The Regatta restaurant is a very good restaurant attached to the Regatta Hotel in South Brisbane This place is quite large with tall ceilings and as such the noise level does not get too high. It specialises in steaks, and very good steaks at that. Those we chose were cooked almost perfectly while the sides etc were fresh and tasty. There was a good range of entrees, the pick being the salt and pepper calamari Great spot for a night out
The service we received from our wait staff was excellent, very friendly, prompt and attentive.

When you order a beer and are met with a snot nosed punk barman who condescendingly tells you how terrible your choice is - do you think it makes you feel like a valued customer? Hey Mr man bun, why are you selling off the tap it if it’s so terrible??!!
No food between 11am & 11:30 seems so illogical. Literally not a single snack to be had in the place if you show up at that time! And they’re rude about that too! Even trying to order so they can start cooking at 11:30 was an inconvenience.
No jugs of beer to share? I thought this was an Aussie pub? No trays to carry all the glasses of beer you have to buy instead? No sound on the TVs in the sports bar?
Seemed full of clueless types that couldn’t think of anywhere better to meet and miserable husbands that managed to convince the wife to let them have one beer because she likes the subway tile decor.
Avoid it and hit up a pub that values your business.

Nice place. Is not cheap but beer and food is good. Bar staff could smile a bit more(males) woman were cool. Pizza was good. So was the cauliflower. Was raining so the place was soaked so much work was needed to get the place safe. Wet areas cones should be placed in the future

I have been a regular customer at the Regatta for years. I find it abhorrent that in our current climate with COVID-19 that they still have not reinstated hand soap dispensers in the Ladies bathroom. Plenty of time to do with while you closed. Yes they have protocols in place with sign ins and hand sanitizer everywhere but do they not think that the toilets could have had a significant upgrade?? . I love the Regatta but this is an absolute let down. Step up!!’

My family decided to go to the boatshed restaurant to celebrate my birthday. The rib fillet we so undercooked my daughter couldn't eat it thus my wife had to eat it and we estimate around 40% was gristle and unsuitable for eating. The steak my wife had ordered originally was the 180gm eye fillet and it was overcooked from the ordered medium rare to well done. So my review is to give the place a wide berth and eat a steak at a reputable establishment like to breaky creek hotel, they know steak. Time for a new head chef Regatta.................merry christmas.

We hosted a lunch event at the Regatta in the 1st Floor rooms and we were delighted from start to finish with the service we received. Rita, Chelsea and on the day Patrick, went above and beyond to ensure our function was a success. Their communication from Day 1 was excellent and they were so understanding of some of our last minute number changes due to COVID travel restrictions. The food was amazing and the table set up and AV facilities provided on the day ensured our function ran smoothly and our clients left very happy! Could not recommend highly enough.

Great food, delicious drinks, buzzing atmosphere and music. My girlfriend and I came on a Friday afternoon and within half an hour the place is packed. Their refreshing Sangria Jugs was worth the money and the staff at the bar are really friendly. We will be returning again x

The food and service was first class. The ambience was great as we were allocated a booth which is a fantastic spot for 4 people. Two of us us had steak which was cooked precisely as requested. The other food was enjoyed by all. When ordered, the drinks were served promptly.

Had a private function here recently. The staff where very nice and served up drinks in a timely manner. The entree where very nice too. Salt and pepper squid where lovely. The steak for mains where all cooked to perfection. Well done

Unfortunately I didn't stay at the hotel or dine having only enough time for a first short visit to the Regatta Hotel & what a view approaching by ferry & exiting at the Regatta wharf.
A beautiful building with heritage character & a relaxing area outside to relax, staff were friendly & enjoyed my Cappuccino. I certainly will return when I have more time visiting Brisbane from Cairns. Only a 10 min's walk to Toowong Village
