had been taken to the wrong table, third meal then hurriedly thrown together afterwards. Offered a foc bottle of wine, but hardly the point when lunch was just about over, and wasted on only two people who had finished drinking by then. So refused it. If your bar girl cannot open a bottle of champagne, she should NOT be behind a bar.

Very comfortable night in this motel-style accommodation tucked around the back of the pub and dining venue - beds were super comfy and rooms are well appointed. Dinner at the pub was excellent - good value and generous servings - thanks for looking after us.

Wow has this place deteriorated. We were warned but had always enjoyed our meals here. Ordered the meals and was overcharge by $40! Had to query this! Got our nachos. It was as a generous serve of corn chips, spread with tomato paste (yes PASTE straight from the jar), some melted cheese, 3 dollops of bottled, highly preserved guacamole, 2 dollops of sour cream like stuff, some pork (not pulled as per description) in a sauce with an underlying unpleasant taste and the tiniest sprinkle of salsa. Really can’t understand how someone can stuff up nachos so badly; it’s an insult to Mexican food. This was washed down with a $6 glass of soda water. I left half of the food but still had stomach pains 24 hours later

Every time we go the restaurant slips a little bit further towards terrible in regards to food and service. Feedback to the restaurant doesn't make a difference and there is no response from the restaurant manager. Plenty of better options available in the area.

Attended Melbourne Cup Lunch Paid in full weeks ago to secure booking Told I could have a table for 8 but not 10 so assumed booked out Venue not busy at all “BUBBLES ON ARRIVAL” never arrived. Short conversation with English accented woman who didn’t believe we were entitled to any such thing. The advertisement from your website printed and clearly visible on wall showing the deal Eventually a waiter turned up with bubbles and obviously no other tables had not been served either. Witnessed 2 women given gift baskets for best dressed Any other Melbourne Cup Luncheon I’ve been to it is the guests who vote for the parade of well dressed women as to the winner The Variety Club people selling sweep stake tickets went around the crowd to sell them When people at our table wanted to collect winnings they’ve left the establishment Given a phone number to ring and chase up !!!! We enjoyed the day last year Will be seeking alternative venue next year

Attended the 2 course lunch for $55 pp with bubbly on arrival with friends. Their was no atmosphere or ambience for the days celebration. Drinks prices on the listed menu were a higher price to the actual price. When question I was advised that the higher price is what I had to pay and that they were waiting for their new menus. Sorry, but I am not sure the ACCC would agree. Bubbly was not given on arrival but after we had finished our two courses and purchased the drinks. There will be no return visit for us.

Booked in for 12 nights for work. Older rooms but clean and comfy, quiet and large. No complaints and the staff were great. A 50m stroll to the bistro which offered a great menu and there was a 50% off promotion at the time so great value there as well.
