Nice hostel in the west end quarter of Brisbane. They offer a complimentary shuttle service to south bank an Roma street. 4 share room was spacious with a new bathroom ensuite. The hostel is quite big but manages to keep the family atmosphere :) No free wifi and you have to pay for kitchen plates...

Somewhere to stay was my first hostel experience, i arrived from the airport early morning to the hostel and was welcomed by the staff, i had a short wait to get into my room which i didn't mind as i was so early. My single room was very basic, but clean and perfect for my 2 night stay. the shared... More

I stayed there 10 days in a 8 beds room. You may think that's a lot of beds, but the room was really big. You can afford to be messy there. All the facilities were all above average but in the same time not at the top. The kitchen was a bit small compare to the size of the hostel.... More

Half the place was a building site. Facilities were basic and not the cleanest. Room was freezing and looked like a prison cell only lasted one night. Location was out of the way in a residential area.

staff really nice, friendly & helpful. we got a free upgrade from a private room to a room with an ensuite because of building works. Clean room, had a tv with good channels. only downside is no free wifi anywhere. free shuttle. will probably be better than you think, name undersells it.

The staff here were brilliant - a friendly Welsh guy can to pick us up from town with their free shuttle bus. The room itself was dirty and a bit shabby. The kitchen was good and there was someone cleaning it constantly whilst we were there. They have a TV area with a bunch of bean bags which was nice.... More

Me and my partner stayed here for 2 weeks in a private room. The room itself was nice and big with shelves to put our stuff on rather than living out our suitcase which was nice. When we checked in we found a bee or wasp nest outside our window we told reception and were offered another room which we... More

Very low quality accomodation - room smelled bad, not enough bathrooms, kitchen with unfriendly signs and with no dishes. But ok, the ask for less than any other hostel in the area so it´s kind of fair. Location is good, you can walk to the city or they provide transport for free at certain times.

Looked up this place as soon as we got off the plane in Brisbane, it didn't look too bad so we gave it a shot. Believe it or not we were actually quite impressed; I mean, it's a backpackers what more do you expect? The dorms were average as were the bathroom units and toilets but when you're paying only... I stayed in this hostel for 2 months while i was working in Brisbane. I had completely ran out of money and just picked the cheapest hostel i could find on really short notice. I've stayed in many hostels up and down Australia. But this one was absolutely perfect for me. Social/quiet areas. For if you're in the mood to... More
