Firstly the Mercure and Pullman are served by the one reception. They are just seperate towers. We arrived for our 2 night weekend stay at 1pm paying $35 for an Ola from the airport. The check in counter was busy, we waited about 10 minutes. We were told our room was not ready but as an Accor member they had rooms set aside (we didn’t get any other Accor privileges as we booked with Expedia, however Expedia was cheaper then booking direct). We had room 410, which has been renovated nicely with a small window overlooking an old church and King George Square. The bathroom was compact but functional. The room was exactly like the pictures. Linens were good and included face washers. Soap, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner are supplied. A request for body lotion was attended to quickly by Housekeeping (obtained from Pullman). There is a laundry on floor 4. The rooftop pool is small and services both hotels. The rooftop bar has good views but drinks are a bit expensive. It is not open on Sunday. Another bar and restaurant were downstairs but close early. Buffet breakfast is $39 per person, so we didn’t bother, paying $115 per night for a hotel room but $78 for breakfast seemed extreme. Great location with a short walk to Queen Street Mall. Roadworks downstairs made finding the hotel drop off and entry a little confusing, however no noise was heard from the room.

This is a great location to Queen street mall and the bars and casino. We got the room on a deal for an extra $1 per person per night would include buffet breakfast, which was amazing offered a wide range of food, juice and coffee.
Only bad thing was the room did have a bit of a smell in it from the drains.

Being back on the road again, all be it at a reduced capacity, was a fabulous feeling. As an Elite member of the Accor brand, I had personally missed the interactions and experiences one gets to enjoy. I was also a little curious to see how the new world of travelling was going to look like. I drove not flew this trip as flights for me are not a reality quite yet !!!! However the hotel experience was pretty much the same if you take into consideration things have just started to re-open. My welcome was warm, I was very generously upgraded given my Diamond status and the Goldfinch Restaurant looked after me with lots of hot coffee and great food. I do love this hotel, it has great positioning as I can walk everywhere. Work wise I can easily manage my travel budget by choosing the Mercure side and for leisure I always go Pullman side - everything you need really in one handy place !!!! Sanitation around the hotel was plentiful and I know that in the coming months there are a lot of new Covid friendly initiatives coming. I didn't give Covid another thought to be honest once inside the hotel. In these times we just need to all be respectful of our changing times and work with al the staff to ensure we adhere to current restrictions. Awesome stay and cannot wait to be back x Thanks everyone at the hotel it was fabulous.

Let me start the story but saying I had to stay here for two weeks Covid quarantine due to the fact that I was working in Melbourne.

The first day I arrived to this hotel they had all our towels, soap, shampoo and so on ready for two weeks. Ok not Behd.

Electrical appliances was only a kettle, some glass, cutlery, No microwave and a POS fridge that did not keep anything cold.

While walking around my room I noticed that the main aircon vent for the room had not been cleaned out since the dawn of time. It had that much dust that when it was on, your room would be covered in dust straight away. No room windows could be open as they had all been locked ( maybe they thought people would escape from level 12 by jump off or something. ) Fknows

We got thee meals a day. On some days the breakfast was great and on others absolute cabbage. The lunches where too small and not enough to fill you up to the point where you are so hungry you would have to use Uber more times then you can count just to fill yourself up. The dinner loves to be drenched in 4L of oil and salad so small a rat wouldn't be full from it.

But the best part is they wound not give you a bottle water for any meal, just a one off when I first got there. We where told to refill it using the tap in the bathroom. Classy

The coffee was provided in the morning with breakfast but only two satchels of the legendry Blend 43. Not 4 or 5 satchels, only two a day. The blend must be rare at this hotel maybe they only get 43 satchels a day.

The pillows where rubbish and old, the TV remote didn't work. I had to used my own battery for it to work. Maybe they spent to much money on the Blend 43.

This place is a joke. If you going for a one night stand, staying from other town and got it the hotel for a very I say very cheap deal why not but more then 2 days no away.

I would call this a 2 star hotel and will never stay at any Pullman ever again.

if you do stay, just check you A/C vent

This hotel is in a good location, in walking distance of shops and close to public transport, but everything is else is pretty much a disaster.

When you walk in to the hotel, the lobby looks great but service on the reception desk is very basic and not welcoming. There is also no free WiFi anywhere in the hotel, you have to pay $10-15 for 24 hours usage.

The rooms are seriously dated and don’t seem clean. I was put in a room which I assume was subject to some sort of leak or water damage as it stank of damp to the point I was actually searching the room for black mould because that’s what it smelled like. I was moved rooms and even the new room had a damp smell, although not anywhere near as bad as the first. There are noticeable stains on the seats, curtains and carpets, and rust in the bathrooms.

Breakfast is just as bad, with absolutely no order. It is a buffet style breakfast, numbers are clearly not limited to facilitate social distancing, Children everywhere running around touching everything and not enough staff clearing tables so customers were clearing tables themselves to be able to sit down.

If you can avoid this hotel then do so. Probably the worst hotel I’ve stayed in and won’t be back here again.

The pool was revolting. Totally murky, couldn’t see your own legs, full of hair and other floaties. I alerted reception. She said oh I’m surprised because it gets cleaned every day and that she would organise someone to come clean it. Well it looked exactly the same the next day so we told the kids it wasn’t open so we could avoid it. Judging by the filthy gutters it rarely gets cleaned. Plus it was tiny for the amount of people. Pictures werevery deceiving.
Hotel rooms are old and tired, the lifts and corridors smelt and the room didn’t look overly clean.
Wouldn’t stay again.

We stayed at this hotel for one night, we booked a room with 2 queen beds. When we pulled up to the hotel and went into the foyer it was very impressive, check in was easy, then we went to our room its was on the 11th floor, the carpet in the lift was dirty our room was meant to be city view most of the view was a building site. The room was old and tired when you walked in you could smell that old stale smell, the bathroom was a shower bath in one the bath had warn marks which looked dirty the hand basin was old and worn, the curtains looked like they had been up their for years. The pool area was too small for the amount of quests, the seating area is not well set out guests had no where to sit, the tables were old and marked which need replacing, The only positives was that the staff were pleasant and the foyer was very nice and the location was good. Its not about the price its how the hotel looked on the booking sites and their website, I would not stay at this hotel again unless they did a revamp.

Check in and check out staff were pleasant and efficient.
On check in, the female staff member tried extremely hard to find a room with a walk in shower.
This was appreciated.
As a Platinium Accor Plus member, very little recognition was made of this status at check in.
There was no offer of a room upgrade or a later check out.
The room was a three star standard and needed a refurbishment.
The bedding and pillows were comfortable.
There were no comfortable chairs for seating.
Complementary buffet breakfast in the restaurant was a surprise with many choices of hot and cold food. Excellent service in this restaurant.
This hotel is in the CBD.
It is close to public transport and all retail outlets.
If you just need a basic hotel for a short stay, this is the hotel for you.

Booked for last minute one night stay, was given 15th floor executive room. Very small and bathroom was tiny, could barely move in shower without hitting shelf. We were directly below the rooftop bar/pool. Upon calling reception was advised that the bar does not close till midnight, thumping base music was not in the plan. After this staff needed to drag furniture across roof to tidy. Finally got to sleep at 1am. they did offer to see if there was another room, I was too tired to move at this stage. Check in was amazing. Check out was horrible. Had late check out, went to room 10 min before checkout to grab bag to find we had been locked out, trip to reception to be told well what do you expect, you need to check out soon. When finally checked out staff member did not ask how stay was, was very blunt and rude and treated us like we were nothing. Advised her of the issue previous night. Upon waiting for car, we noticed that customer checking into Pullman were treated with more respect than those at Mercure. Not very happy with overall service. Parking is way too expensive at $50 a night when we later found out you can park at Myer centre across the road on weekends for $10.

I will start by saying the staff are fantastic, especially in the restaurant Goldfinch.

Although this hotel is in a great location there are certainly some questionable “patrons” around the hotel premises. Our first room was dirty, filthy in fact. The whole floor stank like there had been serious water damage, our toilet didn’t flush and the room was very unpleasant.

The reception team were both understanding and accommodating and able to move us to a “better” room. Granted the room was better but overall this hotel is extremely dated and poorly maintained especially for the prices charged. At the time of booking the single night rate was $320 with breakfast. Overall, Expensive room rates plus $50 parking plus additional wifi charges. Much better options available in the CBD with better value for money.

These companies made millions of dollars during covid as quarantine hotels. No excuse for the current offerings.

Dear Lynsey Quite possibly the hotel will give you the room when the room is ready. It must be a good idea for you to ring the Hotel in the morning (your check in date) and request early check in. Hotel does not guarantee early check in, but still the hotel will know that you want early check in.

It's one of the most expensive places to park in Brisbane. Having said that though, they do have an excellent valet service. It's $40 per day to park there and the valet is included in the price.

There is street parking at the side entrance of the hotel near the restaurant. During the weekdays it is free between 7pm and 7am so time your day trips accordingly. It is free all day during weekends and public holidays.
