Detailed Reviews
Stayed for 4 nights. I asked for a high floor then saw on here to ask for a corner room, which I did. I booked direct as the hotel benefit more, plus the price was the same, and if you're an Accor member there's a further discount. Got a great room on the top floor and on the corner! It was great! There was construction going on next door but as we were up early it didn't bother us. I was in reception when a couple weren't happy with the noise, they wanted to check out and get a refund. The staff were very accommodating and offered a room on the other side and guaranteed they wouldn't hear the workers (they started at 7am!). They said that as they booked through a 3rd party that it would take a few days to organise a refund (great tip!) Anyway, they accepted and I hope they were happy in the end.
The pool was small but lovely, just what we needed after a long, hot day seeing the sights of Brisbane. I thought it would bother me that our room wasn't serviced daily but it really didn't. If we needed anything we only had to ask. We had a bulb missing and a down light didn't work. It was fixed straight away. All the staff that we came across were very friendly. The construction work that was going on next door was fine, we are in a city and there is building work going on everywhere. My husband is visiting Brisbane in 2 weeks and hasn't booked as he wanted my opinion first. I was more than happy to book it for him and requested the same room.
We would definitely stay there again

Have stayed at Mantra Midtown in Brisbane numerous times before, and this stay as usual did not disappoint. The staff were so helpful and friendly, especially Chaler, the Front Office Manger. It was our 10 year anniversary and Chaler, together with Housekeeping provided a lovely bottle of wine on arrival and a perfect greeting card, so funny too. The rooms were spotless, so clean to beyond covid standard and beautiful towel animals were made up on the beds, a marvellous skill for whoever did them and a perfect finishing touch. There were ample towels and supplies in the room e.g tea, coffee, soaps, spare pillows and Marshmellows and slice, um. The air conditioning worked perfectly on hot or cold and the bed was super comfortable. We had an executive 1 bedroom which was so spacious for us. Plenty of power points and cutlery, plates and cooking equipment if you wish to cook. Water pressure was so strong and warm, better than i have at home. The hotel is perfectly located in the centre of the cbd, so everything is easily within walking distance, which was great as we didn't have a car. Overall as always a wonderful stay with everything perfect. I wouldn't stay anywhere else when in Brisbane. Thanks to Front Office, reservations (for the courtesy call before our stay to confirm stay and any requests, much appreciated, great to know Accor website requests were noted and advised.) Housekeeping and of course the wonderful Chaler, who with all the staff are an asset to the hotel, and made us feel special as individuals. Nothing was ever too much trouble. I will definitely be back and might use the swimming pool in summer, it looks great. I would definitely recommend the Mantra Midtown to anyone needing an exceptional hotel at a good competitive rate, with outstanding service. Keep up the excellent work, it was much appreciated. (Hope you enjoyed the Chocolates, you deserved them)

Good Morning 645RyanH, Thank you so much for taking some time out of your busy days to leave such a comprehensive and positive review of your recent experience here at Mantra Midtown. I am truly lucky to lead such and engaged and genuinely guest-centric team. Chaler leads from the front in this respect and I am so pleased to see her getting the thanks she deserves for all the little touches that she adds to the Guest Experience here. The second overwhelmingly pleasing facet is the mention of the hardworking housekeeping team, whom day in day out, strive tirelessly to present our guests with a level of cleanliness that exceeds even the highest of expectations. Again, thanks for spending the time to make these comments I will be ensuring the team have their name in lights for some time to come on the back of such kind words. We look forward to seeing you again on your next Brisbane adventure. Stay safe

Central location was exactly what we wanted, and the apartment had everything you could need for either a short or longer stay, with good facilities for washing and cooking etc. All the staff were friendly and helpful, with a special mention for Ho, who helped us sort out teething problems with the fans and safe.
The beds were quite soft, so no good for us but would be perfect for anyone who actually likes soft beds, so just a personal dislike rather than a problem with the apartment. What we REALLY didn't like though, was the lack of curtains in the living room. (There was a net curtain only). It is quite creepy sitting there knowing that the dozens of people in the apartments over the road can see everything you are doing, like being on display. We ended up sitting in the dark and just using the ambient light from the bedrooms to see our way around in the evening. Whoever owns this particular apartment (I think it was 1103), should pay for a decent curtain to protect the guest's privacy.

Manta Midtown is in an excellent location to Queen St, Botanic Gardens, Brisbane River and the many wonderful restaurants and bars lining the river. Staff were friendly and accommodating at any time of the day or night.
Our disappointment was with the 1 bedroom Executive Apartment. We booked the Executive based on requiring more space, having comfortable seating in the lounge room and access to two televisions. The small extra bedroom was perfect to place luggage which was just as well as the main bedroom was tiny! So tiny there could only be one bedside table. The sofa lounge was so uncomfortable and the extra chair in the lounge room was a hard plastic one. As for the TV in the bedroom, there was none.
This may sound petty, but as new ALL members (silver) we were excited & deliberate in our hotel choice and had expected the room to live up to described expectations.
We jumped ship from another loyalty accommodation group to ALL. Not a good first experience.

Response from Adrian Lampe, General Manager at Mantra Midtown Brisbane
Responded 10 May 2021
Good Morning Clarard P, Sorry I can't be responding in more positive circumstances. I am disappointed as you were, that Midtown was not able to hit nee exceed your expectations during your recent visit. Our service and product delivery is something that the team work really hard to ensure is genuine and on-point. With our One Bedroom Executives you are completely right that the 2nd bedroom offers a bit more space (and bed) and I am glad you were able to utilise it for your luggage on this occasion, you also win a slightly bigger living area and balcony. As not all of our Executive apartments have a television in the bedroom we do not advertise (written or photographic) or sell this as an included feature. It is simply an improvement on expectation when it is there rather than an expectation itself. I am so sorry that this had such a detriment on your overall experience. I am supremely confident in the quality of both Mantra Midtown and certainly of the ALL Global loyalty program that I trust you will be very happy moving forward with it. I do hope we have a change to reignite your faith here at Midtown and I would welcome the opportunity to personally champion any future booking you make with us. Kind Regards

Cleanliness and hygiene are not a priority. Bench tops in the room have a thick layer of dust covering them indicating they haven’t been cleaned in some time. Privacy is severely lacking in the apartment living area, which only provides sheer curtains. From a distance there’s much further clarity than the photo from the balcony. Photos definitely do not do these justice.
An elevator was broken (these things happen that’s fine) but meant often there were lineups, today we waited almost 10 mins. This elevator has been broken since we arrived and was still not fixed when we left 4 days later. It’s also a nice idea to have the weekly forecast in the elevator, however there was no attention to detail. For reference, see photo attached (Thursday was the 6th, and there’s two 10th’s). Further more to the attention to detail, the card left on the table upon check in was for a different guest.
Also considering government regulations and the current situation, they let guests walk around freely without masks with no reprimands or reminders from staff, and disregard social distancing. Before checking in they called twice to confirm details. These details were confirmed over the phone. Upon checking in they hadn’t taken down any of the details they had called us to request.
Considering the cost compared to other accomodation in the same area we expected a lot more. In the week prior to our stay at Mantra we also stayed in a one bedroom apartment on the same street; this apartment was flawless and $80 cheaper per night.
In the future we will definitely not be going to any Mantra owned hotels if this is their standard of accomodation.

I use this hotel whenever I am in Brisbane for work and usually stay anything from two weeks to a month. The previous stays have been reasonably comfortable, however this one was the worst I have experienced in a while. The curtains in the bedroom did not fully close so there was light in the room all night from the construction site next door as lights are on 24 hours. The shower rose would not stay up and the water poured down the back wall of the shower. These two items were rectified the following day but they shouldn't have had to be noted by a customer. The construction site next door start work and loud noises every day at 6.30 am, although not the hotel fault and out of their control, it certainly detracts from wanting to stay again until this building work is complete. Weekly cleaning due to COVID and long stay and that was no concern except when I returned to the room later that evening the food I had in the fridge had been thrown out and my evening feed was gone. I found this very intrusive and should never happen to any guest. The Manager on shift provided me with some complimentary chocolates and a savoury mix of nuts, rice cracker etc and then only to find that this packet had already been opened by someone. To top it off I also found plates still in the dishwasher from the previous guest. Nothing is getting any better at this place and my patience was worn very very thin. The duty managers at the front desk were very apologetic and friendly but this still didn't make a lot of difference to this very stressful and disappointing stay. Nothing done to compensate. This hotel no longer has a restaurant or coffee shop either. Nowhere near the standard I would expect from a Mantra Hotel.

Stayed for one night in a two bedroom self contained apartment on a high floor. The apartment is quite small so it would be a tight fit for more than two people, particularly as there is one bathroom that is small also.
The upside was the two decks and it was fully self contained (oven, cooktop, microwave, washing machine and dryer).
The location is perfect and close to the Queen St Mall and Woolworths supermarket.
Parking is available for a charge and was very easy to access. As you drive into the driveway there is a parking bay so you don’t have to park on the street to get the access key to the car park and check in.
I had access to free WiFi which worked very well.
Check in was easy (this was a booking made and laid for by the company) however there was a lady checking in who was very upset with her credit card being charged as a holding fee (as indicated in other reviews). The staff however handled this situation very well.
Will definitely stay here again.

We had a great 9 day stay here in a 1 bedroom executive apartment. For our longer stay it averaged around $130 per night which is excellent value. It’s really a 2 bedroom as there is a second bedroom with a single bed which they call a study. Let me say first of all, the staff here are amazing. Secondly the location is excellent and right in the city centre quite neat Queen St Mall. Lots of bars and restaurants in the area. Coles and Woolworths are a short stroll away. Rooms are not serviced daily but reception will gladly top up what you need and replace towels etc. The apartment is quite compact so it is quite small. However there is a full kitchen, and a washing machine and a dryer which is most useful for extended stays. I regretfully only looked at the pool on the last day and to my surprise was heated and the water very warm. Had I known I would have gone for a swim despite the cooler weather. Only negatives are that the wifi is very spotty and isn’t really up to standard. It constantly cuts out and disconnects you. Reliable wifi is extremely important especially when many rely on it in the covid era in working from home. Also the lack of pay tv was disappointing. Overall a great stay.

Apartment was fine. A little noisy from the street (level 13). Annoying that on check in they charge $50 to a credit card - not just a holding amount which is released on checkout, but an actual charge. I was advised it is refunded in 7-10 business days. It isn't necessary to do this, and it seems like a way to have a lot of additional money on hand. $50 isn't a lot of money I know, but now I have to check that the amount gets refunded. Other than that, hotel is good enough and the reception staff are friendly & efficient.

Great motel centrally located in Brisbane. We had a single bedroom apartment, and even though it was small, it had a great layout and made maximum use of space. Balcony was small but allowed fresh air doors able to be kept open. Great to see a fridge larger than bar fridge size. Handy to shops, food locations and easy enough to walk to Southbank. Booked vehicle parking also and cost of $35/night was very reasonable as able to enter and exit as needed.
Only negative was that the hallway smelt when you exited the lifts… possibly from the rubbish chute??

Dear Sarah
Please be aware the breakfast deal has increased to $15. Unfortunately pancakes are not on the menu however there are many delicious options. We have healthy vegetarian bagels, burgers as well as bircher muesli and fruit options. Eggs are available in several different options. We do not have any sweet breakfast options unfortunately.
Yours Sincerely

Hi Mavis29,
The shuttle service that we recommend is Con-X-ion.
Brisbane International Airport to Brisbane CBD is normally $54 return for 2 people.
Easiest way to book this service from overseas is via the internet - apologies, it won't allow me to post the link for you!
Best wishes,
