Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Spent 1 night at the motel as we needed to visit a nearby hospital. Parking is easy, and able to pay $10 extra to leave the car in the parking until late afternoon on day of checkout - cheaper than hospital parking costs!!
Room was small, but clean, bathroom recently renovated and shower was great!!
Found it hard to find an cheap, easy dinner as a lot of the smaller shops had closed due to covid. Pizza close by along with afew convenience stores.
Would stay here again if wanting clean, budget accommodation close to hospitals!!

My husband & I (& our friends in their own room) stayed here when going to a footy game at Suncorp Stadium. It was easy to find, the underground car park is tight but great at no cost for the stay.
The receptionist was fantastic. Very friendly, welcoming, the best reception I have come across in a long time!
The rooms are clean, tidy and comfortable. The balcony is very gross, I did not go out onto it as it looked very dirty, and unsafe. The bathroom is very clean, good size, great pressure from the shower head. There is free wi-fi, no Foxtel, the air con in the room worked well.
At night time we could hear traffic noise and people in the pubs across the road so take your ear plugs. The beds were ok, bit hard for me but otherwise no issue.

I stayed in this hotel overnight for a next day hospital appointment. . Hotel is 5 minutes walk to spring hill day surgery. There are many food options from Chinese ,Japanese Vietnamese, Indian, pizza and an IGA convenience store. They have a cafe attached to the hotel with nice lunches. My room didn't have a microwave in it, but reception were very very helpful and reheated my meal in their microwave.
The rooms are clean and tidy. I would totally recommend this hotel.

I have paid alot more money to stay in worse rooms. The room was very clean and looks like it had been recently renovated. Comfy bed individual air con which is a great feature, simple bathroom and toilet but very clean and again fixtures and tiles look fairly new. Enough room for two people traveling or on holidays - after all its just a bedroom. The main reason I chose this place was the undercover off street parking that was free, and only a 5min walk to Queen St Mall. For a Friday Night area was very quiet and I rarely saw anyone around, I felt totally safe walking down the road to the Convenience Store for a late night snack

I have stayed in other motels in the area, often because the Metropolitan was fully booked. It is a short walk to town, mostly down hill, and if I wanted to bring shopping back, can get a taxi from the city center for less than $10. I have stayed here when seeing a specialist on Wickham Terrace. Not the purpose of this trip but it is an option if that is the reason to be in Spring Hill. Parking is not guaranteed, but I never had a problem finding space. the staff are courteous and the rooms clean. Currently the restaurant is not a going concern, obvious hard to do business in lockdown(s), but there is a little cafe across the road offering Vietnamese soups and western fare. If looking for place to stay in Spring Hill. Metropolitan is excellent choice on a budget.

This motel is situated in Leichardt Street Spring Hill. I found it a bit of walk to get to from the Railway Station carrying lugguge. Rooms are tidy, easy access to the CBD from Edward Street. Tea and Coffee making facilities including cups, glasses, toiletries eg soap and shampoo provided, towels. I was placed on a top floor where there was a young group there. I just got back from Outback and would of appreciated a quieter room. Coffee shop over road from premises is good

The room was OK, but the AC didn't work properly and wasn't even pointed at the bed. It's saving grace was that it cost roughly what a hostel private room/bath would have and was a little better.

The worst part was the awful condition of the hallways. Peeling paint and excessive wear everywhere. If you weren't in your room or the lobby, it felt like an old prison.

Even just paint all the big peels for heaven's sake.

Room (216) has been tastefully renovated with newish bathroom and fittings in the cabinetry/furniture throughout. I suspect that all the rooms have been renovated aswell judging by the effort put in around the building to make it look modern without trying too hard to cover up the history of the building.
The bed and pillows were too firm for my liking but for an overnight stay it was honesty a great motor Inn.
We did notice the pod coffee machine in the room which was a great touch as well as incredibly friendly reception staff.

NOISY!
Oh so noisy. I came from the hospital and checked in at midnight. Woken at 5am as my 60's style window was located 5m from the traffic lights and you can hear absolutely everything.
Old TV and only FTA channels. A toilet that you have to sit sideways on and wifi that is so slow you cannot do anything rounds out a very disappointing stay that cost be $180.

We stayed in a family room here for a game at Suncorp Stadium, which is an easy and safe 30 minute walk away. The rooms are dated (except for the bathroom, which was more modern) but clean and the beds are comfortable. The front desk staff were friendly. The free parking is a bonus. There are lots of cafes around. It's a bit overpriced for what it is, but I suspect you can't do much better price-wise when a game is on.
